I always wanted to be an army ranger or any kind of special forces, life didn’t go the way I expected by these soldiers have my complete admiration. Focus, strength, durability, and intelligence is always on show in these special forces training videos

I want to thank all current or past US servicemen, especially from the Berets, for their service! Huge respect and much love from your humble NATO ally - Bulgaria!
Selection used to be one month long. Anyone can train to carry a heavy rucksack and successfully negotiate Nasty Nick. The hard part is passing Star Course. Physically capable, intelligent and mature Soldiers are what SF is looking for.
A lot of keyboard warriors here. This is hundreds of years of combat experience carved to make you a more effective soldier. If you ever see redundant things during the training like tire dragging or sleep deprivation. It isn’t to train you on a specific skill but instead to test you on your ability to endure hardship.
Airborne. A secret is for everyone to begin cadence and then go silent. That way you guys can set tempo in the first couple of lines of cadence and then conduct march. A hooah free zone.
So glad they didn’t have selection when I went through in the 70s, you can get hurt doing that stuff, 😂they were more interested in my intelligence, resourcefulness and determination. I get it though, once they went X-ray half-way through phase-one people who were not fit or had no heart washed out after the military had already invested a lot of time and resources in their training. De Oppresso Liber
I don't care if you are a SEAL, Green Beret, Airborne, Ranger, Sapper, whatever. You went through some of the most grueling training the military has, and you should be proud.
If anyone is feeling lonely and brokenhearted know that Jesus heals and delivers from every form of torment, he truly gives a peace that surpasses understanding that this evil world can never give. Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Fear and worry come from the devil but life and peace come from Jesus, God has been misrepresented by people who don’t know him.
I love My Beautiful American Soldiers so much and more than myself, Go My Beautiful American Soldiers!!! I'm so proud of You all!!! You all are My Heroes!!!🥰😍🤗❤❤❤❤🤍🤍🤍🤍💙💙💙💙💯💪🙏👍👍
If you are told too much about the assessment before the assessment, it invalidates the concept of an assessment. The idea of the assessment is they are looking for people that can adapt to the unknown and highly fluid environment and circumstances.
If you’re trying to min max your prep for a military selection, youre probably gonna fail. Eating well, exercising a lot, sleeping, and drinking less than your peers, if not at all, and for a long time beforehand is about all you can do to ‘be ready’ physically. Again, if you’re thinking about training to get in shape for a selection…you’re probably gonna get hurt. If you’re wondering how well you’ll be fed, or the timing of the course, etc., small things, you’re probably in a good place.
How long is they work out train between jogging or do y'all do it like p.t. Start small to get the muscles to understand before step up a level is how I do new company with exercising but the. Other side of how y'all roll I all ready know trust my family it's to many I was raised with from white to black
The actual training is often times not the part that stops most people, Its getting mentally and physically fit enough to even attempt it. For SF you need to run a almost sub 14 minute 2 mile and while that's not hard to get if you put in the consistent effort, a lot of SM's are only in the army because of free college or as a stepping stone onto a different point in life.
@Carolina_CrewChief while those reasons not necessarily being a bad thing as the institution has evolved over the past 4 centuries into trying to be an employer of choice while alps fulfilling national duty requirements, those attracting bits have been what has kept people trooping in and on good number of cases doing their time and making it to General. On the SF side, I think less Hollywood and more documentary like films needs to make it to the youth so they appreciate and better prepare for the toils of SF selection

I was 16 when I became a combat engineer back in 83. When three guys showed up for training, one green beret, one from the 82nd and one from the ranger battalion. They failed and I didn’t. I was like damn, I beat out three career special forces men at 16. I never went, but I figured I beat sf guys at being an engineer. Didn’t have to prove myself any further. So don’t be freaked out about selection in the sf, it’s not that hard if I beat out a green beret at 16
Ranger school is a 2 month gruelling course at ft moore and Ranger is special operations 75th ranger regiment and there are 3 ranger battalions Green berets selection 9 months of gruelling training to earn the title more training after that to become activated and there are 7 special forces groups
Yes. Both troops r hard as nails, but GBs have more specialized training for their mission, which is training others. Rangers are specialized assault troops.
No cellphone in sight, just pure bromance.
I remember that grueling non stop training. Now I’m watching it at home while eating a bowl of ice cream. My dues are paid in full.

Do you get to pick your MOS or is it assigned? Retired squid here.
I remember this all to clearly back in the 70's, now I have been retired for 24 years and fat and happy watching this video. Thanks for the memories!!
In Spain it is much worse, they put a veteran next to us who told us his stories and how shitty we were.

You have to be able to pull a man out of combat which is why they stress so hard with the pulling of weight. Not an easy task with a full kit on.
