I wish people understood that "vegan" isn't synonymous with "healthy". A lot of my favorite unhealthy snacks and drinks like Oreos, onion rings, French fries, fried pickles and Ginger ale are vegan or can easily be made vegan, even at restaurants. I think people are put off from veganism because they think they'll never be able to eat anything "good" or junk food-ish again. A lot of vegans are healthy but being vegan doesn't mean you're just eating carrot sticks everyday. I feel everyone should try it at some point in life, even if just for a month, in order to be healthier, save the environment, respect animals but just remember some of the things you already eat are probably vegan. Also, chances are there's a delicious vegan recipe for all the snacks and meals you can't live without. Depending on where you live there could be good vegan restaurants too, especially if you live in a big, diverse city. Ultimately eat how and what you want, balance is key and respect for nature and it's resources is key too. Those things are also not synonymous with veganism either. But if you do consider veganism just know it doesn't mean you're giving up everything good.
