All of the different branches of US service should make guys train this stuff. Anyone that has ever trained in MMA/Combatives knows that you get confidence and skill from this type of training. So proud of the Army right now.
I'm in the Air Force and this is so true every unit in each base whether those units use hand to hand combat or not should do this not only for deployments when shit hits the fan, but also for Camaraderie, morale and unit vs unit fighting.
Marine Corps's had a formal mixed martial arts program since the early 2000s. I'd be interested in seeing Marines at all belt levels vs this; and see how they fare.
@@hardchargingMy coach told me he was a Marine that marine corps martial arts sucks and one of the pro fighter in my gym said marines thought they could take him and they got beat up.
The Army should have never cut combatives and martial arts out of BCT! It builds character, and sometimes the right way to solve problems isn’t pulling out a gun and shooting everyone. If the Army truly cares about maintaining a positive image, they should bring combatives back!
These guys would destroy any marine MCMAP instructor. I say this as a proud marine who regularly pokes fun at the army. This is some good stuff going on here.

VIDEO REQUEST: get together a few good men from the best combatives school the army has to offer. And do a video showing your average Joe, how to use one or two strikes to incapacitate a bigger, stronger attacker in 2 seconds with nothing but your bare hands.
I really do like this program, & this type of training which is essential for our Soldiers, & some of our Airmen, as well as a few of our Space Force Guardians. Any Soldier in front line combat MOS's should do this, such as Infantry, artillery, tanks, combat engineers, & most importantly our SF Soldiers & Airmen. I do think though that it does tend to heavily favor or mimic the UFC-MMA which is still a sport where war is no game. Plus the system we used back in WW1 & WW2 (based on Jujitsu, Wrestling, & Boxing) was very deadly. The British & Canadians in the World Wars had a great system called "Combato" later named by Bill Underwood "Defendo", as also the English added a Kung Fu based system into their techniques. The Russians have "Sambo" which is Russia's version of Judo, very effective system. Imperial Japan had Jujitsu, Kendo, & Karate with their Officer Corps, & Staff NCO's being of Samurai lineage in WW2, very deadly when they faced off against our Marines in the island hoping campaign. Us Americans need to stop being so feminized, PC, & soft with training otherwise we will get our clocks cleaned, so this is an excellent sight to see. So I would consider bringing some of those techniques back in addition to this. MCMAP is decent enough for the Marines, & the Sailors, but my hat is off to this & it should be essential training for combat & rough career fields.
They should train in All American martial arts if you ask me. No Disrepect to any other arts. But you have original arts from the US. Hawaiin arts, Indian arts, Puerto Rican arts, and Alaskan arts. I feel like they should combine those and make them the official fighting style of the US. Along with some of the other countries arts. But I guess they do what's working for them.
Man at 0:52 if he were to keep his arm down he would honestly hurt the other guy who tried to do the tornado kick shit hurts you can break your foot also they need a little more practice though
Army infantry soldiers men and women go through this navy seal have a different one where they get training in krav maga muay thai shinobi iri intonjustu and kali
I’m not about that bare gloveless fighting. Sure you can experience real combat but the amount of sacrificing their bodily health is too great. At least implement gloves at all times unless you’re only using wrestling or bjj.
This isn’t competition fighting, this is regarding saving your life against an armed/unarmed attacker in close quarters. A well fed decently trained American soldier is gonna beat a skinny, untrained Taliban fighter.
@@sayedamirale5407 yeah 😥 he wouldn’t beat khabib but he’d beat him to death with his rifle as trained if they were both engaging close quarters with empty weapons as the scenario would suggest

In training if you don't fight in real
The chances are
You will 100% die in war
