I’ve been screenshotting the list of words you’d post in your description or I’ve been writing them on my notes on my phone! I have an album on my phone named ASL and I’ll quiz myself and start making sentences with them!

I had been thinking of starting a notebook. Thank you for the encouragement and advice how to get started. I'm planning to go back and review some of the videos I've been binging and get some creative notes on paper.
So far I've got: connection, relationship, unity, match, harmony, and go.
Great video and tips, thank you! One thing that helps me remember is trying to teach what little I know to someone else. Right after your videos, I then show what I learned to my wife. (Who doesn't know ASL at all.) This is good practice and if I'm wrong nobody knows, so I'm not nervous about using the signs. If my wife isn't around, it even helps me remember if I show the signs to my dog. (Injg) Who is very tolerant of any mistakes I may make.😊

It was a wonderful talk. Math was my favorite subject. But I forgot the quadratic equation. I'm going to put in practice your suggestions.

I equate learning ASL to my Mandarin studies. Mandarin hanzi are learned (by most people) through mnemonics as well. A picture to remember the meaning of the character.

OH MY WORD THE QUADRATIC EQUATION SONG!!!!!! i learned this last year in 8th grade Algebra XD I'm a freshman in highschool now but even my little brother memorized the song because i sang it while doing my homework XD

would it be less or more helpful if the asl notebook was a powerpoint? and you can describe or draw the sign but also have a link to a short video just in case you get really stumped?
Whatever works best for you, no harm in trying to experiment a bit and find something that works for you
If you don’t have people to practice with how do you suggest getting more fluent? I can sign fairly well…but picking up when others sign, my brain doesn’t work as well 😂
