Todd did play the record company game, just not as an artist, that's why his music remains true. He has brought so many others great music to life as a producer, - Meatloaf, XTC, Psych Furs, The Tubes, NY Dolls, Patti Smith etc etc...
      Thanks Todd, you showed 'em.
BTW, Utopia is simply one of the best live rock acts ever, so many great memories for me .

I saw them perform this at The Schaefer Festival on the pier in NYC back in the mid 80's. It started to mist shortly before they kicked this tune. And when Todd played the opening guitar riff, a wind kicked up and it started to come down a little harder. In the night, the stage lighting made it feel like a spiritual epiphany. Needless to say, they just killed it. The entire show. Todd was in great voice and the band was on point. A night to remember

We chatted about the Cubs stellar season while we watched the White Sox on the television over the bar. Simply an average Joe conversation. At first, I don't think he understood that I knew exactly who he was because I am a fan... until I dropped "So your tour ended with Ringo Starr but are you still sticking with Kasim Sulton?" I think he was disappointed that it couldn't simply be two guys talking baseball at a bar.
