I have nothing against Rick on a personal level... he's an excellent source of information within the Destiny community... HOWEVER.... it's just his voice... and his overall demeanor is just so damn cringe... I feel the same about Nimbus...
The way you teach is absolutely perfect and it’s insane how underrated your channel is. I watched your other guides for deep stone and kings fall and even though I knew how to do the raids, I still watched because it was genuinely entertaining. Thanks for your work even if it’s not noticed by many people 👍
This is actually the best guide of root of nightmares I've seen. All other ones came out the next day the raid came out and those guides are missing a lot of details about the raid. This guide on the on the other hand is an actual full complete guide. We'll done 😊
This is the clearest guide I’ve watched. ❤ Not only did you explain exactly what to do and where to go, you explained the actual mechanic and what to look for, and WHY each person needs to do what they’re doing. As a neurodivergent person, I find it really hard to fully grasp guides by bigger creators, but this was super easy to follow. Thanks so much!
I've always though i was the type that could not learn without doing, but watching this vid (after first watching dattos and kakis and thinking wtf bruh this makes no sense) this is really clear dude i'm fairly confident im good to go.
Just came across this vid, very well done. The way you actually break down each mechanic instead of glossing over it, is a step that most "bigger day one raiders who make content" either don't or won't do. Your channel should be bigger and I will do my best to spread the word about you. Thanks again!
Omg coming back to Destiny after a long break its so good to watch a Raid guide that does not start with "We did this day one on contest mode" with a ton of stuff you really do not need to even know.
If I'm not mistaken, the bubble to refresh the buff should always be 2 plates behind you in the sequence. This is true except for the beginning of the sequence when there are only two plates currently active. If we were to assign a number to each plate based on the order the purple orb spawns, the route would look something like this: get buff @ 1 -> consume @ 2 -> refresh 1 -> consume 3 -> refresh 2 -> consume 4 -> refresh 3 -> consume 5, etc. Hope this helps you runners out there!!
This is the best raid guide I’ve seen yet, most guides I’ve seen before somehow make things seem more complicated but yours explains each encounter quite clearly , well done and thanks.
Wow, finally someone who knows how to do a guide without leaving out a lot of very important details. They matter. Other vids just brush past some key info and just leave it out. Well done!!
I'm just glad they HELP. I never intend them to be the end all be all either as I'm sure y'all will figure even better ways out! Warms my heart to hear, happy raiding!
your raid guides are so fucking good. idk i love datto i think he makes fantastic videos but i always end up kinda overwhelmed and confused when i watch his raid guides. you make it quick and to the point. love your guides
the only guide i undrestand thank you so much. english is not my first language so i struggle to undrestand most guides but not this one. really simple thanks
I had been told that Explicator is the hardest boss because of the planet mechanic, but you explained it in a digestible and easy to understand way. No fluff. No long-winded explanations. Perfectly simple. 11/10 would explain the same way you did.
DUDE THANK YOU You're very aware of dragging on and getting to the point as well with showing visual representation that actually makes sense!! This video inspired me to complete my very first RoN !! SUBSCRIBED
Tbh I am not doing raids on a regular base, because I have no team and of course don’t know most of the mechanics. But this channel gives me hope to really learn any raid now! Your explanation is seriously so calming and on point! Exactly what I was looking for. Most of the other channels are making the mechanics look like magic… but you are really referring to the absolute basics! Thank you so much for this awesome work! 🙏🏼
This is the only channel that explained it in a simple way. I’m not knew to destiny but I’m new to the different mods and weapons and raids ect. I have been watching the big destiny streamers explain this and it still sounds foreign to me. But this was actually understandable 🎉
Thank you for explaining it the simplest way possible u cut right to the chase. It's a great video, and I liked it and subbed keep up the great work man👍👍😀
These comments really give me the positive energy to keep going. I take all of these to heart and I'm just so glad these HELP in any small way. Happy Raiding out there!!
Absolutely brilliant. So easy, and straight forward, and those quick reviews after you explain are sooo helpful and effective to recap everything. Subscribed!
Wow. Just wow.. thanks for that.. Still seems like I'm going to get crushed, but I've watched a bunch of videos and this is so incredibly much better of an explanation of the node mechanic.. Thanks a bunch. Just subscribed.
Hands down the best guide. But what you meab by "chain" in the firet encounter and why no guide shows how to actually connect them? Is this content protected by bungie and no one is allowed to show it?
You can have 6 runners on 1st encounter if everybody gets the buff, goes to their nodes, and the person at the start just refreshes the buff every time somebody shoots a node 😊
Question: when I was doing this encounter I was explained basically the same thing you said. I’d kill my colossus, grab the buff, and then look up at my planets. Except…. On your video the dark planets are clearly dark. And light planets clearly light. My planets looked normal. No changes.
It might have been someone's stray bullet killed your Colossus, basically taking your buff. That would be my first guess! But hard to say unless we can get view of your run
After initially enabling the light buff and shooting the first dark orb, doesn't the runner have to return to the aura orb to re-enable their light buff before shooting another black orb? Doesn't the runner have to do this each time after shooting the dark orb? In other words, the ad clear and support players can't shoot the aura orb because if they do, the runner won't be able to re-enable their light buff and hence won't be able to shoot the next black orb until the aura orb re-energizes.
That's correct. The arrow points you to the next node in the chain that you have to shoot. It has nothing to do with where the "source' bubble is located.
Once both runners are done, look up towards his throne. There will be a mini square relic pyramid-looking object. That object will literally charge up and shoot a bright laser at him. That makes him "vulnerable" and ready to take damage. I recommend someone/anyone on the team, literally stare up at it while everyone is huddling together on a damage plate
I agree, after some time I was really unhappy with it. So I made a new version of only the 2nd encounter: ua-cam.com/video/YeN8vyuHCXU/v-deo.html Hope this helps!
Hmm. We just finished this raid but your explanation on the 2nd encounter with the death gap is strange….add clear people don’t need to buff themselves by shooting the orb….they just stand in a completed node’s aura…
*explains entire raid before kakis finishes his intro*
"AS you can see"
Lmfao🤣🤣🤣

Don't make me cry LOL Thanks for the kind words
Thank you for making diagrams and an awesome sense of explanation and difficult situations people face.
Just subscribed for the reasons yougave.

My brain probably functions similar to what you're saying which is why I started making these type of videos int he first place!😄
This is so true. Best guide available hands down. Thanks 🙏🏼
Exactly ! It's the clearest guide I've ever watched too (vs aaall the other famous UA-camrs). Thank you 🙏🏻
Earned my like and subscribe
your guide is literally the best man because you being more specific than any other youtubers.
Did my first RON raid after watching this several times. Thanks you helped make things easy.
I've always though i was the type that could not learn without doing, but watching this vid (after first watching dattos and kakis and thinking wtf bruh this makes no sense) this is really clear dude i'm fairly confident im good to go.

Hands down the best walkthrough video I’ve ever seen. Beautiful master class of work here. No other UA-cam channel has created such good content.
You explain this raid better than anyone. No one ever bothered to teach me, and I got nothing from watching other creators.

If someone disrupts your buff [or you accidentally double buff] it will return to the 1st plate too. at least in boss room.
these are by far the best raid guides on youtube. as much as i love dattos raid guide music, this guy explains it way better.
You guide more clearly portrayed the mechanics and flow of the raid that any other guide I’ve seen.
This is the best raid guide I’ve seen yet, most guides I’ve seen before somehow make things seem more complicated but yours explains each encounter quite clearly , well done and thanks.
I love how much you dumb it down for people like me and make it so easy to understand you deserve way more subs man keep it up
No one explained that 1st room the way that you did. Thank you!
This was the easiest to understand guide I’ve seen by far. Well done.
Wow, finally someone who knows how to do a guide without leaving out a lot of very important details. They matter. Other vids just brush past some key info and just leave it out. Well done!!
Your guides are easily the best out there! I love the way you break everything down with graphs and visuals. Thank you!

honestly out of all the videos ive watched on guides, i 1000% understood this without my brain hurting :) ty
This is honestly the best raid guide I've ever watched. You've made it real easy to digest. Really appreciate how you've put this together!
DUDE THANK YOU You're very aware of dragging on and getting to the point as well with showing visual representation that actually makes sense!! This video inspired me to complete my very first RoN !! SUBSCRIBED
GET IT!!!
Thank you, this guide helped me a lot at understanding the smaller details of the raid other guides didn't even bother to mention.
By far, the best guide on this mechanic. Thank you.
Extremely clear guide. Well done. Looking forward to more content in the future 💯

This is by far the best video i've seen on running, great job

How do you only have 10k subscribers?? You make the best guides, by a mile.

I watched this guide in full already knowing what to do because it is that good.
Ok I subscribed for how well you broke everything down especially the beginning
Thank you! Absolutely, understand that and the rest should click!
By far, the BEST RoN how to guide out there. Now if you could please explain where to find the secret chests and collectibles.
Your videos always make the most sense to me
Straight forward! No confusion. Best one I've seen. SUBBED!
This is the video for dummies thanks bruv
This is the best I’ve seen so far. Great work !

This is a great breakdown. Still nervous to join and do the raid. I don’t have anyone to play with and I get so nervous doing these raids lmao
This was the only useful guide I found for my smooth brain
This helped I couldn’t understand till now
Thank you for the video. The breakdown is a lot better than others.

best guide so far. simple and easy
Thank you so much I swear to god when kakis explains what to do I can't understand him at all
Great guide! This really helps. Do you think you can also do a guide for last wish. I love your guides the best!
Best guide I’ve found. Thanks!
Best explanation I’ve found thank you!
whatever you think of destiny: the raids are one of the best game design elements I have seen in all games ever
Thank you! I was able to complete the raid cause of you
Better than fallouts video! masterfully explained planets
Detailllllllld explaination. Love it. Subbed quick as hell. Keep it up!
You can have 6 runners on 1st encounter if everybody gets the buff, goes to their nodes, and the person at the start just refreshes the buff every time somebody shoots a node 😊
Excellent Excellent Excellent!!!

Wow what a great guide- thank you!
You're the GOAT. Amazing guide ty

Yes, it is the safest to do it the way you just described. One dedicated runner, and everyone else never ever touching or shooting the orbs ever.
Awesome explaination in this guide thanks
You earned a sub, great explanation.
By far best explanation!! #TY
Perfect guide. 10/10 bro❤
- Narrator explains main mechanic
- Me being a networking guy: "ah, it's a trace route"
So even if the arrow on the node is pointing a certain way, the dark bubble could be behind you
That's correct. The arrow points you to the next node in the chain that you have to shoot. It has nothing to do with where the "source' bubble is located.
For boss encounter, how do you know when his wipe mechanic will start? Does shooting his chest delay it?
Once both runners are done, look up towards his throne. There will be a mini square relic pyramid-looking object. That object will literally charge up and shoot a bright laser at him. That makes him "vulnerable" and ready to take damage.
I recommend someone/anyone on the team, literally stare up at it while everyone is huddling together on a damage plate
Great guide
I love u brodi i already turned on post notifications
Beautiful
Amazing teaching skills for a good game with impatient players lol. 👏
Best guide ever!!!
encounter 1, 2, and 4 is easy to understand for me
but encounter 3 took 2 hour to completely understand 😅
You're amazing, thank you
This is great help!
Love this great guide many thanks
Great fucking video. Thorough and well explained.
This was a great guide
I like how you explain it to me like I'm 5. Other guides overvomplicate things and make it sound way worse than it really is
But if your fast and complete a chain do you necessarily have to kill the psions?
Good point, nope. We found that you could get away with ignoring psions for the first and second chains. The last 2 chains can get a bit rough.
@@heyitsfriendly thanks for the great content bro...
Sub earned 👍
That's a WILD WAY to do the second encounter 🤣🤣🤣
I agree, after some time I was really unhappy with it. So I made a new version of only the 2nd encounter: ua-cam.com/video/YeN8vyuHCXU/v-deo.html
Hope this helps!
very good tutorial! Although, I still dislike raids.
2nd encounter is way way simpler if the runner shoots the buffs with the other two standing in the bubble..
Wait this guide is cracked what is up youtube recommend earlier pls.
Hmm. We just finished this raid but your explanation on the 2nd encounter with the death gap is strange….add clear people don’t need to buff themselves by shooting the orb….they just stand in a completed node’s aura…
You're good
How can I join clan?
Dude got a sub in like than 45 seconds. Efficient af 😂😂
I always seem to be missing a 2nd person let alone a 6th😂
We used to only need one. Now we need several LOL
This video > falloutplays video. Waaaaay better explanations.
