I have the limited edition original Nitro Deck and will likely wait until they release better limited editions versions with carry case in the plus before I get the plus.
Ive been playing metroid prime remastered and with assigning the back buttons in such a way so that i do not have to use the face buttons, has made it such a comfortable experience. It wont be ideal for all games, but for games the use the right stick for camera controls like in 1st person shooters and 3rd person shooters or adventures, this thing is great. 👍
I play mainly Smash bros and JRPGs like Fire emblem and Y’s 8 and 9, Xenoblade chronicles etc. Mario and Luigi Brothership as well. Which one should I grab?
@alz397 I'm not familiar with jrpg's and how they play but I will say for smash the regular nitro deck would be a better fit since the abxy buttons are up top. I would imagine mario and Luigi brothers brothership would be more comfortable using the original nitro deck too.
I got mine yesterday and im very happy with it, definitely a comfort improvement over the original joy cons! I prefer the two analogue sticks to be symmetrical as I don't use the buttons that often... The quality is great 👌🏼
@@GraySnake1006 at least you can buy third party controllers when they go bad. I only have one controller left on my PS5, no telling when that one will go out. Probably going to sell it with the one good controller when the Switch 2 comes out….assuming their third party controller support is still there.
@@GraySnake1006 hopefully, having a variety of options is really nice. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be compatible, it would upset a lot of customers. I read some article where it was mentioned that the old joy-cons will still work with the switch 2 (just won’t be able to magnetically connect to the device itself). Getting stick drift on a 70$ PS5 controller with no other alternative options available really burnt me. Nintendo would be stupid to not allow 3rd party controller support.
I’ve been using controller with 4 back buttons since 2013 with Scuf controllers and I always map the face buttons to the back buttons so I never move off of the sticks. The only time I prefer face buttons is for some action games where I have to mash a lot-not as easy to do with back buttons
@@jonathanbriu I got the OG nitro deck, it is nothing like the steam deck. Too small and I spend most of my time resting the device on my right pinky. Very uncomfortable after about 15 minutes. I hope the newer one fixes that, but maybe switch days are over if you have a Steam deck or rog Ally
Is this the best. I like the bro a good bit but still not perfect with the button placement. The joy cons are still the best in most cases with a proper gripcase. Ive tried the old skull and co and thought about the satisfy but too bulky. really like the cheaper Mumba case. Its really good feel and allow you to use the joycons and cost less than 20.
@128KB thanks, ordered a few days ago after watching your reviews, wanted to make sure I took the right decision, haven't use the switch much after Steam Deck Oled, would like to finish some games on the switch and enjoy it while it stills around 👍🏻
Id prefer the d pad and buttons up top or an staggered setup. PS5 is my all time fav controllers and layout. This device is tuff cus feels really good but I mostly play retro or Nintendo style games which is dpad and buttons. I get the have other buttons but so much with gaming is muscle memory and timing so Dont like that I got to complete change my buttons imo.
@ I went with the original one and I’m genuinely impressed with the quality. My advice to get the original its 50 quid and perfect to use while waiting for the switch 2

Hell yeah it’s worth it!! I love mine ND and ND+. Waiting for my Neo to arrive

Personally, the fact that its still cheaper than a normal pair of joycons makes this a must buy for me
ND+ has given me a new appreciation for playing portably. I do hope the next Switch's Joy-Cons employ Hall Effect sticks.
As much as we want that . Nintendo wants to make money from selling you joycon after joycon cause of drift .

I like turtles 🐢
Toitles
I was looking at this the other day. Since getting my steam deck my switch feels so tiny and fragile. This would definitely fix that problem.

@@TH15N4M315UN4V41L4BL I think you're right in terms of my switch days are over. However I've been looking to get some use out of the thing
check out the coiorvis phantom hd the black one makes the switch look like a pc handheld tbh
Do the Nitro deck and the plus both have clicky dpads?
It looks like a steamdeck if you've never seen a steamdeck
NexiGo Grip with Dock clears both of these for me.

I just got my nitrodeck+ ITS AMAZINGGG
I don’t even have a problem reaching the face buttons LOLLL
So do you need the app to change certain button configurations? Because I really don’t wanna get it if I have to make an account with them.
I left mine docked all the time until I bought a nitro deck. now I only play in handheld
interesting review, which one should I go with Nitro Deck + or mobapad m6 hd?
@@freddyrv I'd still get the M6 HD

pretty cool.
Can they get house of the dead remake working?
Maybe a nitrodeck gamecube edition for smash.
Is it true that the nitro deck scatches the back of the switch?
No. If you follow the instructions and remove it correctly it will not scratch at all
I got the red plastic original one with lottery money on sale with their controller and case. Just for kicks 🤷
Yessssssssss.. hahaha. Thanks for the vid lads.
Idk what to get from a new purchaser
Neither do I mate I’m stuck between the og Nitro or the Nitro +

No. There are more confortable options.

Nitro decks suck big butts. So uncomfortable.
Do you have small hands or big hands ?
They both have a garbage ergonomic
Why the F would they move the analog sticks
