- New Root of Nightmares raid armor in Lightfall is the most unique raid armor we have got in Destiny 2. It shades extremely well with every shader I tried but some shaders have a unique interaction with it! We go over those in this video but I'm interested in hearing about what shaders you tried on them / liked on them! Thanks for watching!

@@benlarson6031 I'm sure there's a way to make it look good with other armors. Even exotic armors. I'm not big on the whole fashion endgame but I'm convinced you could make anything look good

i think this is one of my favorites sets ever made. Like im glad they didn't go the boring route and went for a clean look cause this is actually creative

k, has anyone else used regal daring on them? cause that looks just fantastic, not so black you lose any detail but enough to be a solid black, plus, really nice white/yellowish crystals :)

I’m really liking this raid armor. I think it shows just how grotesque the Traveler’s power can be if it’s focused super heavily, and then mixed with Darkness.
I hope in the future we can see more of this environment.
They are going to dial back on it because some people are ‘sensitive to light’ same as they have done in the past. Maybe instead of ruining the fun for 99.999% of the community they make it a toggle option to dim the strobe effects
Shadow guilt gives the weapons a more vibrant look on the glowing part
The warlock chest gives me confusion in pvp like my brain forgets where to aim when I look at a enemy player wearing it.

Have you try pairing Omnioculus helmet ornament with RoN hunter's class armor yet? It make all the hood and the cloak gone
Idk if it is a bug or a feature but i ithink it worth mention for those who like the hood/cloak-less hunter
I believe that ornament pulls down the hood. So if it makes all of RoN disappear then it's likely counting the entire piece as a hood and not as a hood + cloak.
Its not the first helmet wich removes hoods. I have one already wich is kinda old. I belive it was from guardian games or something. And it seems like a feature at this point.

God I’d love the hunter cloak if it wasn’t for the horn
Transcendental Ambition is definitely my top pick as this is the only armor that doesn't use the ugly off gold red color associated with the shader.

From what I saw, the Hunter Cloak only drops on Last encounter. Am I right? Or do I have the chance of getting it in the other encounters as well?

Iron countershader makes the webbing look like metal. It's not amazing but it is interesting

The helmet is cool, I just wish it shaded better when used outside of the full set as well as the eyes not being shade-able

I was really hoping the weapons and armor would match the raid aesthetic more being pyramid tech that has the terraforming roots of light penetrating through out the weapons and armor. I’m glad others like the sets put it’s personally a pass from me.
I don’t really like it but that’s just my opinion. I was thinking it was going to reflect what the traveler did to the pyramid to some degree with the terraforming.
I NEED THAT ARMOR BUT THEN I NEED PEOPLE BECAUSE I HAVE 5K HOURS AND ONLY 500H WITH FRIENDS AT THE BEGINING OF THE GAME

Why don’t you raid? Raiding is the best part of destiny and you’re not really experiencing the game if you don’t do them imo. This raid especially seems like one of the easiest in the game’s history and I don’t doubt you could compete it with a decent lfg group.
Honestly that chest piece and helmet for warlock is fire. Love the multiple arm look but everything kinda sucks

Armors that I’ll never be able to get
I really don't like the abstract deep sea monster vibe because it weirds me out a lot, however, I do like that it's hinting that were probably gonna be getting some Subnautica type of action in season of the deep. It just makes sense, season of the deep, then the raid weapons and armor have a deep sea vibe.

Hunters look a bit meh. As a Hunter main I was hoping for more but as a solo player with no clan or friends to do raids with it's also something I'm likely never getting lol.

ye the raid armor is cool but i cant make a good lookin outfit with it the armor is way to abstract and cant fit with any other armor pieces
Tbh it's actually very easy. For warlock I use nezarec helm when running void and it works great. For titans they match really well with the strand boots. Hunter for me is having the hardest time but it didn't look nice combining the whole set with the new exotic helmet ornament that comes out this season. Wormhusk?
I like it, but I definitely think they could've done a yin and Yang kind of theme with the armour since the raid itself seems pretty well based on that, but again this is pretty cool
Edit: yin and Yang as in how the mechanics have the light and dark symbols (swirling triangles and light orb things) so it could've had that aspect of both light and dark put into an armour
Maybe some shaders can do the job
I could’ve sworn it was based off plant life growing because the traveler awoke nezarec, the armor is almost plant themed because all the vines and plant references

Bro these might be the worst raid armors ive ever seen.
Unique is one word for it. There might be a few decent peices of armor or weapons but the majority look awful. Raid gear is the pinnacle (no pun intended) of quality when it comes to an expansion. Not seeing it here. The exotic shotgun looks good tho.
Hate to break it to you but D2 raid gear has never been the pinnacle of dripness! It's always been ever verse cosmetics.
Unique doesn't mean it's good, welp, at least that means i got some new fodder to try my hand at redesigning
