- It's no secret that celebrities typically have impressive car collections, but there's one that shines above them all - even above Paul McCartney's car collection. Of course, we're talking about none other than the man, the myth, the legend, Jay Leno.
With more than 180 cars and 160 motorcycles in his collection, Leno is bound to have some ostentatious classic cars, and modern ones too. Name it, and chances are that Jay has one example of it nesting in his garage. From iconic American muscle cars from the '60s to modern hypercars, there are all sorts of crazy cars in Jay Leno's garage.
Throughout his massive collection, there are quite a few cars that stretch beyond $1 million. Although impressive, there is one more feat these cars carry... they're excruciatingly rare. So, today we're going to take a look at some of Jay Leno's rarest cars.

Thing i like is that Jay actually drives his cars & they dont just sit there gathering dust.
The thing that I like about Leno's cars is that it is a very diverse collection, and he actually takes them out and drives them!

I worked on a tv show where Jay was a frequent guest star and he would spend time with us “ car guys “ . Tim Allen was the main star so between he and Jay it was like a car show every day on the set . Jay also gave myself and about ten others from the show a 3 hour tour of his collection . Out of this video he has driven the original 300sl race car , the side opening corvair pickup to the set . Jay also shows up at our local car and coffee Sunday morning events and is often in the Malibu hills is a variety of unusual vehicles . Truly a one of a kind guy and so down to earth it’s amazing . If yo have an unusual car he will come up and show as much interest in it as any of his multi million dollar possessions.
I love that Jay loves anything with wheels and a few things without. Such a broad collection of just cool cars and bikes.

I'm afraid the "e"type description is completely erronious . This car was actually discovered in an empty property by a curious policeman only a few miles from Jay's garage . It was completly covered in blankets ,sheeting , no one knew it was there . Jay aquired the Jaguar and very carefully recommissioned it but kept it's patina. So it is not a one off V12 , it's a completely original 1963 3.8 litre series 1 dhc . .....do your homeswork !!!

Jay Leno has one of my favorites as well. The Cadillac ELR. What a unique car.
Jay leno has 3 xke’s 1 white coupe (s1)and 2 convertibles the roadster in videos is a low mileage straight 6 (s1) survivor. his red xke convertible is the v12 car (highly modified (s3)built by xk’s unlimited. Can’t fit a v12 in an early swb car. You have to start with a (s3) and change almost everything.
My Wife owned a 90 xjs v12 Convertible for a while while we in San Diego. Awesome ride.

2 koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition and 2 CCXR Trevita. One of them was a CCX used for Crash tests and the other was a CCXR which is still a factory test car. I dont beleive Jay owns a koenigsegg. Im sure Jay doesnt condone or sponsor or approve this video either

If you take the vehicle's price out of the equation, I would most want to own the 63 Jaguar. Mostly because it's all original unrestored low mileage, you get to experience a 60-year-old new car. It's rarity and the V12 are just added bonuses.

You go on Jay's youtube he has done a video on it. As pointed out it is not a v12 as stated. It's a nice survivor that still has the factory crayon marks under the fenders because of it's low miles. The only part Jay has swapped out is the radiator tank (with a og unit) because it was rusty and he drives it.
I know that Jay Leno has one of my favorite cars. The 1965 Buick Riviera GS. 😊

It's actually spelled Doble. One of his Dobles was Howard Hughe's own car. I crawled around under one at a show in Michigan- fascinating!

Once upon a time in Wonderland I saw parked, on Kercheval in the Village in Grosse Pointe, a Turbine car. It was very different from anything else. I can't remember but I think it was outside the Brass Door Restaurant or maybe Kresge's. Living in Grosse Pointe was unreal.

Nice to see a Lagonda. I worked for a Lagonda specialist in the sixtys. W O Bentley probably developed the v 12. There were also v 12 Lagondas at Lemans in the early 50s. I have had the pleasure of riding in one of them. 4 cars built 2 left with 4.5 l v 12s

Leno's 1994 McLaren F1 should have been on this list. Sure, these manufacturers made less than 106, but the F1 will always be Legendary🤘🤘❗️ "YEAH❗️"
While the McLaren is super expensive, it is not as "rare" as most of these cars.

A rare Car in the USA is the 1969 Rover P6B - It was voted the first European Car of the year. Could do about 120MPH and was extremely smooth and comfortable.
I really dislike these bot-narrated videos that are all over UA-cam now. They’re full of mispronunciations (Le MANS, Ford FEST-iva, etc.) 🙄 it just really detracts from the enjoyment b/c it shows that whoever made this video cared more about saving money than by making something really accurate

the turbine, I'm surprised a semi truck company hasn't come out with a varient that uses a turbine engine instead of a diesel engine. the turbine only saw better fuel economy on the highways. with a semi running 60-70mph got 8-10 hours per day, they could see a huge potential, especially with the increased emissions ratings of diesel engines making it almost impossible to manufacture an EPA compliant engine.
Ford had one in the early 60s. Didn't work out.

I would love to speak to jay as the cars I find interesting are not particularly rare, priceless or expensive compared to his rather I like what was widely available when I was growing up but even those I can’t seem to find. He has a lot more Rare Vehicles than you mentioned, the Baker Electric, Dobel Steam Car, Rolls Royce Merlin Engine Roadster, Butifuco Race Car and many more.

The Lagonda and the MB car hauler aren't even genuine, they're replicas. The Turbine was never available for sale, the EcoJet is a concept car, and the Shogun is a glorified kit car, as is the Shotwell. This video is a dumpster fire.
