Well that was thrilling. I'm glad you liked my comment . I meant every word. I've not commented on a video before and this video surprised me so. Thank you for you teaching and the time I know it must take to put this all together for strangers.
Hi Susan! I love acrylic inks, so I really enjoyed this -- and I would never have thought to use them this way. And thank you SO MUCH for stressing the importance of improving drawing skills! It really makes you look at things differently when you draw them. C.
crazytenor Wonderful! I’m so glad you liked this. Sometimes I’m not sure why love to experiment so much, but it is truly fun. And sharing with friends like you makes it even better!
A video about how to put together a starter set would be awesome! I love your comments too and much prefer them to just background music. I am not partial to speeded up videos, I guess I am a bit greedy 🙂 I look forward to your new videos every week, I am not a pastel artist but you and Marla have made me very curios and excited about giving them a serious try! Have a great day as well.
@@SusanJenkinsArtist Thank you so much for the fast reply! I have added these inks to my list to get. I'm actually going to be painting miniatures and glazing the inks over zenithal highlights carefully. Loved that color result! Art is such a wonderful thing!
So beautiful!! You always do so well!! I’m visiting Siesta Keys in July (I know, why in July!) but I was wondering about the Mount Vision facility and seeing about a stop there. Can you direct me to more information?? (I’d absolutely LOVE to meet you in person as well!). Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us!!
I’ve never tried painting with an under painting with pastels, I am tommorrow , as I may notihave another day, we’ll see if I don’t. Wake up dead I’ll be doing this gold I’ll post in the fb group or on patreon
How do Daler Rowney acrylic inks compare to Liquitex? Can anyone comment? Would Dr. Ph Martin's Bombay inks work similarly? I thoroughly appreciate your inventive styles!
😂 It’s the gift that keeps on giving! Thanks for this lesson!
From Western Australia.
Glad you enjoyed it!💜❤️☺️
That little painting of the sea coast was really pretty. I can’t believe how small it was !

I love that you introduced that technique with the acrylic inks. Until now I couldn't justify buying them...now I can! Lol

Can you use vodka instead of isopropyl alcohol. Thanks
What kind of brush should I use soft like watercolor or stiff like oils
What color was the red and then that yellow you used in the bottom left? Absolutely loved the color you got out of it.
FSDraconis The red is Crimson and the yellow is Indian yellow. I love playing around with these inks and mixing colors!

I hope you got to give it a try Deborah!
Maybe a large turkey baster may help with the alcohol, tfs your process.
I always prefer the talking to music.

Don’t squeeze the bottle
I avoid alcohol. It fades over time.
Thanks for that info… I didn’t know that. But it’s probably because I cover up much of my under painting anyway.
