Harry asking all the right questions and Simon clearly lived, breathed and loved his part in this cars development. He knew the answer to absolutely any question Harry could come up with and his replies were interesting, enthusiastic, detailed but above all else understandable. Great bloke and an asset to Aston Martin. Thank you.
Coming from a prior owner of a 2021 Vantage, this thing is EXCITING! This fixes so many things that I didn’t like about my Vantage. And this front end is stunning! The interior 🤯 I. WANT. On another note, I very much look forward to your videos - this is no exception. Enough depth and information without being boring. Great one!

Just like Gen Z's first question about any product is, "can I operate it using my phone?", Gen Y's first question is, "how big's the screen?" It's why Teslas have been so successful.

Because that´s gonna break one day and you have to switch the entire screen, consol or control unit. Changing a cheap (not 5k, what are you on about?) button or a switch every once in a while, is 100% more preferable.
@@Neo_LV69 utter nonsense. whole point of buttons is that they are always in the same place, you don't need to take your eyes off the road as your muscle memory knows where they are. if they wear out, then they're made from cheap materials. Manufacturers went to screens to save money, and accommodate more advanced features. Fine for using a screen to adjust some infrequently used setting, but for Hvac, audio, seat heating etc buttons are way better. So kudos to Aston here for doing the right thing, that customers actually want. Not everyone wants a cheap, rubbish interior like a Tesla where they even have got rid of column stalks...

@@gregkollaeg2365 Engine and drivetrain are both the same thing. That and what's wrong with the 4.0 AMG V8 it's extremely reliable very powerful Aston Martin has applied its own tune to it. AM no longer uses ancient Mercedes infotainment that and they build their own electronics/chassis tuning. So wrong in pretty much every way.

I'm impressed that AM have been so quick to rectify the design and interior gripes that affected DB11 and Vantage sales in the past few years. The latest batch of cars since DBX are so desirable. Any chance of a less manic inline-6 version for us sub-plutocrats, say 500bhp? I know Mercedes has a rather nice one knocking around in the E-class and CLS. It'd be very Aston.
They use the Mercedes inline 6 on the chinese market DBX, they should consider putting it in this "base" Aston, similar to Bentley's V8 & W12 engine choices

I used to do the pest control at Aston Martin in the mid 2000’s. I was always amazed how clean and organised the factory was / is. The attention to detail is outstanding.

I think that is a slam dunk for Aston. Stunning. I loved the first generation Vantage (which I was lucky to drive), couldn't get on with the looks of the last generation, but this new one is awesome. Looking forward now to seeing when Harry gets to drive it, shame it's such a wait!

Ten times better, just with those headlights alone. When this design of Vantage first came out, like many people, I was underwhelmed by its looks compared to the previous version. Those squinting headlights never worked. Looks like a proper Aston should. now.
Too bad the camera was not on Newton when at 10:35 you note: "You still have the torture seats." He furrowed his brow earlier when you said it's the same engine as the DB12, he must have scowled at "torture."
It's good that Harry takes these ppl out of their bubble and into reality, commenting on real world ownership experience. I wouldnt want to be negotiating those seats every time. Simon did say I am just the oily bits guy so maybe they should hv had another guy on there too. Basically what this is is the design prep for the new GT3 cars IMHO...
Absolute MASTERPIECE in my opinion. Just absolutely beautiful, sleek, and incredibly powerful looking at the same time. It’s just tremendous. I’m going to order one on Sunday. ( depending if my numbers come up) It’s without question the most beautiful looking sports car since the original E type Jaguar was launched.
Cracking Aston! I was never enamoured with the front design of the previous Vantage, this new design has corrected that and we are back to the beautiful styling, top marks. the tech sounds great too. i agree with rescyn1190 excellent having and engineer speak about the car rather than light headed design types. Can't wait Harry for your test drive.

Love the looks, and sounds like comprehensive chassis and engine upgrades. That interior too wow. Serious upgrade on what was already a mega motor.
I really wish they kept the analog dials for the dashboard instead of all LED. Otherwise a superb iteration! I think all Astons are a work of art.
