@@DripMediaGaming i just hope next one I get in future has better dpad and triggers not as springy. The triggers are starting to feel loose and about time to replace
Hands down the Nitro Deck+. I can not stress enough how good this product is. After testing mine extensively and a friends, I am convinced that while their may have been QA issues in the past, that's a thing of the past. I have a SE TotK Switch and have had ZERO issues with the guide rails in the Nitro Deck leaving anything, not even a scuff mark or spec of dust. Playing the switch in the Nitro Deck also just feels better. It basically makes it the oversized GBA everyone wanted as a child. My one precaution that I have taken is I -never- charge the switch in the Nitro Deck on the off chance I end up frying the port, doubtful but I'd rather be safe than sorry. And since I almost never dock my switch and primarily play in hand-held mode, this has been a moot point. Plus the switch lasts SOOOO MUCH LONGER when it's not consistently having it's battery drained to charge two other batteries on the joycons. I shit you not, if I play with joycons attached versus the deck attached, I can easily get another hour or two of gameplay out before having to charge. Get the Nitro Deck +, you won't regret it.
Why isn't anyone making one of these with a built in battery to extend playtime? I still love my Nyko Grip for my Vita because it doubled the playtime.
I have a the older animal crossing color nexigo and white dobe controller dock and I love them both. Dpads are a bit stiff but use it enough times and you won’t notice. Also got an echzove one that my brother got me since came with traveling case so I got three of these. Share them with my brother since sometimes he uses it when not using his lite switch
I recommended to the CRKD team at one point to take a look at the Wikipad 7's controller, the ORIGINAL gaming tablet with detachable controls. I guess what they took from that suggestion was just the Wii U stick layout, when I had actually hoped they would make their controller wider to allowed for a staggered layout. Hopefully they'll consider doing so for a future Nitro Deck Pro or something and also steal the Gripcon's idea of making the controller itself have all the ports of a dock.
Nexigo gripcon I have. I’m not a fan of the dpad. I bought this because it has built in hdmi and usb. I usually have this plugged in to my TV. It takes a good 4 to 6 seconds to input over through the hdmi to tv. After using in handheld for a few hours, my palms in my hands start to hurt. All in all it’s not a bad handheld option.
If you get a circular dpad cap, and double sided tape you can fix it. I did the same thing for mp psp back in the day. It gives more leverage and pressure especially for diagonals
Gripcons are only $50 refurbished. But their QA is a lacking. I had to take mine apart and adjust it so the back buttons would click properly. But it was very easy to disassemble and repair.
I had the nexigo but returned it cause i didint like how small the thumbsticks were and i had no interest at time nitrodeck wasnt out yet. I went with larger and older style ergonomic controller nexigo had with the swappable thumbsticks
Because I already have the Original Nitro Deck i'm interested of buy8ng Nitro Deck +, but also that Nexigo Gripcon too, it looks so cool, might works good maybe better than even Nitro Deck, but not sure and I believe it's price is more cheaper than Nitro Deck + what's price is just too expensive $80/80€. Is Nexigo Gripcon lower than $60/60€? I'm interested about Nintendo Switch grips so I know this video will be good thank you Drip Media Gaming once again! 🎉😊❤
I tried the both and the Nitro Deck + is the winner to me. I do prefer the standard layout of the NexiGo, but everything else is better on the Nitro Deck +. Also the rumble is so bad on the NexiGo which is a big turn off for me.
Thanks for the review. One company just can't seem to get it all right. I would not buy one without felt to prevent scratching which is always going to happen where there is plastic on plastic. I like the look of the nitro deck 2 but not really a fan of changing the stick locations. The Steam deck stick are up top though . It might have been better to put the d pad and buttons in the locations of the Steam deck in this case which are beside the sticks. The Steam deck look is pretty good. People would probably be asking; What system is that? lol I just watched a video of upset people with scratched special edition Switch consoles. Terrible design with plastic sliding on plasticin the Nitro. Even felt on plastic scratches if you look close enough.
To be completely fair, the people who are sratching their switch on the Deck are pressing the switch against the deck to pull it out. If you don't apply pressure, hold the deck with the screen facing down at a like 2 degree tilt and just release, the switch slides out without any markings. People who have defaced their own switch on the deck have only their improper use to blame.

Yes you're so right bro!

Will probably double the weight of the deck making it uncomfy for long play times
@joshsmith7478 Yeah but then you'd actually have long play times. What kind of argument is that?
You could always pick up an expandable controller with Bluetooth. Gamesir has been making some pretty solid products.

What about the original nitro deck is it any good
It is don’t listen to anyone the position of the right stick is fine to me same with the dpad
Yes, it really comes down to preference for button/stick placement. Unless you want docking, which is a moot point for some of us.
