Pro tip: if you hate celery use the stalks of parsley instead. If you can find it, use lovage, it has a taste similar somewhat with celery and you might not hate it.
@@pennywisethedancingclown2702 That's exactly why there are 2 other recipes in the video. Destiny's easy recipes taking like a few mins. Wills recipes which were normal and average for a meal.
You obviously do not spend three hours on those meals, it just takes that long because of all the marinating. I work from home and start preparing diner around 2pm regularly. You mix some marinade, slice your tofu, prepare some noodle dough, stuff like that. You go back to work and come back to your food two hours later, etc...
All these recipes looked pretty good, but Destiny's look the best and most affordable/attainable. Will's recipes looked good but a bit expensive with the meat and cheese substitutes. Lastly, Rachel's looked good for special occasions since they were so time consuming.
Destiny's and Will's recipes are absolutely something I will do. I just don't have the time to spend 3 hours cooking, however Rachel's dumpling recipe is something I could do on the weekend. As a side note, I love Will's personality.
Bigger Bolder Baking on UA-cam shows how to make a lot of the expensive items at home. Mary's Test Kitchen is also informative. I learned how to make dairy-free sweetened condensed milk, for example.
What a great format! Lots of recipes in a short time without having to sit through real-time measuring of every tsp or real-time chopping if every single veggie. More like this, please! You were all fantastic!
I really like the different layers of complexity for each person. Sometimes vegan food looks too complicated, but destiny's dishes seemed so easy and quick and delicious- definitely gunna have to give them a try.
Maybe for next time have a 3 levels of whole food eating? -they all seemed delicious but that’s a lot of processed vegan substitutes (also huge! amounts of oil/butter)
Edit: Yeah lots of processed stuff but tbh when I go full vegan I'm prolly gonna be the same way, like now with non-vegan stuff even if I know I should eat less of it xD
Yeah. I'm not vegan so I could literally make these with the real thing. I wish there were healthier options (eg instead of vegan butter in biscuits and stuff) or substitutes instead of vegan cream cheese
Just made Will's biscuits! Let me just tell y'all THEY. WERE. DELICIOUS!!!!! Only thing I did differently was add a tablespoon of lemon juice to the milk to make vegan buttermilk(: I did also add just a little cracked pepper to the dry ingredients. They turned out HUGE, yet super light and fluffy😍 Just simply delicious and my whole family loved them. Thank you for sharing that recipe with us Will!!
rachel making breakfast like "I let that marinate for 2 hours while the tofu drains, then bake for 90 minutes and let rest for half an hour before blanching it in an infusion I prepared last week" bruh by the time you're done it's dinner time
Really appreciate the breadth of vegan coverage here, and none of these recipes are skimping on flavor and richness. I love finding some vegan recipes that I know I can feed my dad and shock him with.
Just so people know, the branding is a bit confusing and it took me a while too, Maruchen brand soy flavored ramen is not vegan- it has beef broth. Nissin brand soy flavored ramen is vegan though. Also if you can find it, Nissin chili flavors and Nissin sweet chili are also great
@@SemesterAtSeaHopeful so? the same resources went into making it and she still paid for it. Plus other baby vegans will see this and think thats a safe one to use. Lots of baby vegans make mistakes, its a huge part of your life to change. I'n not throwing a fit or calling her names, just giving others a heads up.
@@Coop_Boop yes! Buying meat-flavored packets still adds to buying from the supply chain you're trying to disrupt. It's like buying a sandwich with turkey and then taking off the turkey before you eat it, kinda defeats the purpose. Plus i have also accidentally bought brand of soy sauce ramen before so you're just being helpful by pointing that out for anyone else watching.
Loved this!! So nice to see such unique recipes, I feel like sometimes vegan recipie ideas are so repetitive; tofu scramble this and veggie bowl that. Would love to see this same idea but for people with a budget/with unprocessed options!
I would of hated having to make 3 hour meals. The holidays are hard enough and I only spend 2 hours MAX for 1 thing, not three in 1 day. Props to Rachel 👏
This video made me find the category of videos I was looking for, I'll look up quick easy vegan meals and they're still not quick enough. Searching minute wise gives helpful search results
For chicken and dumplings, you could use none egg matza. I would make medium sized chunks and work it into the potatoes. It could work out really well.
Love seeing so many vegan videos! Melanie Macdonald has a easy recipe for vegan butter, it tastes amazing and doesn't use any palm oil. You need a blender, coconut oil, olive oil, almond flour, nutritional yeast and salt. It reminded me of whipped butter.
Omg that ramen 3minute recipy! So good! I made it vegetarian with honey an mustard sauce because I didn't have peanut butter at home :/ it turned out pretty good, so I really wanna try the original vegan recipe!!
Just FYI..... I’ve made the tofu dumpling soup.... it’s delicious... I used corn starch instead of potato starch and doubled the recipe but dang...... *chefs kiss*
I believe worcestershire sauce is normally not vegan because it contained some sort of anchovy product which is fish. There is such thing as vegan Worcestershire sauce but in its natural state it is not vegan.
As a Canadian, we don’t have anything like that. I would call that “ham” or perhaps peameal if it was coated in cornmeal. That’s the only “bacon” that is that thick. This is a really awesome idea, love the different creators too.
I’m not vegan but my older brother is vegetarian, the other is pescatarian, this means I’ve grown up eating (and loving, I genuinely don’t get the hate on substitutes) a lot of vegan/vegetarian substitutes, so these recipes looks super interesting to try getting some more vegan variety in my diet since I often still have some dairy in my food. Edit: spelling lol
Can we get Will his own cooking show?!? He makes cooking look so fun.
Will is like the best friend you could ever have
He's country Bootsy Collins.
I like his voice, it's like asmr :)
I love his smoothie voice
His commentary is funny and nice to listen too!
Will is like the Bob Ross of vegan cooking
Ah I just commented the same thing and then scrolled down to find this 😂😂
Honestly😭.
The whole time I was thinking "I would legit watch him cook as an hour-long ASMR video"
fr. the two top comments are the two things I thought to comment. amazing.
When is Will going to have his own UA-cam channel Because everyone loves him he has the fun factor the cool factor and a tasty factor
Will is the male version of Tabitha Brown and I’m here for it. ❤️
My thoughts the whole video.
Male version* but I agree! They are both super funny!
hahahahah yessss
@@talialebde2582 thank you, I fixed it!! what a weird autocorrect, huh?! Hahaha
Yessss I love it!
I love to see Destiny in these videos, I know she said she wanted to go vegan months ago, so happy to see her making vegan dishes
Yes! And she used to hate veggies and now she is vegan! Soo happy for her 😊
Me too! I love Destiny
Her recipes are realistic
I was wondering about destiny being in this vid. Because in the past I knew she wasnt vegan. Good for her tho!!
Right!? I was like yaaaas!!! She's doing it!
"enough to feed a family or enough to feed you if you really hungry"
lllmmmaaaooo i FELT that
same lmao
Will: And then my favorite seasoning, some good old PAPA-RIKA
Southern accents lol
I love him sm 😭
😭😭😭😭
Y'all caught that too? Lol
I love the guy, his recipes would literally convert me to being vegan
Then do it :))))
Pro tip: if you hate celery use the stalks of parsley instead. If you can find it, use lovage, it has a taste similar somewhat with celery and you might not hate it.
Swiss chard stalks are great too! Like celery not as stringy!
Lovage is also really easy to grow!
I could listen to Will for hours! A wonderful voice! 😍
If you spend 3 hours each on breakfast, lunch and dinner, do you still do anything else in the day???!
Brooo Ikr!!
She is probably meal prepping
I’m assuming it’s just click bait for the video and she (hopefully) doesn’t do that regularly. It makes veganism sound really pretentious.

Tabitha brown and will need to make a cooking video together. I could listen to that warm southern accent all dayyy 🤗
Would love to see more recipes without substitutes (vegan cream cheese etc. are all really expensive!)
You can actually make homemade versions of the substitutes.

I recommend you check out Indian recipes most of them are vegan. Try out channels lik kabitas kitchen, hebbar kitchen and Nisha madulika .
Take care 👋🏻
3-minute meals: buy $50 worth of substitutes (if you can find them)
3-hour meals: buy $15 worth of ingredients and prep substitutes yourself
For ground meat, I would use brown lentils or black beans for the enchiladas, but you can use the same recipes otherwise.

the unscraped bowls when Destiny was making the peanut sauce... that was painful to watch.
What does that mean
@@MysteriousBeingOfLight when she was scraping the peanut butter into the bowl she wasted a lot and she missed a lot
