I think they’re missing a lot of proportion and texture details. The looks on the models are expertly curated… some of these dupes aren’t as nice because the quality isn’t as nice. That’s why they say they didn’t understand what was so cool about it.
Okay but did anyone else feel like this video was filled with unnecessary and offensive comments towards “skinny” people? I have never read one article saying that plus sized girls shouldn’t wear these “off duty model” looks. Wear what you want! Stop oppressing yourself, sis. We shouldn’t put down models for wearing the clothes they want just because we don’t get the same recognition when we wear the same outfit. Nobody is taking pictures of you and calling it “off duty model look” because you aren’t a supermodel(but you are beautiful, of course. It’s just not your job).
Yeah absolutely no offense to any of the women in these video (they’re gorgeous and I love their styles!) but the “model off duty look” is called that because it’s literally just models wearing basic clothes because they’re off duty 😭
Yeah I feel we shouldn't be criticising individual people but rather the media pushing the message that they are doing the most in fashion when really they are just wearing normal clothing.
It’s the same when Jazz was griping about race and then turning around and saying it IS about race. Honey, you are proving people’s point. It’s not all about race and you need to STOP assuming that everyone is automatically making comments about your race(btw, so convenient to not mention the white side of the family like all the other idiotic people who gripe about black people being oppressed but then they don’t give credit to the white side of the family caring for them when the black side of the family abandons them, etc.). I’m tired of being bombarded with omg being black is is being oppressed all the damn time or how every white person is racists. Like no you are not. You are only holding yourselves back by living up to stereotypes, playing the victim card, etc. If we truly want to get rid of racism then the black community needs to ALSO stop playing victim, stop seeing color(which they do whether they want to admit to), stop using their race to get ahead, stop assuming that everyone is out to get them, stop calling people Karens or crackers because that is offensive too, stop calling black Americans who refuse to use their race as a crutch or blame the white man for everything Uncle Toms, etc. And if there are people who look at my post and call me a bigot or racist just proved my point. I could give two shits what color you(my brother-in-law is black and I love him) are but I AM getting tired of being attacked because of MY skin color which is white. Martin Luther King Jr. said to judge people by their content and not the color of their skin but most black Americans WANT to be judged by their skin color and want to be segregated by having their own schools, own t.v networks, own holidays, own National Anthems, etc. Do you not see the idiocy and the stupidity that you are doing to yourselves? I wasn’t trying to be off subject but it goes hand in hand with what you are saying about skinny people. We shouldn’t be so rude to skinny people just because they are skinny just as the same we shouldn’t be offensive towards fat people(if they are a healthy kind of fat). If you are extremely overweight then you need some serious help and shouldn’t take offense when people tell you the truth because that is not healthy to be that fat. Period.
@@naomii473 Yeah but that's the thing: why is there no fat, or even mid size supermodel? Also, I do think they exagerated some things, but you can't deny that "a flat stomach" is the untold accessory needed for the fashion world to consider some of these outfits "a look".
@@misskate8828 because media works by selling you something to aspire to. sorry but it's not as profitable to put morbidly obese women on fashion magazine covers, because no customer will look at it and think "wow, i wish i had her body".

This is so inspiring. I used to be a skinny girl and I’ve gained a lot of weight since then cos of bad eating habits and just a general slowing of my metabolism. For so long, I wouldn’t let myself buy clothes for my new body, I just kept trying to lose weight. I’ve only started coming round to the fact that I’m never going back to my skinny weight and started buying clothes for my new body. Seeing these women who are much bigger than me just own all the outfits they wear is so empowering and inspires me to buy outfits that make me feel the same way. Thank you so much for making this video!
quite disappointed with the outfits chosen :c there are so many more stylish models you guys could’ve gone for, like Elsa Hosk. It just seemed like this video only revolved around the same 5 models 😔
Okay 11:21 is not okay. Your body is not an accesory and your perception is what matters. We seem to be hating on all body types, why not just stop making things focus around a persons body? As well I agree that this idea that only heavier people get hate is ridiculous and self loathing just makes it worse.
Some of the outfits where good for them but really for me is just everyday clothes everybody wear. just because of models wear it doesn’t mean we can wear them of don’t look good on us . Very good video . You are all beautiful !!
Omg, this was SO GOOD! Honestly I hate that people get so judged by their bodies. Our bodies carry our minds and souls through the world and should be honored, regardless of size. Yall DID THAT, and rocked it, and looked Ah-mazing!
I want to see them in the actual model looks. Like the unlimited bank account and the clothes from the most expensive brands. They were right of course about fat phobia but I just want to see them really slay
I loved the black and yellow non model top that Jessica was wearing . It was my favorite. 2nd favorite was the outfit with the animal print trucker hat that Jazzmyne wore.
Model off-duty looks have nothing to do with the size of your body. Models do tend to be thin but the model off-duty look isn’t only for thin people, nor are they “not supposed to be worn by plus size people”. It’s gross how these women are making that up and asserting it to viewers. Since when was “jeans and a top” labeled for “thin white women” only? Yuck yuck. When a thin person who ISNT a model wears jeans and a top, they aren’t “going to be in paparazzi photos”. It has NOTHING to do with body size - they’re “in photos wearing model off-duty” because they’re models. YOURE the ones spreading the idea that plus sized people aren’t supposed to wear these looks. I’ve never ever heard this before watching this video.
Yes thank you !!! The whole time I was confused why they were implying that only thin people could wear jeans and a t-shirt ? I also didn’t understand why they kept being up the fact that the models wanted to show off their body as if it was a negative thing ? Like when they would imply that the models only accessories was their thin stomach ?
Ya I understand what your saying but I don’t think that it’s like not meant for bigger people I think the point was if a bigger person did wear it it wouldn’t be photographed as iconic , I used to be very overweight and I would get the backlash from some people if my clothes seemed plain like that , but ya I get what you’re saying
The video gives me bad vibes. I think that the problem is that Buzzfeed is just making wrong storytelling. The argument of this videos should be "Celebs clothes" or something like that, and stop emphatizing in "Plus size women..." bc the fact that their doing that is still making "plus size" a taboo.

You are all beautiful and looked amazing in all the outfits! I truly feel that pulling off an outfit is not only about the body, but your confidence when you wear it! You all rocked!
They all look sooo good. But Jazz is everythingggg, her and Joyce are my fave.
everything Jazz and Jess wore was fire
We need to love everybodys body regardless of weight. Wear what u want because the end of the day make yourself happy f the haters. Sending love x
I FREAKING LOVE JOYCE SO MUCH
This is just the best. I want friends like you. You all get each other and are so frigin beautiful. I absolutely love your humor. Y’all made me smile so much I’m teary eyed 🥲😄Sooo funny!!! I have been so sad and depressed. Huge love to you 🥰💞🌷💐🌈💫 I hope there’s more of you all together. I subscribed and got all notifications. Blessings lovelies 🙏💖💗🌈
Can i just say i adore the conversation part of the video? This is a brilliant series and its proof that we're all on the right direction.
I am not plus sized, but this video was amazing and helped me so much. I am very short (4’11) and I often feel that I can’t pull off something because I am not tall like a model. These ladies looked so cute in many of the outfits. If they can rock something with confidence, then so can I!
I love a good Kate appearance! Their reaction to Jazz's outfit on day one was just so good. xDD Love them!
I love jazz's personality, these girls all look so fun to hang out with!!
Lindsay’s hair 😧👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥 go off lookin’ fierce! while not even trying
It just seemed like this video only revolved around the same 5 models 😔
agreed. I would’ve loved to see Sora Choi outfits too
I don’t know how this fell into my feed, but so glad it did. Love you ladies and i love hearing your perspective and experience.
They all crushed this!
i absolutely LOVE jordan’s style!! their closet seems so bright and colorful and lovely
That last outfit Joyce picked for them.. wow, it was really hot 🥵. My jaw dropped.
“I’m a supermodel in my own mind so this is my model off duty look” !!!!! PERIODDDDDDTTTTT
some of the outfits were super cute! all their own outfits looked really cute too
I love them all so much! "My nipples are not participating " - so funny
The all brown outfit was *chef's kiss* peak 90's soft glam and I loved it for you lmao
Okay 11:21 is not okay. Your body is not an accesory and your perception is what matters. We seem to be hating on all body types, why not just stop making things focus around a persons body? As well I agree that this idea that only heavier people get hate is ridiculous and self loathing just makes it worse.
Oh no, honey. It's okay to hate on thin, white women. Just not on fat and/or black women :)
Some of the outfits where good for them but really for me is just everyday clothes everybody wear. just because of models wear it doesn’t mean we can wear them of don’t look good on us . Very good video . You are all beautiful !!
Wait this was so cute and wholesome. It felt like I was at a sleepover haha!
I absolutely love Joyce!!! She's a super model and she makes me laugh a lot 💙💚🤣🤣
Wow they are trying so hard to prove their point. Not sure this is body positivity anymore, didn't hear anything positive from them.
These four people are all awesome and they looked amazing in each look! I especially loved Jaz’s all black look 😍
More content with these four babes PLEASE!!!!
I loved the black and yellow non model top that Jessica was wearing . It was my favorite. 2nd favorite was the outfit with the animal print trucker hat that Jazzmyne wore.
that “here I am to worship” took me OUT
I need joyce and jazz in my life for a day 😍😍🥺i lack confidence 🙂😭😭
Any body shape or size can wear anything they feel comfortable in!!!!!!
I think Jazzmyn nailed each outfit.
“ what kind of stuff are you working on?” “uhhh model stuff”
There's so much fast fashion in these videos. They should set up a depop to sell all these items on - I would speeeeeennnnddd.
Like when they would imply that the models only accessories was their thin stomach ?
yesss!! exactly
Literally
The video gives me bad vibes. I think that the problem is that Buzzfeed is just making wrong storytelling. The argument of this videos should be "Celebs clothes" or something like that, and stop emphatizing in "Plus size women..." bc the fact that their doing that is still making "plus size" a taboo.
Jess in her Kendall Jenner white top, leather jacket was SUCHA VIBE! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I love Jess’s decor! That flower blanket is really cute!
LOL, I love you guys so much! Joyce is amazing!
The fact that all their names start with a J 🤣
I think this was a really fun idea. I really think you ladies look good any way you dress. Enjoy your body, enjoy you life! ❤️
"HERE I AM TO WORSHIP" had me ded
