I created Ripley's Reptiles to share my love of snakes and lizards as well as to help new reptile owners understand their new pets and hopefully lower their anxiety regarding proper care. I also love to make people laugh so many of my videos include some comedy. I really appreciate you checking us out!

I LOVE that this channel is a family affair! ❤🐍
I started covering my Leopard Geckos cage on 3 sides for part of the day and she was immediately less stressed out. She comes out of her hut more and even basks under her light. I didn't realize the exposure was causing her so much stress.
A snake and dog aren't the same
thank god for you man i felt my hearbeat drop no ER tonight
Can you remove them from their hide in order to check 1) they are ok and 2) to give them their dinner?
I just bought my new Stimson’s python home and a new fear suddenly emerged 😣. I used gloves and a snake hook to transfer her into her enclosure
he gonna be so nice when hes older he even looks like hes gonna skip the "teenagers phase"
Hello if you see this I just got me a ball Python he is 4 months old I made his house out of wood will the heat mat burn the wood 🪵
my case worker asked me if i would entertain the idea of one day getting a therpy companion animal for my anxiety and depression and i eediatly thought what about a black and white Tegu? ...she thought i was kidding but if i could i would.
I don't use a substrate just paper towels in my cage, so I add some extra water bowls esp in winter time for the humidity.
My bp is a complete sweetheart.
Thank you so much for making this! Very clear, good vocabulary and to the point! Got a like from me and I will be watching more of your content! Cheers!
Love the voice over 😂
Loved the video!
Thanks! I´m considering getting black one for my leos as well, but worried it will be too dark. I will make a bioactive tank with lots of plants and led lights for my leos. Any thoughts on this? Also, I read it should be put on the inside otherwise they can stil see their reflection.
Thanks dude I’m a big fan
Bowie is my pythons name also..
Have you stopped making videos?
The video advice is good, but the extra hognose & dragon commentary is annoying & makes it hard to enjoy the video
Awwwe

My leopord gecko just lost its tail, but it was in his moist hide and there where no signs of anything disturbing him or of something that pulled it, iam very confused and concerned
You put your heat pad in the actual enclosure on the hot side? Why didn't you just drill holes through it and put the pad on the bottom?
This maybe a silly question, but how does the heating element not burn them?
How do you use underbelly heat in a pvc enclosure?
Loved the video!
Thanks man! i get sad when my lil gecko becomes more alert when im forced to venture near its tank, better cover up sum walls
The help was so cute I had to watch all the way through lol
#Behemothreptiles You crack me up man pretty cool stuff you say. Thanks
Thank you I just got my first one he’s a bit nervous of me and I wanted to know what to do just incase
My main concern is do radiant heat panels get hot to the touch? If my snake stretches up to the top of his enclosure and touched the heat panel, is it going to burn him?
No they dont. They get warm but not hot. It’s infrared heat
This just made my night. I was sitting here panicing, thank you
How much for the pro product panel?
Love love love ty ty I enjoyed this! Bye my friend:)
Oh my goodness, I can't tell you how encouraging it is to find your video, and actually know that I'm not alone! Thanks for sharing your 💚

Hitchhikers Guide reference? Instantly subbed
I hit the jackpot with Kermit my ornate male juvenile (we think). He was unfortunately wild caught and when I saw his miserable set up & condition in the pet store (after searching for months through breeders to no avail because it was Covid), I crumbled and had to buy/rescue him from a too small enclosure, improper diet, not enough UVB and a very large very aggressive female roommate who terrorized and attacked him. Having survived this Kermit was deeply appreciative of everything. He was instantly thrilled with me as I was not a threat to him compared to his roommate. It took him quite a while to eat properly and he’s still a fusspot but he’s a gourmet 🤷♀️. He is deeply appreciative of his multi level enclosure , multi hide with all of the space and so many walls & perches to climb on because in the pet store all he would do was burrow all day for fear of being bitten. He loves cheek rubs and cuddles and eats treats out of my hand. He tolerates children holding him and patting him. He is a bit of an escape artist and any time I open the cage he will generally run up and try to jump onto my hand for pats or alternately if someone does not close it properly he will go out on an adventure. I did learn the hard way not to take him outside. It was very hot and very sunny and he was fine when he was resting on my warm leg but as soon as I put him on the grass thinking he would be so appreciative (being wild caught to experience the outdoors again) he panicked in sheer horror and ran like greased lightning back to the house where I found him cowering by the doorstep. Needless to say he was extremely happy to be put back in his enclosure. Great video ❤️ Keep them coming!
Great video. Realistic and true. No fluff, just real life experience. That is why I came back to like it and subscribe. You deserve the support. Great job.
From my experience keeping tarantulas if you have a big wide water bowl on the side of the heating panel it will give you 50-60% humidity just from evaporation. I'd put water on both sides.
Underrated video 💜
funny video Rip
I've had my uromastyx since he was a baby and he is now 22 years old. He hated being held and pooped every time I picked him up. Now I just hang out next to his cage and I keep a consistent routine. He doesn't poop in his tank anymore, he poops into the toilet while I hold him over it! He loves belly rubs, chin rubs and with time has grown to tolerate me. A leash is a must when you have them out and aren't paying 100% attention, thet are the best escape artists in the world and also he has never learned his lesson about walking off of counters, my shoulder etc. I love him and he tolerates me. Great pets, not aggressive biters but will give a tail whip here and there!
Dang your uro is older than me lmaooo
This was so helpful thanks
My uro is fine until I open the glass door
My Geyri tries to book it all the time too
Despite good husbandry some people have significant others that don't like to be held☺
do you have a limburg male snow rosy for sale?
hehe ..spikey puppy!
Logan is so brave!
