    I took a chance and went out and purchased a studio pro 22. Best amp purchase I ever made. It sounds that good and is a blank canvas for whatever pedal you want to put in front of it. Absolutely the best amp out there. To my ears, it sounds like a Fender Bassman but with more headroom and more tone tweakage.

    I love how honest you guys are about pricing. None of that usual boutique market BS implication of, "Why WOULDN'T you be able to drop six grand on a guitar???" You know it's expensive, you admit it, and you explain why, no nonsense. Like the other 90% of the people watching this video, I'm doing so to live vicariously through you guys, and I really appreciate it:D Keep up the good work!

    @AndertonsMusic Lee, you run the best shop on earth, the staff were great. i got an American standard strat, black with a maple fretboard. my dad bought a new bass as well a fender delux jazz bass natural ash body. the guy in charge showed us around the new area of the shop, is gonna be gret when it's done. i hope to return some time in the future.

    @RobChappers I like the longer length videos, gets the full insight of the gear, but if theres one thing that would be good, if you like put things were you click to hear certain sounds at certain times , like 3:99 (example) distorted tone with telecaster, for people that want to hear certain things, and just add them to the description, only if you had the time with the videos you put up :)
    Ace reviews as always chappers dude!

    These amps ,like the boogies are built like tanks giving you decades of trouble free playing , using only the best quality materials. Most of the cheaper mass produced amps swap quality materials to increase the profit margin. Also , you guys are great and I enjoy having a laugh while learning about new products on the market. Keep playing Rob you're a great guitarist.

    I own a HT40 and a Two Rock custom reverb head. I can only say that the Blackstar has a harsh overall sound. Changed everything, speaker/tubes/eq pedals. It's a good amp but really not for clean sounds and some decent rock. It'll do the metal thing really well.
    I can only say the Two Rock really shines on the clean channel. OD is a little bit pushed but very subtle tone difference to the clean channel. It really rocks and takes pedals amazing! (using 2x12 wgs et60/vet30)

    @horsieytube Its the latest 2011 Custom Deluxe Strat from the Fender Custom Shop. They are sensibly priced & have really raised their game over the last 1-2 years. I think this Strat would give a Suhr or an Anderson a run for its money (& it looks amazing too!)

    Questions: Why were all the guitars tuned down a semitone (Open E sounded like Open E flat)? It gives a false impression of the sound of the amps. Did you change the "pickup loading" when you swapped over from the Telecaster to the Les Paul? Sounded like you should have....

    Are these amps as good as Soldano..? or are they as good as the Cornford amps or my Carvin Belair twin. I ask this because those are my favorite amps I ever played through and I own the Carvin twin which is a spectacular sounding amp. It's so good you really have to play through one to understand the perfection guitar tone as no video or sound bite can convey it if you know what I mean. I heard people say the Two Rock amps sound heavenly or shockingly good but what does that mean..? I know it means they sound stunning but in what way..? They look like generic almost disco build quality in appearance with the black tolex and white piping but this may just be a part of their shock factor just like the Mesa 2C+ which was a small almost half sized head with the tweed cloth panel which makes you think it was a bluesy come country sounding tamed amp but in fact it was one of the most stunning and wild skull crushing beast from the pits of HELL! I could never afford or even find one of them so I bought the Mesa Triaxis and Mesa 2:90 power amp and with the triaxis having the identical circuit board taken from a 2C+ it sounds exactly the same and is 95% the reason why people bought the Triaxis in the first place...lol. Now everytime I see a picture of the 2C+ it makes me laugh at how they tricked their customers into thinking it was a bluesy mild breakup type amp...lol!!

  • @tonytouchzz
    @tonytouchzz 8 років тому +24

    I wish they stop letting rob demo quality amps.... You dont play distortion on a dam "gear review" distortion almost alway sound the same. Play a fucking banjo on disto and it will sound like a jackson on disto. Just leave the gear review to lee or learn to play without effects and other things than thrash metal...

    • @tonytouchzz
      @tonytouchzz 7 років тому +1

      Thomas Pillitiere think your on the wrong video, this is a demo of two rock amps and they said they were to do a clean tone demo... Two rock is known for their clarity belltone. Then they demo with crazy gain/disto...
      Im not an idiot for expecting a clean tone demo of a famous clean amp in a video called "two rock demo". Your the one sounding like an idiot for insulting random people for no good reasons.

    • @tonytouchzz
      @tonytouchzz 7 років тому +1

      BACKINGBAND dont get me wrong though, I think rob is a good player and a nice guy but I subbed only for the anderton reviews, i love rob and lee synergy. Anyway it as nothing to do with them, I wanted to see a two rock demo for a purshase and I love these dudes, but I was disapointed with the demo. Lot of talk and then a bit of clean play and a bit of disto. I feel bad about my first comment and apologize to Rob... But I was disapointed with this demo in a time I needed it to be great
