Wow...that is one of the best battle reports you have ever done! The battle is so amazing, and its nice so see Dave and Nick having so much fun together!
The editing, energy and entertainment factors of this channel were so self evident from even their earliest works. GW would do well to be much more hands off and a lot more all hands on deck when it comes to content creators of all stripes that elevate their game so much.
This is legit the best batrep ever. Dave explaining how many attacks khorn berserkers get with beaming pride of a father telling the story of his kids getting their first little league home run is a little joy we dont deserve

I love that you guys rolled for the first couple of huge attacks too lol, even if they'd be obviously removed seeing the giant rolls once or twice really helps demonstrate the weight of the attacks especially as someone who's new to the game. I think you struck the perfect balance of what to show and what to cut in this one.
This has been an absolute joy to watch, thank you for a high enjoyable evening. I feel like the editing of the dice rolls has been stellar this game. It was faster than usual, but when it "counts" there was still enough time for the build up and drama. At the same time I never felt like you lost any clarity to the increased speed (relevant information is always quite clearly either stated by the players or there is a nifty little box showing a summary), very well done to the editor(s)! Aaaah... the Dawn of War Aspiring Champion quote was very nostalgic
i noticed the dice rolling edit, too. Best one so far. Edit was phenomenal. And the players were great as theyre having fun, competitive but fun is bigger.

Btw Orks rule WAAAGH.
@@heykeiffers6684 Rule of cool. Always go rule of cool for the first army you get. After all, you have to assemble them, paint them, and move them around the table. Find out about the factions - Bricky has a good couple of overview videos, there's lots of "intro to Warhammer 40k" vids to help you see the taste of a faction, and go from there. Space Marines are a good starting point for a new player to use in gameplay becaude, for the most part, their rules are simple. But, at the same time, they aren't always the best visual aestheic. Maybe you prefer Tau or GSC, like Nick. Or perhaps the allure of Chaos whispers to you. My first army was Admech, for the Omnissiah! Pick an army you love and go with it. If you and your brother don't super care, grab one of the Starter boxes; you get a decent Space Marine and Necron starter force to build from.
Honestly one of the most fun and entertaining matches I’ve ever watched period. The editing was phenomenal, JTs announcing was top, and both the gentleman playing were a riot. Killed it with this one Play On!!!
I always appreciate the voice over commentary explaining different lines of attack they could/should’ve taken. That’s the best way to understand and learn! Great game!

Its important that the "fight twice" be done separate. As a world eaters player this means that in between fights you can be counter offensived, and also unfortunately the legion trait doesnt apply to the second fight.
This was the only reason I've be looking in the comments I started world eaters a while back and still am uncertain how the blood for the blood god function works
The legion trait states: If a unit makes a successful charge, each model can make an extra attack in the subsequent fight phase and they are fighting in the “subsequent fight phase” when they fight again so I think the legion trait applies to the second attack
They are so amazingly excited about the game, it actually tears me up. I only face Space Marines all day WHEN I play and that honestly is becoming extremly boring. But seeing this... I just love how happy they are and how much fun they have.
Now I'm almost feeling guilty for choosing Imperial Fists as my first army, but hopefully I'll get to start collecting Eldar or Guard in the future once I finish this army and get enough for another

This is the hardest episode to root for just one side! Both Nick and Dave are too entertaining, so I'm just rooting for a disturbingly close and clinching battle!
I love the storytelling on the board itself, it's what looks like an abandonned war-torn imperial factory, the buildings surrounded by scorge marks or artilary fire, and the fire-lit windows, the tipped-over train with the broken rails, just top notch attention to details in what most people view only as a playfield. This plus the Deadly Print Studio effects in the minis, is just goibg extra, I love watching every new video because they are an experience beyond just a simple battle report. Thank you for the hard work
I can hardly watch any battle report in full, but this one made me grin from ear to ear and kept my attention. The way both Nick and Dave bounce off each other's personalities, match each other's energy and help each other have fun (over just picking optimal choices) makes this one a complete and utter gem to watch, especially combined with the top quality editing and the excellent terrain, model paintjobs and the faction choices. Thank you for uploading this, I've had a really bad time recently and this is one of the few things that has actually made me really happy.

Dave did a phenomenal job matching Nick's enthusiasm and competitiveness, im never that excited about seeing chaos 40k unless maybe the new codex in future (i dont play chaos), but Dave made them look as Vicious as i would expect them to be! and calculating as he is this battle had to be completely studied and in sall its editing and special effects, it is a masterpiece of its kind!
I like how sneaky Genestealer cults can be and that Chaos army looked savage. I really like how different the chaos armies are that have been featured on this show so far :P
You guys are doing such a great job with production. 10/10 on the editors notes keeping the flow without missing cp usage, etc. Excited for a great season!
In my opinion, I would prefer seeing more close ups during battle between the units. Maybe it's because I'm watching on my smartphone, but the majority of the battle is viewed top down and I ended up mostly continuing the watch because of these 2 charismatic players. The editing like always is topnotch, but most of the time it was unclear to me what was really going on in terms of how the models were positioned and what unit is fighting what. In short, I'd really like more closeups of models doing battle both for the sake of clarity and perhaps even a bit of emersion.
@@PlayOnTabletop maybe get a single gopro9 (i would argue their current model quality is very acceptable), and set it to lineair. Position the camera on the side of the board or have the player who's turn it isn't or isn't roling dice film the action up close. At least, that's what I'd probably do.
Nick only playing bottom-tier armies makes me remember playing dark eldar waaaay back in 4th edition. They were considered trash, played them for 6 years and LOVED them. Good times. Thanks for the trip down memory lane guys!!

Nick only playing bottom-tier armies makes me remember playing dark eldar waaaay back in 4th edition. They were considered trash, played them for 6 years and LOVED them. Good times. Thanks for the trip down memory lane guys!!
This is EASILY the best video iv seen on this channel! I have no minis, a small amount of knowledge, generally no idea what each unit is when they say it, and it was still awesome.
