    I am new to your channel and you do a really good job of explaining things. I’m brand new to the thumb button release and the making the slight fist way works the best for me. Your video on increasing bow weight to factory by twisting cables and strings brought the bow back to spec. It surprised me on how the bow can be in time but not enough preload on limbs. Thanks so much for your help! Bob

    Thank you for the lesson! I've watched many videos on the 'best' way to shoot a thumb release. Even your other ones 😉. But this was the first time I understood how to get my hand into the relaxed position. I was concerned about the release slipping out of my hand and by adding the 4 finger attachment (Scott Pursuit) it made it feel more secure. Which allows me to relax a but more.

    Thanks for the lesson! I just got a Prime Black 3 bow left handed and I was doing some research on it and I came across your review on this same bow! Very nice and I am in the process of getting this setup. I used to use the wrist releases and a friend of mine let me use his thumb release and I have never looked back. The thumb release feels a lot better than a wrist release, at least it does for me. Thanks again and looking forward to seeing some more. :)

    ps. I'm using a 'Resistance' Release as a Thumb Release Trigger, with the Thumb Button as the Safety and the poundage set ~10 lbs below my holding weight.
    It's Sublime 🙂

    I followed your approach today at the range and experienced less to no pain in my elbow. I noticed more pain before when I fully gripped the release, but not today.
    Thank you once more for your videors. I really appreciate the contents and keep up the good work.. Cheers

    What I realized was, I had my elbow, a little too high, which ultimately it was also lifting my shoulder up good job on explaining one of the few people that I understood everything you were trying to get through to us.

    I wish I watched this before I got mine. Eventually I got it but I lost a few arrows. So many times the bow pulled me a tiny bit off the back wall, because of trying to relax my hand. Natural reflex is to grab the release, boom of it flys. Amazingly about 70 percent of the time I actually got the target. But the ones that didn’t went through my metal shed. My trailer. Heaps of trees. So deep into the ground China complained, and several I never heard hit anything nor saw them leave. It’s like they just vanished from the bow.

    • @timbow50
      @timbow50 Рік тому +3

      Brett, UA-cam John Dudley and another site “ bow only outdoors “ and watch their vids on proper thumb button use. These two have it down 100%. Stop shooting at targets until you can control it. Get like 5 feet from a target THAT IS LEVEL WITH YOU and then try what these videos show you. I’ve been using releases of every type since they were invented and I guarantee you IF YOU WILL DILIGENTLY practice what’s in those videos you will shoot great.

    Do you think a hinge is good to hunt whitetail with , like a true back tension or is a finger trigger better

    • @connor_bohnts
      @connor_bohnts Рік тому

      I personally think if you can use a hinge with gloves on I would totally do it. A true back tension could be harder to execute when you have nerves. I personally hunt with a hinge and I have never not had a surprise shot on an animal. The index release would be most simple for sure, It’s definitely gonna help you out with gloves on and if you NEED to punch the trigger I think it’s better to to have the index release. I hope this helped🤙🏼.

    Hey will you comment on your anchor and peep alignment with your perfex and uv hinge? I have the same releases and the uv hinge neck is so much longer. Are you able to shoot both with the same poi out of your bow?

    • @InsideOutPrecision
      @InsideOutPrecision  Рік тому

      Yeah it’s really hard to find two releases that are different brands that will anchor/hit the same. A lot of companies are now making a hinge and thumb release with the same handle so you can switch between them without dealing with what you’re talking about

  • @timjoinson7232
    @timjoinson7232 Рік тому

    I am just switching from hinge to handheld. Where should the thumb trigger lie against the thumb? I have extended tge bar on mine to get it well behind the first thumb joint into tge fleshy part. Is this correct? Really useful video, thanks. Good to see you back.

    • @adamyoder1
      @adamyoder1 Рік тому

      Think this is more of a personal preference as long as it allows for a relaxed hand and clean break.

    • @timjoinson7232
      @timjoinson7232 Рік тому +1

      I feel it is more critical than that. I have been struggling to get a consistent thumb position, which I am sure is important. I also think that thumb position can affect how flat the draw hand is and how clean the break is. I will keep working on it.

    • @adamyoder1

    • @timjoinson7232
      @timjoinson7232 Рік тому

      I have one that I made and it is really useful for practicing with the release. The hand and thumb positions are starting to feel more consistent. As the break is becoming more natural the whole shot seems much steadier when shooting the bow. Still some way to go but the progress is really encouraging. Thanks for your help and advice.

    Oh Danny mccartney He says he comes back with his hand his hand really tight then wraps his thumb around and as he relaxes his 4 arm and his hand that's what his shot brings and that's exactly how I shoot a thumbbutton and a hingerelease

    So lengthening the d loop could get the back shoulder to drop "IF" your draw length is correct? Because that seems to me my issue at the moment I think. My anchors are set really good but seems like my rear shoulder is still too high

  • @aaronwenzel5769
    @aaronwenzel5769 Рік тому

    So their is a lot of talk about nock pinch and tension on the stings for face pressure I haven’t found anything about the d loop twist from the anchor point, does this have any affect on accuracy? (palm out )

    I’ve noticed with my Stan resistance that I have hooked to a wrist strap like Kellen does in this video allows me to relax my hand way better. I’m thinking of throwing one one my thumb too to see if it allows me to relax that hand better.
