My V3X is all decked out with UV , just received my hinge2 and it’s the first back tension that I shot and don’t have any fears … if anyone out there is in the same boat as me , I would definitely recommend buying the hinge2 . I think I’m gonna preorder a button for the upcoming season , oh yeah , the UV scope also is incredible !!! Thanks for making such awesome archery equipment !!! 💪💪💪
The guy I was talking to today had me trying to shoot it like a hinged. I’ve been shooting for a month total in archery and am pretty good. I have a Missouri state tournament this weekend and am trying to get better before then. This video helped a lot
nice explanation! it probably goes without saying to most but these things are generally very light triggers, point being keep your thumb the heck off it on your draw. there’s an arrow of mine in the rafters at my local indoor range to remind me of my first session with a thumb button
At 77 years young, I am over 1 year of using your info to learn in many areas the how to use a thumb button. I need to work on the form you show. I will purchase a uv button. I tried when you had a promotion during Christmas but you were out. I am a form follows function kind of guy so I will up date when I start. In my case time is critical and fleeting. Thanks Slinger1915
This was one of the best explanations of how to properly use a thumb button, especially the dragging of the thumb piece. Also, UV Button is a great release with a clean trigger that helps the technique
Very interesting, I went from a wrist strap to a thumb button and then went back to a wrist strap because I felt like it was to much of a jerky action trying to push the button with my thumb, Definitely being ex army the finger trigger style feels more like what I’m used to but I’m going to try this technique and see if it improves me shooting and feel with a thumb button. Thanks!
Interesting, I was told specifically not to put it deep and I have forever been fighting to not punch it. You are correct that it is easy to develop some bad habits with these, I am going to try adjusting my button and see if it helps at all. I really like that ultraview, it might be my next release :)
Hey Chris 👋 I just switched to a button release and I was wondering where you like to have your anchor point because of how different it is from a trigger release
Had a local pro shop tune my bow. About 2 out of five groups are high left or right now. Not flyers but they are grouped together. It seems my fletchings are hitting the cable guard now. Mathews v3x 33 with the methews integrate rest didn't have this problem until I got it tuned.
Excited! Just ordered this. Was on the fence with getting the Hinge 2 but got a few hunts coming up and I feel the Hinge has a bigger learning curve than the Button. Still getting the Hinge however when hunting season is “over”. Mahalos Chris 🤙🏽
For me it was a really quick transition! You could always just practice with the handheld and then hunt with the index (what you are comfortable with). That’s what I did last year
I’ve been trying to get use to a button release lately but after 25 plus years of using and old cobra index trigger it’s been difficult to make the change lol
I have shot a index finger release for a while then I had a private bow lesson and that guy said you should try a hinge. So now I shoot a hinge for target practice and for hunting I will always use a index
I won’t be in elk or really deer territory either next year and this is my first year putting in for tags . Of course I didn’t draw anything. Soooooo I’m ready to go hunting with you . When should I come over 😐😆
You should emphasize the importance of a surprise release as opposed to commanding the shot. The button is great because it makes it very easy to use back tension and get a surprise release every time.
I use the pad of my finger on the very edge of the release on a trigger style. Idk why but after the military I just can see myself using a thumb release
I’m assuming you can make it also a four finger grip instead of the three? I’m just curious I’m looking to get one but want to make sure that if I don’t like the three fingers I can swap it to a four finger.
Hey Chris quick question, do you shoot with one or two eyes open? I’ve always shot everything with one eye, what are the advantages of two eyes open over one eye open?
Hello Chris, I was wondering what release style did you start with. I am thinking about purchasing a Button, but worried I will accidentally release while pulling it back.
I started with a finger release but have recently moved to a thumb button. I would recommend the finger release just to get form and the idea of a surprise release down there is a ton going on as a beginner archer. That being said everything should advance so then move onto a thumb and take your time. A good shot trainer or what's called blank bailing is rely important. Just don't get frustrated.
Lucky!!!!! Whoever wins a homemade bow from you is lucky!!! I love custom bows!! I want a bow and arrow again!!! So upset my ex took ALL my fishing gear, my bows and destroyed my car and in NJ it’s so expensive to live I can’t even get a new bow yet ughhh. Thanks for the video.
My issue is I have a bad shoulder. I grew up riding bulls going from rodeo to rodeo up until I was 26. I’ve had shoulder surgery and even reinjured my shoulder riding bulls. I’m now 42 with issues with movement. I own 3 button releases but with the way you hold the release it puts to much strain on my shoulder creating pain. I have to keep going back to the trigger release which sucks. I’m even trying to save up to get the hinge 2. Not sure why with the shoulder problems I have but I have to try. This release looks great but I think I’m still going to try the hinge.
Couple years ago, I bought my Mathews VXR (which was the flagship at the time), whisker biscuit, apex sight and walked out the door pretty much just over $1500. Bow shop also installed my peep, D loop, and the correct mods for my draw length and poundage.
I have a barnett bortex youth hunting bow and i was wondering if you knew a way to install a peep without a press because i have a peep but it isnt installed
So I’m interested in this release but I’m not sure how they are sizing them? I typically wear an clothes-glove so I’m just wondering if I should wait for the large release to come out?
Man, I'm dying to use the UV button. But it's just too much for me right now. Family comes first. Is there a cheaper and similar release I could buy that you'd recommend?
Can you twist your wrist so that your thumb is lower than your fingers or does your hand need to be parallel with the ground? I feel like twisting the d loop cant be good but my thumb button wants to hit my jaw and it makes wrapping thumb difficult.
Great video Chris buddy Carnt wait for mine to arrive ! GUTTED ABOUT THE GIVEAWAY THO US ONLY 😭 maybe u a colby should come shoot some courses over here in the UK ? Just a idea anyhow awesome stuff keep it coming.
Chris how stiff do you set the trigger? Do you set it so it only goes off when you start pushing and pulling I would think you don't want it so light so it goes off prematurely right
I found this release has a critical issue that it cannot be easily hooked to the D-loop, versus to my ultraview back tension release or STAN thumb release.
nice just too steep in price if I didnt just buy a new release a week before you dropped this, but 350 is crazy for a release im sure its awesome. I love my hinge 2 and my tru ball blade pro flex.. maybe next year I will suck it up...
Hey Bee, Can you describe more detail, the push -pull, I switched as well to button, waiting for large UV Button,, I was a pitcher in MILB, so my shoulder is shot , went to thumb release rather the wrist wrap, for some reason it didnt hurt shoulder going to thumb,, But can you describe the push / pull you speak of?

I’d be willing to switch to this release but good god it’s more expensive than my electric bill in the dead of summer!
this is the best release i’ve had. it’s worth the extra money
It's actually getting ridiculous nowadays
I switched from a index to the spot hogg whipper snapper thumb release. It was $119. Still pricey but not UV cost.
@@braplife8227 What's getting ridiculous?
@@capricornmagic63 the price of archery accessories and especially UV.
I haven’t found any good videos of how to properly connect the thumb release to the release aid loop
Only cause most people don’t use them
Love the video! Been trying to find someone who explained the best way to shoot a thumb.
oooo. A bow build ive always wanted to do a bow build with Chris Bee🐝

It's a Chris Bee DAY!
Love your videos. Can you explain what you mean by "push and pull". I'm fairly new to the scene and any help would be awesome. 🤘😀🤘
I've just gotten in to compound archery and I'm loving your channel. Gonna be spending a bit of time going through your videos I think!
Thanks man just started looking for a new release to use
Friend.. you maked a PERFECT description…🤙🏻👊🏻🏹💪🏻
What a great explanation exactly what I need to know since I have that UV release and I will be using it today for first time.
My first thumb button had that same style spiral barrel and I loved it
I shoot my button like a hinge release my thumb on the barrel and then rotate into my thumb while pulling through the shot it’s helped me tremendously
Interesting, I was told specifically not to put it deep and I have forever been fighting to not punch it. You are correct that it is easy to develop some bad habits with these, I am going to try adjusting my button and see if it helps at all. I really like that ultraview, it might be my next release :)
My wife ordered a UV button for my BDay..... I couldn't be anymore excited to test it out.
Bow Rack. Best shop out there.
The giveaway is hype🤙🏽, thanks for the video Chris.👊🏽🐝
Hi, nice introduction...
The 'Ultraview UV Button' is ambidextrous (I am left hand shooter).
Thank you!
I can’t wait to try the hinge and the button both are super cool looking releases
How do you know what size to get?
Thank you, nice technique, I will try it.!!!
So exited for this give away ive wanted u to do this for such a long time
Awesome! Amazing opportunity to whoever wins. Was about to order a release on Lancaster. Glad I waited and ordered it from you instead.
Great video!!! Ordered the button a few days ago and I can’t wait for it to get here and start shooting with it
A video I’ve been waiting for so long. Been trying to decide if I want to ever get one of these they’re just so expensive !

Your form looks incredible, do you have any tips on how to achieve that?
Thank you for sharing your experience.🙏
I'm trying to find a thumb release for smaller hands?
yea love the button release i want to get one
I'm curious about these releases (shoot a wrist strap now) but I'm hesitant to change so close to bow season
For me it was a really quick transition! You could always just practice with the handheld and then hunt with the index (what you are comfortable with). That’s what I did last year

Can you talk a little about your Anchor Point when shooting a button, hinge or wrist release?
Ty Chris! Great video! 👍
Dang it just seen this video to late to enter two weeks late love the vids man keep up good work
I won’t be in elk or really deer territory either next year and this is my first year putting in for tags . Of course I didn’t draw anything. Soooooo I’m ready to go hunting with you . When should I come over 😐😆
Thanks for all your advice I learned a lot from your channel
You should emphasize the importance of a surprise release as opposed to commanding the shot. The button is great because it makes it very easy to use back tension and get a surprise release every time.
I use the pad of my finger on the very edge of the release on a trigger style. Idk why but after the military I just can see myself using a thumb release
Thanks for survey, question about your bow poundage?
How did the Deadmeat practic head fly for you? I use the Megameat for whitetail and the practic head flies same as field point for me.
Think you could do a video of lower end more budget friendly releases?
Chris you should do a video on your hunting everyday carry like your set up to how you carry your binos and ranger finder and all that
I’m assuming you can make it also a four finger grip instead of the three? I’m just curious I’m looking to get one but want to make sure that if I don’t like the three fingers I can swap it to a four finger.
Just received my UV shipment today, what about a ten spot for early order.
what’s bud? Any idea when you will have more in stock?
Great video. I’d like to see your entire shot process instead of camera cutting back in as shot goes off.
Love the videos Chris bee! Keep up the great work man!
Hey Chris quick question, do you shoot with one or two eyes open? I’ve always shot everything with one eye, what are the advantages of two eyes open over one eye open?
just start doing it, you’ll thank yourself when your eyes adjust to do it. Much easier to float the pin and see target
It looks like your shooting 3” X Vanes in a four fletch, curious what your thoughts are on 4 fletch Heat vanes vs X vanes.
Could you do a review type vid on a redline rl1
I watch all your videos you legends
What are those field tips you’re using. Are they the G5 montec points?
Hey Chris wondering when your going to make a UV scope cover?
Hello Chris, I was wondering what release style did you start with. I am thinking about purchasing a Button, but worried I will accidentally release while pulling it back.

Any time frame on when the large will be available? I will definitely be buying one!

When will a large version be available? Or will there bee?

Hey man first off enjoy the videos.. looking to get back into bow hunting could you recommend a good bow to get that I could get setup under 1500 ?
Couple years ago, I bought my Mathews VXR (which was the flagship at the time), whisker biscuit, apex sight and walked out the door pretty much just over $1500. Bow shop also installed my peep, D loop, and the correct mods for my draw length and poundage.
I have a barnett bortex youth hunting bow and i was wondering if you knew a way to install a peep without a press because i have a peep but it isnt installed
Dang I like those field points what are those?
I’ve been holding out on buying your merch, but now I have to
Chris, what harness do you use for your bingo/range finder??
So I’m interested in this release but I’m not sure how they are sizing them?
I typically wear an clothes-glove so I’m just wondering if I should wait for the large release to come out?
How well do these work with heavy winter gloves?
What kind of field tips are those?
What kind of a peep sight do you have on your string there?
Do you shoot the large thumb?
Man, I'm dying to use the UV button. But it's just too much for me right now. Family comes first. Is there a cheaper and similar release I could buy that you'd recommend?
Any plans for larger button than the medium?
Hello Chris. What kind of arrowhead are you using? (7:11) Greetings from Hungary!
Two years late but it looks like the Practice tip for the G5 Deadmeat broadhead
Can you twist your wrist so that your thumb is lower than your fingers or does your hand need to be parallel with the ground? I feel like twisting the d loop cant be good but my thumb button wants to hit my jaw and it makes wrapping thumb difficult.
What is your chest rig setup?
Hey Chris I have the hinge 2 in a large. Do you know when they'll be offering the button in a large?
Great video Chris buddy Carnt wait for mine to arrive ! GUTTED ABOUT THE GIVEAWAY THO US ONLY 😭 maybe u a colby should come shoot some courses over here in the UK ? Just a idea anyhow awesome stuff keep it coming.
Chris how stiff do you set the trigger? Do you set it so it only goes off when you start pushing and pulling I would think you don't want it so light so it goes off prematurely right
Ok Chris, Kolby keeps sending emails about this button . I need you to send me the UV Button so I can see if I like it. Lol
Wow Sweet
What are you pushing and what are you pulling??
I found this release has a critical issue that it cannot be easily hooked to the D-loop, versus to my ultraview back tension release or STAN thumb release.
Kentucky here Chris, come up yonder and I'll put you on a Monster
Tips how to shoot NASP better?
nice just too steep in price if I didnt just buy a new release a week before you dropped this, but 350 is crazy for a release im sure its awesome. I love my hinge 2 and my tru ball blade pro flex.. maybe next year I will suck it up...
What kind of feild points were you shooting in this video?
Hey Bee,
Can you describe more detail, the push -pull, I switched as well to button, waiting for large UV Button,, I was a pitcher in MILB, so my shoulder is shot , went to thumb release rather the wrist wrap, for some reason it didnt hurt shoulder going to thumb,, But can you describe the push / pull you speak of?
Push with the hand holding the bow while pulling with the release hand. Usually with back muscles help to
