    A lot of keyboard warriors here. This is hundreds of years of combat experience carved to make you a more effective soldier. If you ever see redundant things during the training like tire dragging or sleep deprivation. It isn’t to train you on a specific skill but instead to test you on your ability to endure hardship.

    So glad they didn’t have selection when I went through in the 70s, you can get hurt doing that stuff, 😂they were more interested in my intelligence, resourcefulness and determination. I get it though, once they went X-ray half-way through phase-one people who were not fit or had no heart washed out after the military had already invested a lot of time and resources in their training. If anyone is feeling lonely and brokenhearted know that Jesus heals and delivers from every form of torment, he truly gives a peace that surpasses understanding that this evil world can never give.
    Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
    Fear and worry come from the devil but life and peace come from Jesus, God has been misrepresented by people who don’t know him.

      If you are told too much about the assessment before the assessment, it invalidates the concept of an assessment. The idea of the assessment is they are looking for people that can adapt to the unknown and highly fluid environment and circumstances.

    If you’re trying to min max your prep for a military selection, youre probably gonna fail. Eating well, exercising a lot, sleeping, and drinking less than your peers, if not at all, and for a long time beforehand is about all you can do to ‘be ready’ physically.
    Again, if you’re thinking about training to get in shape for a selection…you’re probably gonna get hurt. If you’re wondering how well you’ll be fed, or the timing of the course, etc., small things, you’re probably in a good place.

      The actual training is often times not the part that stops most people, Its getting mentally and physically fit enough to even attempt it. For SF you need to run a almost sub 14 minute 2 mile and while that's not hard to get if you put in the consistent effort, a lot of SM's are only in the army because of free college or as a stepping stone onto a different point in life.

    • @1anre
      @1anre 10 місяців тому +1

      @Carolina_CrewChief while those reasons not necessarily being a bad thing as the institution has evolved over the past 4 centuries into trying to be an employer of choice while alps fulfilling national duty requirements, those attracting bits have been what has kept people trooping in and on good number of cases doing their time and making it to General.
      On the SF side, I think less Hollywood and more documentary like films needs to make it to the youth so they appreciate and better prepare for the toils of SF selection
