Lol I should have acquired a patent before I said anything 😆. It's okay it would just be cool to see it in a game. Even if it's not the primary focus of the game, like it's the means of communication with NPC's or activating skills (Naruto style), inadvertently teaching sign language.
Just think, poor people could save up and get a Quest and then they could have big screen tvs, fancy decorations and every thing they dream up for about the same cost of a cheap tv, a empty apartment could look like a mansion and you would not have to Worry about any one breaking in, there would be nothing for them to steal lol
I am amazed by the full room real VR the guy did of his living room. I could foresee being able to switch from standing to sitting games or even moving over to the keyboard and using the hand recognition to learn to play music.
if i remember correctly the headset use the sensor (also the same one that recognize your hand) and use it to scan the room and after enough data they can generate a virtual version of it in so many different ways, they're using AI technology for this
Render your house in vr life size, then add cool holograms and make the oculus guardian the walls of the house, and then live but you can change the time of day, and add things that are impossible in real life
Honestly. Your not wrong, ive banged into my desk one time trying to get my HydroFlask. And im sure this would be the easiest thing for them to do. Since they can track where your border is anywhere.
I really want minecraft on the quest Hopefully you dont need the link to play multiplayer after minecraft comes out if you're able to play minecraft multiplayer at all on quest
What about using vr hand tracking to help amputees, because you can tell them to do the same thing with both arms, and they can actually see it. Then you can give stimuli to both arms in vr. This could be used for any other limbs too, with external full body tracking
Imagine if the games could use the hands shape with collision detection to interact with the whole world like objects, weapons, ladders, door handles etc.
The big downside of this is how do you actually move around then? You need a controller with an analog stick to move around. This is where the valve index controllers really shine. Hoping they come up with a solution where you could still have some kind of simplistic controller to use to move and do other things like access menus/steam without needing to do some kind of gesture with your hands/arms
Love the thing at the end. Reminds me of a thing I saw at some point where a VR device would scan a room to avoid collisions automatically. But based on a quick Google search, this doesn't exist yet - or does it? (I don't own a headset yet, in the stage of gathering information on VR.)
Having your entire home rendered in vr would be really cool because then you could bring your friends over to your house without them ever having to leave their's
This vr game in development seems like my dream game,i wish i would be able to help but, i am thirteen and got no money. All i can give you is my GOOD LUCK and KEEP ON GOING😋👊😊
Thanks buddy for the video, going to try the Piano one, try to upload at least once a week cause if not UA-cam algorithm may take affect, you do great stuff, be good to see your channel growing to even greater heights ;)
Special gloves for tracking would be a better option here. Far easier to track and the hand gestures would be better recognized since it wouldn't be purely visual but capacitive as well
The Rs that guy pushes over almost seem REAL. Cause while they exist in a computer. He made them with some work & is able to grab them, albeit with a headset, but he's still using his HANDS to poke them. Imagine poking something that doesn't exist (that you made) WITH YOUR ACTUAL FINGER.
i wish they would update the selection part, like if you wanna select something in the menu, you could just reach out your finger and press the item you want, instead of pinching your fingers together. i was all for hand tracking but having gloves on with force feedback, you could put your hands under a vr facet and feel the water
id recommend reaching a helping hand to Orbus reborn VR, theyve kinda already got this going full on. ill admit, your game looks very much more fleshed out, just needs multiplayer, at the very least co-op of some kind. Best of luck with your game! kinda gives me paper mario thousand year door vibes, which is super cool. ill probly still give it ago if it ends up being 1 player.
I do not think it got so much better. One problem is that going through the menus both hands are tracked active and it's easy to unpurposely select something with the hand that is not active and you are not consciously using. To solve this only one hand at the time should be allowed to scroll and select, from the other hand only visualisation is needed. Second problem is still a lot of stuttering sometimes and all sorts of weird vibrations of the shown hands.
Do you think this will be added to oculus rift s? I'm thinking that they are trying. The new v18 update that is broken right now looks kind of like they messed up while trying to implement it

ua-cam.com/video/EGPu_tEA5Lo/v-deo.html
Honestly, they should add Hand Tracking to The Climb because it would just make the game Sooo much more real, and Terrifying
I second this
I third this
I Fourth this
I disagree, I find too much realism immersion breaking.

Maybe some kind of a textured glove , will make the tracking better?
@ i think he means just a glove with dots for tracking, no electronics
that's a great idea, cheap textured gloves for about 20-30 dollars that enhance your experience, you're smart
Perhaps some kind of “power glove” ..... with buttons ...
We need hydration tracking where your water bottle gets tracked and you can get it and drink within vr

Augmented reality that can completely change the space your in rather than layering something over it
They should have done a co-op with Leap Motion years ago and we would have fully working handtracking allready.

They need to make bigger cameras to track better and hands dont disappear if you move them too fast
I sideloades a virtual piano game on quest with hand tracking it was a actually quite accurate
They should give hand tracking to the thrill of the fight, it would be hard to track the quick movement but if they could do it it would be amazing
