My wife and I took a trip to the Nethercutt collection last Sunday and saw this beauty in person. What a magnificent machine. And the collection in general is something to behold. If you get the chance, go. Oh and it's free.

I lived in Southern Cali in the 90's, and back then, YES, it was the place to be. Not anymore. No wonder news says Cali has the highest number of people moving away. Just don't come my way please.

I owned a loaded 63 split window 340 hp and it was a dream to drive. The 360 had a lumpy cam and carburetor that poured in fuel like the gas pump. The 300 and 340's were quick smooth, and sounded great. They were a joy to drive quickly and even fast. I found i could drive her all day. This Ferrari brings everything to the next level.
Jay we all wish you well and a pain free recovery.

I hear that in the 70’s you could pick up both a ‘63 split window and most 60’s Ferraris for fairly cheap. Both really appreciated a lot by the mid to late 80’s. Unfortunately you can’t touch anything now for a decent price. Even rust buckets bring a lot of money

    Chassis: 10077
Finished in Rosso Rubino with a tan interior, this 365 California was completed in May of 1967. It was sold new to Sam Goldstein in the United States. It was soon after acquired by Jack B. Nethercutt and has since resided in the Nethercutt Collection. Still boasting its original colour configuration, it is only rarely seen in public. At one of these occasions, it is seen here at the 2008 Quail, a Motorsports Gathering.
"rarely seen in public" certainly doesn't apply to Jay. He showed up last night at a club, and did his fans proud.
The naysayers were abundant when he first rec'd his injury. "He will be seen much less from now on."
Nonsense. 2 weeks after, there isJay back on the screen, for all of us who love him, to see.....and hear. Good Job Jay Leno. The Car Guy Hero.

I've seen one driving on the highway in the Boston MA area on 95. Last October, I almost lost it. Never have been more terrified about keeping my car in it's lane before

Thank you Nethercutt for sharing this one! True Gran Turismo, gorgeous, fabulous sound, comfortable, massive wood, leather and chrome, effortless, fast, glamorous and it has a trunk. And those trick flip up driving lights for a night dash through the desert. Too bad it's around, what, four, five million today?

Jay has the maturity to appreciate a grand tourer, yet still feel the wind through his eyebrows.
Good luck with your recovery, Jay!

The Columbo V12 has to be one of the most perfect engines ever designed. It has a nice power curve, looks amazing, and makes no 'exhaust sound'... it makes mechanical music❤️👂

I bought the Ferris Beuler car after it went off that ledge. Don't worry, its in one piece again, a labor of love and craftsmanship of automobile artisans across these united states. And i put a Chevy 350 V8 in it.
Technically, i did it because i had a good one already and the price the original engine would net paid for the restoration work.
But now i enjoy being able to tell people "yes its that car and its back to perfect condition" to make their eyes shine then open the hood and watch their jaws drop. Its all circumstances but the story of it being retold is just so much of a rollercoaster for the listener.
