I was 10 years old in 1969. Led Zeppelin changed everything for me. I could not believe what I was hearing, it was like the music gods smacked me up alongside my head and said PAY ATTENTION TO THIS. The British band invasion came about and it was a great time to be growing up.
Robert Plant lead singer harmonica & main lyricist * Jimmy Page lead guitarist producer editor of all their albums, the great riff master & lyricist too * John Paul Jones (JPJ) bass guitar keyboards mandolin music arrangements & multi instrumentalist * John (Bonzo) Bonham drums & the greatest drummer ever. When he passed away in (1980) the band split up, they knew they couldn’t replace him.
Teenager from the 70s here. We had such great rock music from Led Zep, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, Stones, Santana...just to name a few. This was one of my favorite songs to rock out to. Thanks for the reaction!
I agree, start at the beginning and go through the whole catalogue. You may not like everything, but there are dozens of songs from LZ that are absolutely some of the best music ever produced. Ramble On is my favorite song of all time, since it was first released. A perfect combination of acoustic, electric, soft, hard, phenomenal bass, vocals, lyrics, guitar, drums..... I could go on, but I''m just rambling. Oh, and I would recommending always listening to the studio version first, then explore the live versions.
I got my 1st Zep album at 10 yrs old, xmas 1970. My 1st Zep concert was 72 or 73...and no my parents had no clue. I was wild. Next Zep concert me and my gf hitchhiked from Portland to Seattle. It was a long time ago but im so glad i was born then. I listen to alot of different genre of music now, hip hop, rap, r n b, some new rock but mostly rock from old days. Anyway, its so sweet to see the younger generations find the love of these rock Gods. It'll change you forever! Blessings and white light.🙌🏽🙏🏽🤙🏽🌺♥️
i was 8 yrs old when i 1st started listening to My Beloved other Worldly Magical Genius Led Zeppelin & THIS was my very 1st most LUVD song by them back then NOW My MOST Favorite LUVD Song By Led Zeppelin Is The One I Am Listening To At Any Given Moment
I grew up on Led Zeppelin. ❤ My dad loved them! He said when he saw them play live in Cincinnati in the 70s, the arena had small glass windows all along the top of the building & they were so loud they blew most of them out!
If you want to see what Led Zeppelin is really all about, you need to watch their many vids from Madison Square Garden in 1973... Best band ever, and even better live!
I think that was me who recommended Led Zeppelin to you, so I hope you keep enjoying them, because there so much more to love. The tapping at the beginning is the drummer tapping the lead guitarist guitar case, gave it an amazing added sound. There’s references to The Lord Of The Rings in this song, & others.
@@ikeeight8 an amazing & wonderful journey it will be, if you choose to embark on it. Each are The GOAT Of Their crafts, together They Are The GODS Of MUSIC!
They're from England (UK). A lot of the greatest bands are from there: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Traffic, Led Zeppelin, etc. I was 15 when their first album (Led Zeppelin I) came out.
This is one of Zep's songs that was inspired by the works of Tolkien. The "girl" in question was the One Ring into which Sauron (the evil one) poured his will and malice.
I was in middle school when I first heard Led Zeppelin and was hooked. I later became a Rap/hip hop head so I really enjoy the younger generations first introduction to this Legendary band. Over the hill and far away, fool in the rain, of course stairway to heaven, and when the levee breaks… endless hits ENJOY Gen Z ❤
The GOATS of rock. I wore out all their albums. Robert Plant singer was every girls wet spot. A song called Roundabout by YES off the Fragile album is a peach ✨️🎶✨️
Great songs, you could start with their debut album Led Zeppelin , I & start at the beginning & work your way through them all. Some other reactors did that, & after each album played some live performances, they are amazing live. One of my favorite studio songs is You Shook Me, from their first album. Amazing lives my 2 favorites are live Madison Square Gardens (1973) Since I’ve Been Loving You. The other is live at Earls Court the May 25,1975 version of In My Time Of Dying. The May 25th date has the best audio & visuals. Everything live from Madison Square Gardens (1973) is excellent. Thank you for your reaction, I look forward to more Led Zeppelin.
Hi Ike - Since you asked, I don't know when I first heard them. I was born in 1964 and I do remember when I got my first LZ album. My sister gave me the cassette tape of what is called Led Zeppelin IV - (Just FYI, the first four albums don't really have names, but they are always referred to as I, II, III, IV). I was in 8th grade and my big present that year was a kick ass boom box. I wore that cassette OUT! Literally. Also realize, they only had a 10-year run and only 9 studio albums. The first 6 albums are all 100% fire - the last three are about 90%, which meant they were still as good as anything else out at the time. But this is when Van Halen, ACDC, The Police and Def Leopard were ruling the rock airwaves.
@@ikeeight8 LOL!!!! You have to remember there as NO digital anything. Everything was analog. Tape recorders of all kinds were a big deal all through the '60's. '70's and early '80's before digital conversion onto a CD became a thing. Reel to reel tape decks were very high-end. My first "stereo" had an 8-track tape player. You couldn't fast forward or rewind 8-tracks. Because you couldn't do this, there was no was to record on an 8-track system. Also, the playback on cassettes was better engineered, in general, compared to 8-tracks. My first CD player in 1985 cost me about $300 and that was the cheapest you could buy! I remember vividly the sales guy telling me "they will never get lower than this..." Vinyl records were the standard, but if you weren't and audiophile with a lot of money, you couldn't really take advantage of that aspect. You can't take albums with you on road trips.
Led Zeppelin was Robert Plant/ vocals, Jimmy Page/ guitar, John Paul Jones/ bass and keyboards, and John ( Bonzo ) Bonham/ drums. Dancing Days is a great song of theirs that doesn’t get enough love 🔥
Considering I was 2 when their first album came out, 57 now I probably heard their first song when I was 2-3 first one I remember was Stairway to Heaven, probably about 5-6.
Man I was born in '72 and heard Led Zeppelin around 1980 for the first time from my friends older brother. This white band from England are the ones who got me into blues and R&B. Crazy how that worked lol. If I'm not listening to reggae, or playing the gym playlist, there's a good chance LZ, Pink Floyd, or R&B is playing. Enjoy the ride with those bands! Headphones are a must going further. Trust me on that lol
the singer is Robert Plant..the gitarist is Jimmy Paige...the drummer is ..John Bonnom..not sure of spelling...they are legendary;;;i was there when they first came out..they were a bit racy at the time🤣🤣🤣too sexy for the time🤣🤣🤣
Led Zeppelin are my GOATS but since you are loving the drums John Bonham is throwing down then check out Ozzy (The Osbournes) with Black Sabbath. Their drummer Bill Ward was friends with John Bonham and both had Jazz based styles. Both are top 5 ever drummers
Thanks for checking out my favorite band since 1969 ❤
The greatest band ever
Led Zeppelin 😊

Well, it is obvious. YOU GET IT! LIFE IS NEVER THE SAME AFTER YOU DISCOVER ZEPPELIN
It's not too late to start from the beginning. And just go by the albums in order
I was 19 when these guys hit the scene in 1969 or '70, it's been so long. Love seeing someone reacting them for the first time.
🤟🏾They been great since the beginning
I was too! Greatest band ever
Alot of babies made to their music.
Greatest band on the planet!

Jimmy Page is from just down the road from me. Epsom, Surrey. 😊

The "girl" in question was the One Ring into which Sauron (the evil one) poured his will and malice.
This song has one of the best, most bad ass bass lines ever in Rock music courtesy of John Paul Jones, LZ’s secret weapon.
❤️🤟🏾
Ten Years Gone is a great Zeppelin track
Noted!🤟🏾
@ikeeight8 another suggestion for ya, totally random but pretty good. "The Fun Lovin' Criminal" by Fun Lovin' Criminals. Check it out

This is actually the lyrical version of "The Lord of the Rings".

Please do OVER THE HILLS FAR AWAY by Led Zepplin next
Say less!🤟🏾
Singers name is Robert Plant, John Paul Jones on bass and keyboards, Jimmy Page on guitar and John Bonham on the drums.
"Golum, the evil one snook up and stole her away from me", Robert is referencing "The lord of the Rings" which he was a big fan of the books.
