Now this build i like, suits my style of play. Been wanting to use Cannons for ages, but never really gave them a good enough, long enough go on any of my Ships. These beast look awesome Kaethena. @@Kaethena Knowing the right angels to fight with I have no problem with making that class 3 do its job. In respect to the Gr 4 Engineering on some things, why? I know going to aGr 5 on some things can be a disadvantage. I could ask you on Rusty’s discord but most of them are stupid
@@rickmidkiff9990 The Shield Cell Banks only go up to grade 4, and you have to go to Colonia to get that blueprint. If the engineer there went up to grade 5, causing me to have to go back... let's just say the outcome wouldn't be pretty. You can get away with doing them to grade 3 from Lori Jameson, the difference isn't that huge. But if you have the G4 blueprint pinned, might as well use it. I also normally only go up to grade 4 Lightweight on Life Support, too, because the extra grade isn't worth the materials unless it's a pure explorer ship. But I had that module in storage so I used it.
Nice build! I tried the huge 2 cannons, sometimes it's just very hard to hit, especially on smaller ships. Also the ammo ist not that much, but the shield and hull damage is just wonderful. Please do more Corvette builds!
I find Cannons far easier to hit wth than Plasma Accelerators, to be honest. Which are really the only two things you should put in the class 4 slots. Anything else is wasting them. :) Once I get back into the game, I will do. :)
@@Kaethena yeah, I also have two gimbaled long-range +thermal vent beams, that are melting shields, only the Hull is a bit of a problem then. I just can't hit ships that are smaller than a chieftain (Vulture, Viper, cobra, eagle, etc. (talking now about the fixed cannons FYI)). I will may try gimbaled ones even if the damage is worse. And do you have any other builds? Do you stopped playing? :(
@@ejm285 Only until I get Odyssey. Which won't be for a while. The thing with smaller ships is: That's what you have an SLF for. Big battleships are just that. They take out other big battleships. With very powerful weapons. SLFs are your mobile gun platform, as well as the 5 other smaller hardpoints. The two big Howitzers on the back of the ship are for taking apart other comparable sized ships in a few hits. Which they do extremely well. Although I have one shotted an Eagle with them before, with a very lucky strike, lol. You just have to learn patience, and to not fire them at everything you can see. Which is an all too common thing within Elite. And good on some builds. Think of the cannons as your secret weapon. When you have someone lined up, blow a couple of car sized holes in them! :D

While the whole Alpha stuff (no pun intended) and initial release happens, though, I'm keeping a low profile and playing other things. When I come back to it, it will be fresh and with renewed enthusiasm. :)
