Years ago I got a kitchen sink strainer with a fine stainless steel wire mesh. It drops right in the bathtub drain (you have to get the right size). The nice thing is it's easy to remove. I clean it daily, the accumulated hair goes in the trash and I give it a quick rinse in the bathroom sink to remove any little things that remain. I haven't had to clean the tub drain since I got it. Highly recommend.
I've found that a fifty cent cylinder type lint screen that they use on washers and dryers fits quite well into the bathtub drain, and effectively filters out hair and debris.
Man it’s really amazing I been have a problem for so many years . and I don’t know what to do I try everything but I never try the The products you talk about it . thank you thank you very much
I have the just the plain Tub Shroom and it does work but it gets real moldy and have to soak in bleach at least every other week & it turns yellow. There is another Shroom that just has a stainless steel top but is really the plain one with a top; don’t buy waste of money. The top continually pops off and I finally just threw it away. Really like the looks of the full stainless steel one can’t wait to try it and stop having to bleach the other one.
ShowerShroom Drain Protector Hair Catcher is not going catch all the hairs. Look at the size of your shower drain. That center unit might work but all those holes around it do not funnel the hair to the center. Lots of hair can still go directly through the outer holes. I've been using a set of two fine mesh strainers I get at the Dollar Store for $1.25 for the set. The larger one is 4.375 inch diameter. Package says "Cooking Concepts" "mesh strainers" I use the large one for my shower and the little one for my laundry tub drain. If you use these, be aware they can catch so much you have to clean them or buy new ones more often. But they seem to be ultra effective. In the laundry tub drain I have to clean them every other wash to avoid flooding. I'd gladly buy a new ones every few months at only $1.25 per set. In fact I'll probably pick up a dozen next time. I have a shower drain that otherwise I have to auger every few months or so. So far no clog after many months. Note, they are not pretty after doing their job for few weeks. Try them out.... only $1.25 to experiment.
I used the last one you installed. When I asked to borrow his Dremmel, my husband was like what the hell you need it for. He was actually shocked and proud of me when I installed one myself. My hair is to my knees and he was always commenting about it being in the shower but would never let me cut it. Thank you for sharing this video.
Ditto! I have a strainer cup that can go over the top, but don't have a gopd seal surface. I rim it with toothpaste or peanut butter, let it dry. Then that helps catch a good bit, not all unfortunately! And can easily dislodge so all the hair goes down to clog up!
I put a simple strainer over the drains. When I'm done washing my hair I just clean the hair that's wrapped around the strainer. The water still runs through the strainer & it's a really easy inexpensive fix. Even my grandson who has very long hair uses my idea & likes it better than the shrooms.
That's all I do using different size strainers for bath tub the bathroom & kitchen sink done it for years never had any problems again just cleaning out the strainers with no more clogged pipes.
@@jyes23. you can get them at dollar stores very fine mesh wire strainers usually have two in package small & large I use small ones for sink in bathroom & larger one for the tub if you can't find them at dollar stores Walmart usually has them I also bought bigger strainer for kitchen sink they work great never having to worry bout clogged sinks & pipes.
Thank you Diane! Yes that will definitely add up and cause a clog. My wife and daughter already clogged our shower a few times since we moved in this house.. This will definitely solve the problem! Have a great weekend and thank you for watching!
What do you have for bathroom SINKS??? That's such a smaller drain, and I find it clogs up easily. (I have a large pedestal sink, & long hair, & I really like & need to wash my hair in this sink!). Also, what is best to unclog a bathroom sink???
I got rid of my hair clog problems once I made my patented hair holders, they are much easier on my hair. Only a little hair ends up on my comb once a day, not during a shower when I wash my hair anymore. Less hair loss helps keeps drains clear. Everything else stays hair free.
With utmost respect your items are great there's no if ands or buts but what I use when I first move into an apartment or house where the case may be is I use Crystal Drano. I do not use the liquid ones I have used them unless they are the professional that you get at janitorial supplies or stuff like this they're not that good The Crystal Drano is awesome it's a little tiny bit more expensive but I know that it's not watered down per se I know what it does cuz you could see when you put the crystals in follow the instructions you could see the the smoke kind of thing coming up a little bit and so I know that whatever's down there is being burnt off I also put it into my bathroom sink because of all the toothpaste I don't do it all the time but when it goes to get a bit clogged up that's what I do and if this was on the the stock market I would definitely seriously invest in in it best of luck what he's showing you is preventative and it's good but if you just move into a place get that junk out
This may be a better option than I thought. I was going to shave my roommate’s head while she was sleeping. Her hair is 4 feet long and she NEVER cleans the drains. It’s disgusting. 🤷♀️
What woman wants to pull the plug out after each bath? Is that the only way to get the water to drain, if it is she is going to call you to let the water out and clean the plug. Most women are not going to touch it. Let me know please, I'm running into the same situation.
There’s a 100% simple way to deal with this once every few months put some Drano in there when you start seeing it plug up even slightly put some Drano in there that’s what I do every three months😂

You can buy them at Dollar Store.
Me too
Last one was a great idea. Really like how flush and sturdy it sits. Great video as always!
Thank you so much Jay! 🙏🏽😊 Have a great rest of your weekend my friend 👍🏽
I can’t believe you cut your wife’s hair stuff! You are a brave man 😎👍🏻🙏🏻
Haha! 🤫
Thank you for showing these products!!!
Thank you for taking your time to watch! 🙏🏽😊
Thank you! I bought the white rubber one it did the job.
Thinking of trying the shower drain model just like you did.
I’m glad I could be of help! 🙏🏽😊
Nice customization on the shower installation! I appreciate the heads up about the hair strainers, I'm sold.
Thanks! Looks better than the strainers I was using.
I like the third option as it appears to be a snug fit and a nice appearance.
Thanks Joe! I agree! that's what we are using currently on our shower. My parents really like the Shroom Ultra for their tub.
You've got some really good ideas! Thank you
Thank you William! 🙏🏽😊

Thanks for the demo. Need to get something like that for my bathroom.
Great video! Thanks for featuring this product. 2nd one would be my choice

Those do not work for me, got one for shower and the kitchen sink. They both slide over or lit up with water.

Thanks for this video, the TubShroom Ultra Is exactly what I need for my wife long hair!
Thanks Jason! The ultra looks a lot more durable for sure and makes the tub look more classy! Thank you so much for watching!
We have it and it works!
Thanks. How do u use on drain with the tub stopper that lifts up and down

Great explanation 👍
Thank you! 👍🏽😊
Make a video of how to replace all the shower fixtures like going to a different color you know like going to bronze or something else
Most definitely! Ill do that next week! thank you for the idea!
@@FixThisHouse be really careful with the drain removal part
Do they offer the shower shroom as a square bc that’s what I have in both showers. Thanks! New subscriber here.

Fantastic ❤

How do you install pipes and tub spout? They did a really crappy job. I can't even take a bath
Do you know if they have square ones?
Hi Raymond! Unfortunately this brand doesn’t make square ones 😢

You just created your shower shroom 😁
Don't they have one that also can plug the drain, similar to the one you showed for the basin.
Yes they do for the sink. Please stay tuned!
How about short fine hair ?
you should be sponsored
Thank you 🙏🏽
I don’t have any of these types of drains unfortunately.
And not a moment too soon... I'm fresh out of wire hangers!
I can get the top off of the drain to put that thing in.

10 minutes of my life i will never get back.
Why?
Good luck with the wife for cutting those hair extensions, women are very particular with this things.!🤫
Tried it don't work.
Which one Jane?
Long hair is easy to stop. Short hair is the problem.

How can you put your wife on blast like that?! Now everybody knows she has false hair. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just extensions 😆
A balded person doesn't have these problems.
Haha I don’t have this problem 🥹

I’ve heard that Drano are not good for your pipes, and can eventually rotten your pipes for it’s chemical content. How long have you been using Drano?
Septic system nightmare.
👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏
If you want to use the bathtub and soak in there you cannot use either What a joke
Yes you can, the tub shroom comes with a plug 😊👍🏽
Muddy audio.
Sorry 😣
Must be your device. Seems fine to me.
