Take that intake snorkel off along with the new carb. Heat some water on the stove and dip the carb end into the water. It will make it pliable enough to get over the carb. Stick it on there and let it cool. You'll now have a usable snorkel.
So I took advice from a guy in the comments. Put the old rubber in boiling water and was able to finagle it on. Running the stock air system again and it runs mint. Definitely better with the bigger carb
@@newenglandlife978 i have 2 diffrent 100s that are big bored to 120cc. one is a 99 xr100 with a T-bolt usa 120big bore. my other one is a fully built 07 crf100 with a bbr 120 big bore on it. they both have crazy tourqe and pull the front wheel in 3rd with my 240lb self riding them.
You don’t HAVE to change anything else besides the jetting. Anything else would be nice for more performance but not required. So far my sons 95 big bore on his xr80 is great! Thinking about getting the big bore kit for my daughter’s crf100
I just finished rebuilding my XR100 with a 120 kit and FMF exhaust and it's a completely different animal from the '80..... Both were purchased as project basket cases..

Problem is I had to use an xr100 carb. Not sure if it’s bigger. I wil definitely try that trick or o can!! Thanks!
What did you end up doing with the air filter?

Hello, what is the jetting on this carb, thanks
I ended up just putting a stock crf100 carb on it. Whatever an 04 crf100 stock jetting is
Stock jetting on that carb should be 98 on the main and 38 on the pilot...
How is it holding up? I’ve been thinking about getting one for mine.
Engine is still strong. It just takes a little tuning to get it just right. This spring I think I’ll get the while complete kit for a crf100 I have

So I want to buy the big bore kit but I was curious if anything else had to be changed like cam, valves or valve springs. Thank you
