I really wana see a meta, sweaty, try hard list and game between you guys at the studio. I know you typically go for themes, but I'd love to see you guys give it your all, lol.
I'd rather take the flavor. Powergaming is really boring. If you don't add any spice or flavor but just make it a math equation you have lost the plot in why you play games in the first place.
35:00 shouldn’t the boar boyz be able to direct attacks wherever they want since technically it isn’t dead guys from the front rank attacking but guys in the back making supporting attacks with cav spears (not stepping up)
wouldnt the monster units still take the wounds as a unit even if it's allocated to the handlers? it looks like you have allocated it to the beast handlers and waived the wound from the monster. but there are not separate wounds for them. the wound is allocated to the unit as a whole and then checks whether the handlers take the wound which if they do, reduces the number if attacks from them as well as the wound. I do wish the way you played it is correct though. also I loved your dark elves monster list, and I have been waiting for someone to play a list like that. how about a high elves lions of chrace themed list?
I want that to be true! they don't have extra separate wounds on their profile is all. it looks like they are taken as a unit and the unit takes a wound, they roll to allocate, then if handler takes hit then the unit deteriorates that way or the monster takes a wound. handlers appear as an unnecessary addition and complexity
just a heads up you can only use fated dispel on ruby ring as bound spell. thanks for thew old world content. I liked the calmer style of the new co host and Luka behind the camera on time out
Pg 110. Wizardry dispel. States it must be used in the range of the wizard casting the spell. Fated dispels, used when wizardry dispel is not possible due to range or when you prefer to use in stead. Ravening Hordes FaQ. Beastmenn Brayherds: Bounds spells are cast by the item it's bound to, not the bearer. This prevents things like other magic items benefitting bound items but it by raw prevents you from dispel as the dispel rules only targets the bearer/wizard. Honestly it's a silly thing but a number of MAJOR GT sized tournaments have ruled in favor of this. I believe one where dwarves one due to anvil of doom
"You may attempt to dispel a Bound spell as usual. Magic items that dispel or destroy spells work as normal against Bound spells. When dispelling a Bound spell, there is no risk of being outclassed in the art." P109 I like the train of thought but when something is written so clearly, it's kinda pointless to debate it

the model is an old gw metal model

The Handler only take the 5+ in combat!
Monster handlers rule only works in combat

The handler are "extra wounds" so the hydra might have 5-7 wounds, depending on if the handlers die before or after the hydra.

I’ll have a chat with the TO now. Who is pretty excellent, he explained it very well at the time. You seem adamant so I’ll get the specifics for you.
He clearly isn't excellent with a ruling like that. There are references to wizards dispelling bound spells in the rules so kindly accept the L.

I had a blast playing with Steve.
Huh?
Thats not true my dude.
Have a read TO ruling at major TX GT
@@carminebattista3249 We wont follow a ruling from some random TO. We will play it as its ruled at GW's tournaments
If both sides always take the ruby ring of ruin, just play 1970 points and drop it.
