Just for anyone trying this, there's another form of edible water that is easier to make. You take water and put it in an ice tray, put that in a freezer, wait a few hours (the longer the better) and it produces this amazing crunchy substance called ice.

The issues and symptoms he was describing is indicative of depleted electrolytes.
Our bodies are very capable of surviving many weeks without food whilst being fully energized from the fat reserves stored in the body.
During a water fast its imperative to do research beforehand! This means knowing that he shouldn’t have bought normal drinking/purified water and instead should’ve purchased electrolyte infused water that includes sodium and potassium. If that still doesn’t work to bring energy levels at livable levels then one would need to add salt, potassium chloride, and maybe lemon & other essences to boost effectiveness.
Also after 3 days the body will go into autophagy so some muscles may feel sore as the body recycles damaged protein cells all over. This is a beneficial process that adds longevity to your life in various, research acclaimed ways.
Also during a water fast one may find themselves tired at certain times of the day where they previously wouldn’t be. Its absolutely fine to take short naps throughout the day which will enable you to receive an energy boost and revitalization afterwards to carry you on the rest of the day.
Additionally it’s advised that one refrains from doing vigorous exercise while on a water fast as with many people it can be counterproductive to protein synthesis and deplete electrolytes at an exponential rate when breaking a sweat. If one isn’t diligent on replacing those electrolytes they’ll have severe headaches, muscle spasms, and dizziness when standing up or moving around eventually forcing them to end the fast early. Light exercise can be achieved while on a moderate water fast (anything under 14 days) such as resistance training. Longer term water fasts should only be done by experienced health nuts that don’t need this kind of explaining.

In regards to my own personal experience, the first three separate 7-day water fasts I preformed were all quite similar. I had severe lightheadedness when standing, little energy towards the end of the fast, and an overall unproductive mental state, even when drinking the appropriate amount of water everyday including buying electrolyte infused water. Then I realized I was simply not intaking enough electrolytes! This is primarily due to the media campaigns and government miseducation demonizing salt intake in our society, while ignoring the excess sugar and calorie consumption most Americans indulge in. All my prior negative symptoms seemingly disappeared on subsequent water fasts by doing just one thing: pouring 1-2 teaspoons of pink salt into my cup of water multiple times a day whenever I was becoming physically drained. I was fully energized throughout the duration of all my future fasts - I had no lightheadedness, and was not craving food at the end of each of my 7 day fasts.
I even was losing less weight. Originally I would lose 10-13 lbs on a 7-day water fast and then immediately gain 7 lbs of water weight back after resuming my normal food intake. On my improved water-fast, I would only lose 3-5 lbs of weight (all expected fat weight) and retain the remaining water weight; since the purpose of salt and other electrolytes naturally helps the body to retain water, something it requires for optimal functioning. Remember, our body is 75% water, its healthy not to deviate from this ratio! I eliminated the common “yo-yo” affect many people observe when undergoing a water fast and it really changed my perspective on human physiology, helping me become more in-tune with my own body and more aware of the biological processes occurring therein.
Also take note, that many studies have proved there isn’t a hard upper-limit on the amount of sodium you can ingest on a daily basis. This is assuming an individual has no pre-existing heart conditions which can affect cardiac rhythm and even brain function; as most bodily functions are only able to function due to electrical impulses made possible by electrolytes. You can intake up to 6,000mg of sodium on a daily basis (more than 2x the official recommendation), and thanks to how well the body regulates it’s electrolyte balance, excess sodium will be pushed out almost immediately during the next urination cycle. Although there is definitely a lower-limit for recommended sodium intake. And considering nearly all of our sodium is obtained from food, opting for a water-only diet absolutely necessitates supplementation of salt in your drinking water, multiple times a day.
This is especially true as people drink more water while undertaking a water fast, which naturally creates a diuretic effect and pushes electrolytes out of the body at an increased rate during a time when your body needs them the most. Thus normal 2,500mg sodium intake should be increased to 3,000-5,000mg of sodium a day to counteract not only the sodium loss due to the absence of food, but also increased sodium loss due to this natural diuretic effect created by intaking more water than from a normal diet.
TLDR: For anyone attempting an extended water fast, don’t be scared to pour Himalayan salt in your water multiple times a day, especially when you begin to feel physically drained, as it’s almost certain your body is telling you that you need more electrolytes. You’ll immediately begin to feel better and unlock the secret on how to productively function in a fasting state and partake in its benefits.

That's a myth. You feel extremely weak.. a normal eater can't even complete 24h without food and feel ok.

Bruh I’m on day four, and everyday I swear anytime I see food I just get huge cravings, but other than that if food isn’t in my sight I don’t feel hungry.
Yes, that's true for some people. After the first day and a half my hunger went away. My mouth went really dry though, but of course, that was because I was doing no water or food for 3 days. Next, Im planning to do 5 days no food, but I will have only water to drink.
My hunger went away completely on day 4 but cravings became horrible worse.
Its different for everyone, some ppl wont crave nothing after day 2 others after a week. But yea your body just sits there and gets used to the feeling of an empty stomach 0_o

I did a 7 day fast once before. I only drank water and green tea. It was so so challenging. I felt so weak. I ended up losing 12 pounds that week. I said I’d never do it again.

it all depens on your perspective on how you feel about fasting. if you believe that fasting = starving, then youre gonna be weak. but if you believe that fasting = healing of the body and regeneration of your cells, you will feel great. you can’t forget about having fresh air and sunlight everyday while fasting to get the energy you need. autophagy is caused by fasting and its very good. autophagy heals your body completely. if you or anyone you know has cancer, do a 21 day water fast, you will see how its going to help. trust it. people before didnt eat so much food like we do now. all this procesed food just destroys our gut health. gut health is the most important, because if you dont have a healthy gut, then your body cant be healthy. read something about it. i would recommend watching sandghuru.
I'm not a doctor. From my own research I've found that when you're not feeling well during a fast, you should consume more magnesium and Potassium/sodium. When doing prolonged fasting you'll experience a huge water dump, which depletes electrolytes from your body. This gives off a feeling of being sick with the flu. I've read that people should be consuming about .5 - 1tsp of salt dissolved in water a day while fasting. It wouldn't hurt to just buy some Magnesium and Potassium capsules, and take those too. A multi vitamin is probably a good idea to keep taking as well. Just stay away from gel capsules like Vitamin D, as they have a small amount of calories and will break your fast.
But before everything, always check with a doctor before doing a prolonged fast. They should check for any nutrient/vitamin deficiencies as well as any other pre-existing health conditions. Fasting can be harmful or even fatal for certain people.

Day 4,the weird feeling in your legs, was probably a build up of lactic acid. It happens when j water fast. I normally get rid of it by doing some light leg stretches, then it helps get the circulation going so your body can sort it out :)

It’s a process your body goes through to regenerate itself. It’s a bit scary but worth it. I’m currently on day 5, target to go 10 days. It’s definitely a test of will power and determination. Potassium deficiency was the leg problem. I think it's great that you did decide to stop because it shows how challenging it is as well as it's not meant for everyone. Start small and build your way up to a week. I would like to try 48hours and see how I do.

When I was a young teenager, I had severely crooked teeth. I hated my smile so much that I refused to eat in public and even in the company of my family. I was secretly snacking at midnight and sipping on water and other beverages. After a few months of essentially fasting and playing sports, I looked boney. I was originally overweight. I recovered after receiving braces but I learned a powerful lesson. Fasting can be hard but if your motivated and mentally strong, the human body can go by with very little.

Your body will not allow you to starve after 3 days if you have access to food. I was homeless broke and 115 pounds. I had an empty stomach up until mid day 3 when I couldn’t sleep or even keep down water because I was so nauseous. Next thing you know I’m at a McDonald’s digging in the trash eating garbage and throwing up because I ate it too fast. It’s like my instincts took over and I felt like an animal. Every meal is special.

When doing extended water fasts it's important to replenish your electrolytes as you can't get any from food and drinking more water flushes out electrolytes from the body
You should incorporate Himalayan pink salt and baking soda in a mix of water to replenish electrolytes xxx

I’ve done a 7 day water fast before while going to work for 8 hours and working out every other day, it is not easy but definitely doable

Dude it was a bad idea to go all in like that, you need to prep your body for something like this . It helps to first start with normal intermittent fasting with a doable eating and fasting window like 12:12. As time goes on you can shrink the eating window(and thus increase the fasting window). Then get to a point where you only eat a meal a day. And then gradually increase the number of days you go without food. It's definitely possible if you do it slowly and steadily.
It's amazing how you managed to go 4 days without food with no experience before. I think you're mentally very strong and can really pull off a one week fast with some practice.
