Thank you for this video! My gecko freaked out fell out of my hands when i was carrying him back over to his tank and ran all over the place, when i got him back in his tank his tail was still on and it stopped swaying but an hour later i saw he had dropped it. I panicked and found this video! I feel like such a bad owner and i know i shouldn’t be upset about his appearance but his tail was so pretty and now i hope it doesn’t look to weird when it grows back. None the less thank you!

My leopord gecko just lost its tail, but it was in his moist hide and there where no signs of anything disturbing him or of something that pulled it, iam very confused and concerned

I checked this afternoon and saw my tail less leopard gecko and the tail wedged in a rock I was so scared but went back to feeding mealworms daily with crickets
I walked into my reptile room last night for lights out and found Franklin with a dropped tail. I’ve had him a week and it scared me. Idk why he did it because he seemed okay and it’s not like there was a predator nearby. Idk what I did wrong
