  • There were a lot of requests about the right elbow, a very important part of the swing. Of course you have exceptions as well, great players, who don't have the right elbow in place but mainly this is a tip, you could always try out, whatever level in Golf you have. I wanna have my arms working together, so I have to pay attention to both of them. In address you can do a lot of your homework already.
    Watch this video and I am sure it could help your swing!
    Have fun watching and practising!

    😢 Thanks for another great lesson. You make it easy to follow. Most other instructors go into so much detail that you lose track of everything. Looking forward to more videos from you. Thanks.

    Great video Martina! As I have incorporated this in my swing routine for some time now.
    Once I am in my golf posture of bending from the hips first and then unlocking my knees I simply think to twitch my trail right elbow inward and immediately swing my club. I do not not concern myself what my hands and wrist are doing as it is impossible to consciously control them in a one and a half second swing. In fact my whole body will rotate and respond naturally as long as I simple think to place my club head in front of the ball; set my posture; and then: Aim/Twitch/Swing. AT AGE 76 it is my go to perfect swing. Cheers 🥂

    Thanks for this. You make it look so easy! I’ve been working on this and it is helping to stop that dreaded over the top swing and turning my shoulders too flat. Now I just need to better understand what to do with my hands and wrists. In this video you seemed to lay the club down at the top- was that forearm rotation or a wrist action or both? Many thanks!!

    • @martina_eberl_coaching_en
      @martina_eberl_coaching_en  6 місяців тому +2

      You are very welcome! Well the action of laying the club on top has many ways. Before you try to rotate your arms in the backswing, I would watch that the clubhead does not travel behind your hands at take-away. Once the clubhead is behind you, it is hard not to cross the line on top and you have to compensate all the time. So first, take care of the start in your backswing! Hope that helps!

      I wish that you had answered the person’s question and not diverted into fluff. I really wanted to know the answer to that myself. I’ll move on to another channel for the answer.

    Older male golfer and still curious about that elbow with the driver swing when starting down from top of swing? Approaching impact , does it almost touch hip?

    I have the best lesson ever for bending the elbow, #1 Go to the 19th hole and order a pint of Guinness or your favorite IPA #2 Grab the mug lightly and lift like your showing off your muscle 💪 #3 pivot your mug to the left and make contact with your mouth #4 hinge your wrist, repeat this several times to gain muscle memory and enjoy telling everyone about how many birdies you missed. 🤪🍺

    Thank you Martina that was very informative and may I say it is lovely to see a woman professional golfer wearing appropriate clothing. Very dignified, nothing worse than some brilliant young gun reducing her popularity to her body. I know it sounds strange but your dress sense is in the right direction, may you be rewarded for it.

    Martina has no fat. Nice upper body.

  • @michaelmontana0804
    @michaelmontana0804 5 місяців тому +1

    The problem you have Martina is that you are disconnected at address and throughout your swing. This is because you are swing the club with your arms and not your body. The body swings the club…big muscles, not hands and arms..little muscles.
    Simply place a glove under each armpit and keep your elbows down throughout the swing. It will seem difficult at first because of your reliance on your arms for so long. But as you get better at this you will find consistency and power without as much strain on your lower back as well. The lower body starts the downswing and your trailing elbow will fall into place naturally. This is Hogan 101. Try this and I am sure you will see improvement.

      Thank you Michael PGA Professional. I didn't really ask for a lesson, but its certainly nice to get one sometimes. Well Michael, I've been playing with this kind of swing for over 36 years now I guess and have always been disconnected with my arms as many many other great players do too. There are some reasons I do that, you don't know. I know its much simpler to hit the ball with your body, but this is how I swing the club. I don't have much time to practise anymore and as long I hit it as good, as I do, I am happy. But thanks for your help Michael! Good luck with your teaching!
