Lovely work out there. Everything important you got there, there are of course grey zones within PS(S) FM lines and also all the various organs that are programmable and mixed up often with many synth features.
My only issue is the music, this really deserves a soundtrack true to the instruments you are showing, ideally dynamically evolving together with introducing new pieces and technologies.
    All the best!

Thanx man. Means a lot. Copyright is the problem with the appropriate music. Okayish free songs are countable to a few hundreds..if that..so I must "save" for future vids

@@TML0677 I do have few of the instruments you showed (especially 70's and some 80's, no 90's but thats workable with other tools) and for this case (history, relevance / genuinity) I might be able to produce some music for you under creative commons licence.

I remembered 2 videos which present the entire PSR (not PSS) Yamaha history & even they forgot 1-2 models. Do you actually realize what work you have taken on?
I was only able to select the models where the synth functions are obvious on the panel.
    .
First of all Yamaha MK100 (1983) which is still analogue, but sounds like FM, was apparently the very first Portatone with a real synth in form of a turning role operated with buttons.
The (obvious) PSR-synthesizers are: PSR16 (1988), PSR21 (1986), PSR22 1987), the cult kb itself: PSR36 (1988), PRS41 (1987), PSR80 (1987), PSR90 (1987) & possibly (but not sure) PSR6300 (1986). However, there were 1-2 predecessors from the last one in 1984 (with like mentioned possibly no synth inside). I've not seeked in the PSS departement & don't know exactly anymore which ones were included in your video and which weren't.
Personally I know PSS 390 (with many synth sliders), PSS380 has the same ones, PSS 480, 680, 780 should be know, but PSS 790 & PSS795 (1990/91) have a clearly visible vector synth.
& now it gets really confusing:
Even in the late 8Os I've personally seen & touched still analogue(!) PSS with four buttons arranged in a rectangle to shape the sounds.
    DSR 500/1000/2000 should be known.
    Yanaha's monstrous HS 4 ,5, 6, 7 & 8 organ's contain a fully programmable TX81Z; without need for an additional computer like (unfortunately) HX1 did

I excluded organs.. Just mentioned a few as I remember. As you said :there is a thin line between advanced ones and synths. PSSes and PSRs I could do a separate job, if anyone would be interested. But growing up in the 80s I had a Casio, and some Yamaha of that nature. So again..hard to make a difference between synths and toys. I mentioned a few in the vid tho.

PSRs are considered arranger keys, or their predecessors. I plan to do a video about those. Thanx for the comment man, you are right about lot of things.. I read them all and always have something to learn, and improve future vids. As for what did I get myself into.: my head hurts, but I seem to love it lol

@@TML0677 As long as you're having fun. Since I own many synth- PSS/PSRs & even the HX1organ, I can only detect a difference between PSR & PSS in the size of the keyboard. Acoustically & even functionally there's almost none. I mean those from the FM realm.

Thanks my man. That is my goal. To make musicians lives a tiny bit better so when they search for an instrument, it's easier to find it here, then thwy can move on and watch it reviewed on other channels / sites. Its not perfect, I know, but we are gonna make lists as close as possible.
