The Switch 2's dimensions are supposedly 206 x 115 x 14 mm. If true, these dock-type controllers won't work with Switch 2. Joycon replacements should still work. That said, it's not like your Switch will die and stop working the second the Switch 2 releases.
@@terpfenI'm more concerned if the third-party companies will made similar accessories for Switch 2 in its first or second year instead of at sixth or seventh year.

Alongside the gaming you get to easily stream UA-cam and Hulu on the TV, too. Doubt it's an enormous hit at this stage of the Switch's lifecycle, but could be really good for the right consumer.
Nice Edit: This definitely seems like a good improvement but i don't know if buying another peripheral like this so late into the Switch is worth it for me. Doubling as a dock is super cool though! Thanks for the video Kevin

Our thumbs on controllers were meant to sway from 10-12 oclock. This thing assumes our thumbs go 12 and 6 oclock. If you move your thumb down to the buttons, you're sacrificing placing your finger ready on the bumper and trigger. Now CRKD would probably say "Well, if you have trouble reaching for the buttons, that's why we have the paddles there to begin with" which isn't really a great argument since there are controllers out there with only 2 paddles but the stick and button placements are in convenient locations. I don't think alot of people are gonna buy both just for that "convenience" especially when the switch is basically out the front door at this time of its life.
Agreed, diagonal sticks are terrible. Wish Nintendo and microsoft would put their pride away for a second and make a controller that is ergonomically compatible with human hands.
I hope the switch 2 is something along this design with better specs and targeted at an older demographic, I don’t really take off the joycon anyways unless I get a different color I like more

I did have this preordered, until i learned that the remappable customisation did not include stick axis-inversion (like the 8bitdo ultimate with halleffect sticks). Maybe if they do add that in the future i'll consider it, but seeing how close the switch 2 is to being announced, might wait for their nitrodeck for that, unless nintendo manages to make the perfect joycons for it at launch.
Kevin, have you ever heard of and/or ever going to review MobaPad M6 HD joy cons for the Nintendo switch? There’s a lot of reviews out there however am curious to know your opinion on it.
Nice video. One question I've found difficult to answer about this (and indeed, the predecessor or other brand alternatives)... Can use you USBC headphones? My gaming headset which I use with my Switch, PS5 and computer uses a USBC dongle. Would it work with one of these?
It’s a shame about the ergonomics on these. I was convinced I wasn’t going to get one but then realised that when compared to the joycons it’s night and day more ergonomic. Hopefully they figure it out in their next iteration.
Let me just ask something, people were having problems with dock alternatives bricking their Switches, so how are people okay with risking their Switches bricking again with new dock replacements?
can't believe they looked at the wii u pro controller & thought, huh that extremely unergonomic layout is the way to go!! WHO THINKS THUMBSTICKS AT THE TOP IS A GOOD IDEA

lol symmetrical sticks for the win now if only they put the sicks on the bottom and the dpads and buttons on the top. I play more indi games that benifits from the buttons on the top
The dock thing is cool because it's how I use my Steam Deck in a minimalistic set up : as a controller when hooked to my monitor. But some features are still missing on the Nitro Deck new version. HD rumble witch a lot of 3rd party controllers include now. And what I would really like is the ability to be recognized as a GameCube controller to enable analog triggers in compatible games.
