Never cease to amaze me how genuine you are in this what you do and how much knowledge can you pack and condense in such a short video. Super informative, thank you!
To be honest when I play ps5 games like my ps5 cuts off by itself with no warning like when I play Fortnite nba 2k25 ncaa football 25 madden NFL 22 like it over heats with no warning during the middle of gameplay do you know what causes that and is there a fix for that ?
Is there some communication between the power supply and the mainboard? If not... maybe people can just replace the power supply with a general purpose 12V PS.. basically leave the PS out of the PS5 and just connect the 12V. Would that work in theory?
Very interesting videos. Thank you for the content. I have only found your channel and I find your videos to be well produced and informative. You really are what I'd describe as a subject matter expert. Keep up the hard work.
DAMBLED INTO THIS VIDEO i noticed there are several locations on ps5 board that can cause BLOD not just the places u pointed out on the board...pls i plead u would make an updated version of this video and add more problems the location and trouble shooting method and how to solve them thank you
Got a ps5 here no power, no beep at all by pressing power button in the f7002 area no 3.3v voltage, 5v are present, fuse is intact Tried to inject 3.3v voltage, but the ps5 is still without life, have you experience in injecting the 3,3v iwth external power supply, does the conole power on, when TLV62090 is defective ???
Unfortunately it won't power on when injecting specific voltage rails unless that line is just open line (like a blown resistor or fuse), normally if it's missing it's because something is short so it'll just pull down to ground. Realistically you need to find out why the line is missing rather than trying to force it to turn on
So my ps5 freezes and it goes to a gray screen then after while it will show the ui again but i can't do anything so I have to reset my console by unplugging or holding power button down on console it's a digital ps5. ANY IDEAS? P.s it doesn't happen all time but it happens alot more then it should its not overheated cause it can happen a few minutes after I turn it on
Thanks for good content! My PS5 turns off by itself after 5-10 mins of running. More frequently when the game is running, but it can fail even from the dashboard. Sometimes it happens even from the safe mode. Replacing the PSU didn't help. Visual check of the board doesn't give any clues. I suspect bad contacts on RAM/SSD. Have you seen such problems earlier? Can you give some advice? Reflow RAM/SSD chipsets?
Just fixed a new two month old ps5 for someone that had overheating issues. Thought it was going to be the fan but turns out the APU didn't have near enough liquid metal on it. It was extremely dry. This was the first I have even heard of this issue on these. Replaced it and had no issues afterwards.
@@TheCod3r unfortunately no particular error messages. On very rare cases the game stops with an error, but the dashboard keeps working. In most of the cases console just suddenly turns off and the next boot up it recovers the FS. Sometimes boot up process also hangs (hangs on the blue or white light). Therefore I have to plug off the console and wait 15-30 mins.
I had one from a friend behaving like this and was due to overheating. It was quite dust but don't think that was the culprit but adding a tad more liquid metal, spreading it properly and making sure the clamp and subsequent screws were tightened enough solved the job and it's been several months now.
A UA-camr who was building his own steam engine, he lacked a special machine for a particular machining process so he sent the part he had made himself to the US, the work was done and when it came back he was billed £400 by Customs and he fought it but lost even though he made the part many years before. Also this blanket VAT applied abroad is really annoying, I bought a ten pound watch off of Aliexpress and by the time I paid it was £20 and I have challenged that as it is under the £15 threshold which should be applied to the item cost not the overall cost including shipping.
I’m not sure why but I’ve managed to get cannabis sent from Amsterdam to me with no trouble or cost from customs. I’ve also bought big grow lights direct from Chinese factories and only been charged like £15 by customs. Bought fake trainers and other clothing items and not been charged for those either.
Great video Master, I have here ps5 digital completely dead no beep no light ,all voltages present but the 1.8 V under the Southbridge not detected if you press Power button ,after replacing Southbridge from donor board same story ...another bad Southbridge or wifi module can cause no power? Thx .
My PS5 ended up having a PSU issue (the power button does nothing - no beeps no lights), so I bought a replacement PSU and verified that the PSU was good, but the PS5 still shows no signs of life. I’m assuming it is something on the motherboard now…any suggestions?
It could very well have taken out something like the southbridge or the HDMI Encoder. These are notorious for that if you've had recent thunder storms or a power surge of some sort
@@TheCod3r Is it possible to get replacement parts for these chips without a donor board? I wanted fix it myself, but I’m a novice still when it comes to soldering and I don’t have access to other broken systems for replacement parts.
