    I normally start to glaze over on this type of video due to the assault on my senses by the information overload and the corporate design engineer "selling" the new car but this was DIFFERENT. Harry asking all the right questions and Simon clearly lived, breathed and loved his part in this cars development. He knew the answer to absolutely any question Harry could come up with and his replies were interesting, enthusiastic, detailed but above all else understandable. Great bloke and an asset to Aston Martin. Thank you.

    • @r0smor
      @r0smor 10 місяців тому +2

      @MisterLovaLova I agree with your sentiment, but I blame Gen Y rather than the manufacturers. They're only making what their customers demand. Just like Gen Z's first question about any product is, "can I operate it using my phone?", Gen Y's first question is, "how big's the screen?" It's why Teslas have been so successful.

    • @Konszky
      @Konszky 10 місяців тому +10

      @@Neo_LV69 people constantly complain about how everything is so high tech and digital. Depending on constant flow of electricity. Because that´s gonna break one day and you have to switch the entire screen, consol or control unit.
      Changing a cheap (not 5k, what are you on about?) button or a switch every once in a while, is 100% more preferable.

    • @woodreg
      @woodreg 10 місяців тому +6

      @@Neo_LV69 utter nonsense. whole point of buttons is that they are always in the same place, you don't need to take your eyes off the road as your muscle memory knows where they are. if they wear out, then they're made from cheap materials. Manufacturers went to screens to save money, and accommodate more advanced features. Fine for using a screen to adjust some infrequently used setting, but for Hvac, audio, seat heating etc buttons are way better. So kudos to Aston here for doing the right thing, that customers actually want. Not everyone wants a cheap, rubbish interior like a Tesla where they even have got rid of column stalks...

    when i was a 12 years old boy i was very passionate about cars ..i used to buy every months the 2 most famous magazines we have in italy about automotive and i spent hours and hours reading them that i knew every car of every brands lists ..that was the years of the Lamborghini Murcielago and Gallardo, Ferrari Enzo, F430 and 612 Scaglietti, the Volkswagen W12 and Phaeton and many more amazing cars, but the first time i saw the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish i fell in love instantly ...the most beautiful car ever made, a work of art comparable to a Raffaello paint!
    many people think Astons looks all the same and i say them thank god..i wish more cars to look as the Vanquish..such a beauty must be seen at evey corner of every city, like a beautiful girl..the most beautiful girl!

    I think that is a slam dunk for Aston. Stunning. I loved the first generation Vantage (which I was lucky to drive), couldn't get on with the looks of the last generation, but this new one is awesome. Looking forward now to seeing when Harry gets to drive it, shame it's such a wait!

    They appear to have nailed this. So pleasing to see a manufacturer putting a new car out with no hybrid nonsense and plenty of buttons in the cabin.

    Ten times better, just with those headlights alone. When this design of Vantage first came out, like many people, I was underwhelmed by its looks compared to the previous version. Those squinting headlights never worked. Looks like a proper Aston should. now.

    Too bad the camera was not on Newton when at 10:35 you note: "You still have the torture seats." He furrowed his brow earlier when you said it's the same engine as the DB12, he must have scowled at "torture."

      It's good that Harry takes these ppl out of their bubble and into reality, commenting on real world ownership experience. I wouldnt want to be negotiating those seats every time. Simon did say I am just the oily bits guy so maybe they should hv had another guy on there too. Basically what this is is the design prep for the new GT3 cars IMHO...
