    Thanks for the upload! After a year of searching for the perfect GT500 I finally purchased one last month, and thanks to your videos that I’ve pretty much studied I know exactly what exhaust I want to go with as well. Keep up the great videos brother!

      Nice, and I'm currently tuned by Lund racing, I usually recommend Lund or BJ McCarty from Venomous Tuning.

      @@GT500guy Thank you bro yes you are 100% right ! What is the best forum t for 13 /14 Shelbys? I'm a previous BMW E46 M3 owner and now I want to go with American muscle . I was looking the prices for 996 Turbos but they're so high now witch is ridiculous. So I decided to go with a Shelby .. !

    Just curious why do you say these mods can apply mostly to 13-14 or 11-12 but 07-10 was different? 07-14 gt500s are very similar. The earlier ones had an iron block and they didn't come stock with knock sensors or wideband 02 but the first isn't needed with good fuel and the ladder can be added for couple hundred bucks. I mean the blowers and the pulleys and the cooling stuff even trans stuff like clutches and shifters are all interchangeable 07-14. Injectors, plugs, headers everything is pretty much the same between em. I didn't hear anything you mentioned in the video that doesn't apply to 07-10 gt500s also lol. The pump boosters are different 11-12 from 07-10 and 13-14 each of those have their own type of pump boosters just get the one(s) that apply to your particular year otherwise all this stuff applies to 07-14.
    It does cost a ton to build aluminum 5.8s it's quite a bit less to build an iron 5.4. Little heavier but far cheaper and about as stout.
    Aa far as the 3.0 Whipple being better than the 2650 I don't agree. It may compare more with a regular gen 3 but a 3r imo is Def a better blower pound for pound. All the 3.0 setups I've seen seem to make less power on average than 2650 setups unless you're spinning it to hell and back 25+ psi on e85 then you MIGHT see a slight advantage in peak power with the 3 liter but even then it's a toss up as the tvs has much better torque and a better overall power curve. The Whipple and kb are softer on the hit by design not to mention the size difference. It isn't only the size difference that makes the tvs hit harder and create better torque it's the twist on the rotors and the design of them that makes it hit strong on the punch then you add in its better sized for the engine that also helps it he less laggy. I seen a video where a 3 liter 5.4 made like 738 wheel and 630-640 torque at 17-18 psi this car had a mono throttle body, headers and even cams and it was also on 93 and boostane. I've seen similar setups make more power on similar 2650 setups around the same boost. I've seen a few of the 3 liter setups and it just seems the 2650 makes more power on average on most basic street setups. If it's an all out race car on 25+ psi and e85 the Whipple might make more but again it still isn't clear cut imo as the 2650 can make well over 1000 to the tires on built motor setups. The modern tvs is extremely efficient this whole roots blowers are less efficient is an outdated way of thinking. Yea maybe older pre tvs style Eaton like the m112 or m122 but these modern tvs especially the ones from vmp are very efficient and this is no longer the case. Just a couple points I wanted to make about the video. Btw that color combo is pretty sexy it would look sick with some sort of dark gunmetal aftermarket wheels on it.

      I think when I said this applies to mostly 13/14 GT500s I didn't necessarily mean the mods only apply to the 13/14s, but anything I post on my channel is basically ment for 13/14 GT500 owners, I know all the 07 to 14 GT500s are essentially the same, but I try to focus on just the 13/14s. As time has gone on, I wish I could edit these videos as I have missed some important things, and I was wrong about a few things I have said in other videos. I try to just be helpful and share what knowledge I have.
      As for the Gen3 and Gen3R vs a Gen5 3.0 whipple. I do agree that the TVS setup is better for pump gas or even on E85 on a stock engine setup. But I have seen a couple 13/14s with the Gen5 3.0 whipples on E85 make some killer power on the stock 5.8.
      I've ran a 3.6KB on a stock 5.8 and its a nasty supercharger, but it does lag down low.
      I have a built engine now, so I'll be eventually be selling my Gen3 TVS since it's just about maxed out and it's not making the power I want. I'm going to be switching to 3.4 or a 4.0L whipple and run around 20 to 25psi. Or if I find a good deal on a 3.0 whipple, I may do one of those.
      Always good hearing from you. Do you have an Instagram account?

    Is your fuel system stock just 20 volt boosta pump no return fuel system

    • @GT500guy
      @GT500guy  3 роки тому

      I have ID1300 injectors, fore fuel rails with bigger cross over lines, canton high flow fuel filter and the KB 20 volt BAP. I've done basically everything you can to a stock GT500 13/14 fuel system to make it work correctly for E85. I will eventually need a return style fuel system. But that will come later.
