Did you learn programming in your first semester of college or later on?
If you dedicate a year to it and practice properly, you can learn the prog lang in any year of your college. Just be dedicated and patient.

@@akashchandra2223 no ofc not! If you can work for it, you can achieve it at any age! All you gotta do is stay dedicated to it. Solve as many programming problems as possible. Pick up a domain in software development and get to know as much as you can. Learn the tech stack, make projects on it. There are numerous online courses which are free of cost.

Kindly go for artificial intelligence engineering. Salary is way more tuan than software engineering field. Moreover, AI is one of the fastest growing fields.
