I am really interested in more Old World content. It's a bit of a struggle to find anyone that puts out decent Old World content, I am interested in seeing how the later stages of the game play out but most other content creators are still very much at the learning stage. Therefore I am really looking forward what you'll fet up to!
Hey Tato, Wanted to let you know that I never thought I'd enjoy you playing any games as much as Civ 6 but between Old World and Humankind, I'm loving the variety!
Yeah, it look really good. Unfortunately its an exclusive (Epic in this case), and by priciple, I do not buy exclusive titles. Voting with my wallet is the only way to fight that cancer.
The head dev for this was the head dev for Civ 4, so that explains the Civilization look and feel. And my guess is he was a fan of Crusader Kings and wanted to integrate that into a Civilization style game to help further evolve the genre.
I assume it wont be exclusive forever, but who knows. This whole war that epic is waging is kinda unprecedented, it would be sad if that happened. Its like were console players or something.
@@irkedcs nah, they're trying to copy what streaming services are doing. Which is fucking awful. Movie theatres did the same thing too until the supreme court deemed it unconstitutional. Unfortunately though, old people can't keep up with technology.
Tbh if epic wasn't doing such scummy gate keeping I wouldn't mind using it honestly. If it's "competition" wasn't just buying exclusivity and actually improving its platform it might actually have something going for it. But nope, it's just gotta be that drunk uncle while steam is the cool older brother
"Screw Carthage", now there's a true roman's opinion... no for real, there's a roman politician who became famous for ending all of his speeches with "Carthago delenda est" which is Latim for Carthage must be destroyed...even if he was speaking about something else entirely.
Having played some Humankind but not any of Old World any chance you will be doing more of a compare contrast between them? I suspect I will get them both eventually, but I'm not sure which to tackle first (and I won't have much time before Humankind releases so the fact that Old World is already out doesn't affect things much for me).

I liked the part where he was compassionate to the doggo
John Wick approves.
Really like these series! Old world is super refreshing and an actual good game - it's way better than humankind imo
Potato as Romulus: "Y'know what, screw Carthage"
Cathage will remember that
If i remember my history... they did and said that in real life too?
*enacts slavery*
*becomes known as "the Noble"*
Becomes “the noble” immediately after enacting slavery
Thanks for playing the game. Civ 6 really isnt my fav, but I just started this and I really like it. Keep it going Mr. Spud

"I'll level up my wife"
Is that what it's called these days?
I really like this series! I think you can keep leveling your heir by making him a governor Ort general
Wife and brother fell ill at the same time? A likely story. I can't believe they would betray you like that...
This looks like Civ 5, but plays like a mix of Civ 4 and CK3

@@Mathmachine Just about every word you said is appealing to me. This seems like a game I should definitely look into...
The visuals of Old World remind me of Civ 5
The devs are the same ppl that made civ 5
@@tuyenpham5460 damn now I feel extra stupid
This looks phenomenal
How has this game been out for over a year and I have not seen a single bit about it?! It looks fantastic.
Wish it wasn't an Epic Games exclusive. Bring it to Gog and/or Steam already!
Wow... Games looks great, gameplay seems to be very fun also. Hope we see this on Steam.
Please more of old world your commentary with this awesome game is like no other POTATOOOOO

Love the old world content potato
If only epic hadn't exclusive locked it. Would have been a fun game for me to pick up
ah, there goes my interest. oh well, I'll wait for humankind.

same, if I can't get it on steam, I usually can't be assed to get it. If it's exclusive, I just won't get it.

This game combines Civ6 and CK3 really interestingly.
Hey! Dont forget to improve te luxury resources in you cap, you have 2 sets of pearls - to Access a luxury you also need a specialist on the tile
Imagine how odd it is opening UA-cam and seeing a video with No Views. That’s how random me opening the app

"I will level up my wife" XD sounds weird
Wink wink nudge nudge.
it would be smarter to war Dec the Danes and settle with the Scythians you don't need to create more enemy's
Can someone tag me if captions become available?
Game looks fun. Too bad it isn't on Steam.
How many potatoes does it take to change a potato?
Trick question it's just potato
How do you win?
It's safe to skip the movie Ishtar.
Basically your wife had a daughter while she was a general of a squad, and you yourself were general of another one at the other side of the map.
