My first synth 16 years ago was MicroKorg, despite I now own Nord, Moog, Roland and Novation synths. I'm still returning to MicroKorg. You can do whole pallete of sounds. From bass to 80s pads. I still can't believe it. But it is truth. And it is great for live gigs (with external midi keyboard :D )
OG MicroKORG was my first synth like 15yrs ago when I was in high school. Good times, this is such a great update. I'm glad my kid will have a way easier interface to play with when he gets into this stuff (hopefully.)
@@Jason75913 I hear you, but if it's marketed towards newcomers, why not? I'm cool with it if it's being used as an incentive to have newcomers try all the different functions. As long as they don't "lock" functionality behind trophies (i.e. "you must unlock this trophy if you want to use this function" which would be completely unacceptable gamer BS), I'm cool with it.
@@TonyCrenshawsLatte That superfluous feature, among others shown, demonstrates how they put some good amount of thought into the synth. I wish they thought things through as much for a number of their other products.
Roland is still holding their 3 digit „screens“ near to their heart in all boutiques etc. I wish i could love them too. I mean even burplinger manages to put a display that can show actual characters on their 59 euro mini synths… Come on Roland….
They should have made the knobs continous controllers so the settings never jump when you tweak a knob! You can see the position on screen so it6 would make sense that they were continous
Microkorg II… Modern Classic…. Hmmmm…. Yeah Nah! How about a MicroKorg Deluxe with full sized keys instead of the spongy micro keys and knobs like the MS2000 which this synthesisers heritage.
It sounds too muddy for me. Not crazy about the pads, but it has some nice sfx and bass possibilities, surprisingly good for bass… Got one few days ago, but I’ll probably return
A (fairly) high resolution color display on a small synth, only 50 years after the invention of the color LCD? What's going on here? *SHOCK* 🤯 I thought there was an unwritten law that you have to use cheap, low-res, low-contrast, narrow viewing angle, black&wite displays on music gear...
The legendary duo together again
Luke is back - way to go!!!

What an awesome product. Sounds great and looks really inspiring and fun to use. Props to the devs!
Great presenter duo, and a fascinating revamp of the Microkorg.
That screen! 😳😳😳 Roland, are you watching?🤯
That's a fantastic demo 👏🏻
Amazing upgrade too...I want one!!
Protect these men at all cost
i got mine . the silver is really cool ,

Unlocking trophies is totally silly and absolutely brilliant at the same time.
I'd prefer gamer bs be left out of synths.

Seems like a worthy follow up! I am actually impressed :) All the best, Tobi
This is wonderful!! I'm excited to see this duo again for a Grandstage X review!
Great to see Luke again!!!
so cute this synth
This looper should be a standard on any future synth! 🙌
Can't wait for the demo video!
It’s Luke from Korg!!!!
Microkorg was my first hardware synth 20 years ago. I didn’t like it back then, but in hindsight I made some great tracks with it.

One of the best toys for any age.
It's the Luke from Korg! :)
im coming to see the guildford flames in december, will pass by the shop for a demo
This and the multipoly are exciting products

That's the biggest flaw of this new MicroKorg.
I'm sure this could be fixed in a firmware update down the line!
@@joshjamesuk Sure, I'm still waiting for Arturia to bring the Minifreak up to the same level as the microfreak nearly two years later
Cooles Gerät! 🔥👍
Wow wow wow bitimbral huuuge
the new op1
i still have my microkorg xl, shame they didnt make this modern version with a sampler
Maybe they will take on that good idea :)
@@MrQmason hope so the sample workstation synth keyboard im sure is still something that would interest people standalone of course
Damn for 500 quid I might ask Santa for one of these. Looks fun
Please do a Micro Korg xl+ 2 with a built In speaker like the Yamaha reface series for portable practice
How to export the recorded loops?
Micro korg
Micro Korg xl
Micro korg II
I might get 1
😍😍😍
More fitting name, imho:
KORG microGroove
..as it's soo different from a OG uKORG :)
Does it exist as a vst?
Give it 1 year and no doubt it will for 200 quid.
@@maydaygoingdown5602 VSTs are a scam especially subscription based payment cloud serviced VSTs
I'm not saying that I need this .. but
Nice little Board. But for $650 your better off getting a Deepmind 6 for the same price. In my opinion of course..
Get a Hydrasynth Explorer
800 dollar is not acceptable but these products are no longer in reach for the (former) middle class...
Very sad
An original microKORG thankfully still goes a looong way ;)
Isn't it 599?
Get the minifreak it's a much better synth

Little to much marketing speak and not enough honest opinion in this one. :(
It’s a shop, marketing is what they do. Plus Luke is head honcho at Korg these days.
oh that’s nice about Luke - well done lad!
This makes me want to buy a MK V1 again... But the price for the V2? No thanks....
The OG is best though

How else will they justify 800 dollar price tag... ridiculous imo
@@Parialated To be fair, the DSP that runs the sound engine may cost them up to 15 bucks. Oh, wait...
@@Parialated The price is worth it. It's in a similar league to the minifreak
