- Singing after a chest cold or laryngitis is no fun! It can be confusing about when to start singing after your voice comes back. And sometimes, you may feel your voice is compromised for a long while after. In this video, I discuss why our voice never feels quite ready to sing after being sick, and what we can do to get our voices back in shape effectively.
Show Notes:
00:48 Discusses hurdles when not using voice for many days in a row
04:08 Discusses the chords after you lose your voice

I've got a question, Julia. How can ya tell if a singing-voice is just temporarily out of whack, or if it's just quite simply had it, please? Like, what are the tell-tale signs that it's just temporarily sick or damaged, and what are the sure-signs that it's completely shot and not coming back?
Thank you!! 🥰
So helpful. Yeah, excited to get my voice back but definitely cracking if I try to sing (and I'm not a pro by any means) so this was so helpful! What do professionals do to not damage their vocal chords when they are pushing their voice?
Thank you for this! Its really helping!
Haha, ASMR Glow has this video in her “Close Whispers & Mic Scratching” playlist.
I experience too much pain trying to get back to singing. Any suggestions?
