There’s no money, no debt, and not a Twitter feed or Instagram profile in sight. No, it’s not the plot of a futuristic movie - but a real community buried deep within the English countryside. Welcome to Darvell, the Sussex village, trapped in time and home to some 300 people - members of the Bruderhof, a radical Christian community. Tonight, a documentary will reveal their secret life and on our sofa today, we get a sneak peek and learn all about life in the mysterious community from two of the group’s most important people - Bernard Hibbs and his wife Rachel.

They seem like happy and sincere people. They seem to value the things that are really important.
found it pretty disrespectful how the hosts kept cutting their guests off mid-sentence...
how exactly are they secret? they have a publicly available website and an instagram page and a youtube channel that is regularly updated and has explanatory videos about their lifestyle. sounds like anti-Christian prejudice to me that is so very common in the british media.
What’s the name of the channel please
@@soniasilva1978 Hi - the main channel is @Bruderhof. There are also channels on Bruderhof music, etc. My favorite channel is @LaurafromtheBruderhof. She is awesome, answers questions from the public, and shows how she and her community live every day. They are extremely open, not secret in the least and they invite visitors to come and see for themselves. They do this in part because they also realize that "they don't know everything - and they want to avoid becoming too narrow in their thinking." The are actually very non-denominational in that respect. They simply believe that we should all living the sermon on the mount in our daily lives as the early Church members did. It's pretty straightforward. Also, they have a publishing house, Plough Publishing, which publishes books and digital materials, etc on Christianity and Bruderhof beliefs in general.
,just watching these good people on iPlayer, and this is it ,it is how we should all be living as Christians, live like yeshua wanted us to live ,I wish the all much peace and happiness.
Wholesome and simple life. Very few distractions and greater focus on
things that matter.
I can see why ppl wouldn't want to be member of this group amd i can see why ppl would want to be a part of it.
As long as ppl are truly free to leave, good on them.
I admire them greatly....
They are not very secret if they have a documentary on BBC1.
The Church of Jesus Christ desperately needs to have this!!!!! People do not want people getting up in their business, but our nation is on the brink of total disaster!!!!!!!
We need one another; no man is an island!!!!!!!!!
It looks good from the outside. Not so good if you live in it!
Its not a 'secret' community
They have to be secret/discrete in the UK unless aristocrats
It's a cult.
And you not invited
