    Late to the game here lol but I'm headed to my local shop either Monday or Tuesday shopping for my first bow. I've been rifle hunting for many years however as a trucker I always miss rifle season due to how I run November and December. I however am home every weekend the rest of the year so bow season is prime for me. I've been doing a lot of research on different bows, fundamentals, tips and tricks and your videos have been a huge help in helping in understanding archery. I'm very excited to get into the sport now. Thanks for everything brother and keep it up!!

    I just got back into archery after 10 years. Literally watched this video, went out to shoot and used this grip instead of my typical open hand grip. Groups were half in size at 40 yards. Thanks for the helpful tips!

    Thank you, thank you. Your tips were spot on. Almost gave up on my Halon X. Once I changed out the old grip(flat grip) and switch to Shrewd grip. POI improved greatly. Shooting 1 inch groups. Thanks again for great instructions and advice.

    This is so much better than all the other form/grip videos I've watched. I was really fucking it up earlier but I had to crank my draw weight down and now I draw so fucking smoothly and my pins are really close to bullseye when I reach full draw. Game changer this video was, thanks buddy.

    I know this is an older video, but I have to tell you, this is an awesome tip. I’ve watched it at least 3 times, over and over, to reinforce this technique. I’ve watched a couple other videos, but this one is the one that made sense to me. Thanks!
    On a side note, I’m a long haul trucker and at 51, just got into archery hunting. I’ve been watching your videos over the past few months. I like your reviews and definitely your tips. I just subscribed. Keep putting out the great content. It’s really helping a guy like me! 👍🏻👍🏻

    this video just saved me so much frustration. got my bow back from the shop all dialed, dead on at 20 yards, get home and shoot and im missing low and to the right really bad. talking missing the target completely. saw this and thought maybe I wasn't gripping correctly. sure enough, once I slowed down and made sure my grip was correct I was back on target. thank you.

    I've been struggling with hand placement, watched video after video and tried every hand placement and I still get a bow kick to the right causing my arrows to go to the right, get a consistent hit to the right with my arrows and they fly left and right thru the air, I've tried every arrow spine and every one of them fly that way and hit to the right...

    I am at my wits end trying to bare shaft paper tune my bow I have done everything I can do without a bow press. I thought my cam timing may be out of wack and need a cable turn or something so I took my bow to a local bow shop and they blamed my grip and cause my bow was in center shot. I don't believe its my grip because I am getting a consistent inch and a half left tear. Any advice?

    At about 10 yards I am getting 2-3” bareshaft tears to the right (right hand). I am struggling to determine if this is a grip issue, or a bow issue. I am testing a 250 and 300 spine arrow with 100 grain inserts.

    I'm waiting for the day they build a bow that has an ergonomic grip that is designed to mitigate wrist torque. They build bows with "pistol grips" that you're not supposed to use.

      Biws used to have ergonomic geips and they’re torque machines. If held correctly, as demonstrated in this video, it will induce the least amount of torque possible

    what is the best thing to do for guys that do not run dual stabilizers, and find there level is not able to get center because of arrows and sight tilting the bow to the side those are on? shoudl we correct bubble with our hand or get another sibilzer?

    • @EDHBowman
      @EDHBowman 4 роки тому +1

      Brandon Caulkins offset the front stabilizer (see Kellen’s during the head on shot), make sure you experiment with different lengths and weights,...this tuning is critical for quiet pins.

    I don’t actually grip the grip. If you’re drawlength is too long then you won’t be able to get the correct grip. And too short you will have to grip the bow to keep it straight, it’s all about correct draw length and then consistency. I mentally think about not touching the shot. So I pull back with my release arm straight to not touch the shot side to side then my grip is pushing straight forward to the target so I don’t bias the shot to the sides, only straight at the target.
