I always wondered how you created those custom shape brushes. Great video!
Thank you! Cheers!
Dont work
@@ummmikail2309 yes it doesn’t work for me too
@@ummmikail2309 it does
Same 😢
i reckon they should just have a pixel brush as a feature. it seems like a hassle to have to do this
Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Technical pen can do this
It’s fun tho! You learn to create your own customized brushes and stamps. I agree it can be annoying at times. But procreate just gives the basics and tools to customize so that we make it our own.
@@SvanhildrG when i originally commented that i had never used procreate i just saw this video and it looked pretty overwhelming. but about a month ago I got procreate and i have been using it every day since, its a great app and the brush customisation is really cool. i still think a pixel brush would be a good thing to have by default but making brushes is also very fun and i think its good that people have to experiment and create their own brushes rather then procreate already having it all by default.
OH MY GOD THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THANK YOU! PLEASE KEEP SHARING THAT
SAME LMAO
The timing of this short interns of editing phase is really good. I am able to follow you unlike other tutorial shorts out there. Kudos!
I tried it but it was just a pencil instead of a pixel brush when I set it on a regular size
I had the same problem! It was because my canvas was too big so I set to 30x30. Try making a smaller canvas
Thank you been waiting for someone to fully explain this. Omg your the best
My pleasure 😃
You are so generous to share everything. I love you!!!❤
Syrup on the 1% is pixel too
Thank you sooo much! I was dealing with blur for so long but now it's fixed!!
Thank you!! ❤
I love you and this channel, please dont stop. I have learned so much and your follow along tutorials are so fun, thank you !
I can't figure out custom brush settings to save my life. Awesome stuff, thank you!
This didn’t work out for me, is there any specific things that you are supposed to do that will make this work?
I’m guessing you are working on a larger canvas, here’s the fix, do exactly what she did but this time around make it a 10 x 10 pixel (instead of 1x1) click on brush properties and set maximum size to 49% or so ,then go to stroke path and set spacing to 57% you can tweak these 2 settings to het exactly what you want.
@@inkrebel. or you could work in a 50x50 canvas
@@ashrre. then you'd have to export and stretch it in an external editor. When I was working in photoshop primarily, I'd use a 512x512 canvas and use a 4px brush. Same effect, no need to stretch.
It didnt work with me but i solved it by turning spacing all the way up then i messed with the maximum size.
I fixed it by bringing the maximum size up to the largest I wanted my pixels and then adjusted the spacing so that the pixels overlapped a bit but honestly play around the spacing until u find ur medium
I’ve been using Procreate for a year and loving it and I was today years old when I learned you could make your own brushes (somehow I just never noticed). Thank you for this. Now I can do more kinds of art.
Thank you so much
You are the beeest. Your energy and positivity is what everyone needs in their lives. Thank you
That's so sweet, thank you!
Thank you for helping me!
Wow thank you
Thanks! I’ve been wondering how to do this for awhile and I finally got a clear answer :D
I love your videos. I learned so much on Procreate because of you
Thanks for this! Was very helpful :)
edit: also the drag down with 3 fingers to open up a sub-menu is something I had completely forgotten about- thanks again!
Thanks for this tutorial.
Wow. This worked. I’ve been looking for like hours and finally found a video that works for me. Thank you so much
This is very helpful
Got to be honest this basically just made me cry I have been looking for a free pixel brush for a hour
Thankyou so much this works so perfect!!
THANK YOU😊! You are so inspiring, often this kind of stuff is gatekept hidden
HAPPY WORLD ARTIST DAY ! 😎😉😘🎨🖌✏🖍🖊🖋🖥🖱📷✍🏻🕶
Good artists turn that energy into something beautiful. They use it to fuel their creativity and make work that resonates with others. Anyone can be an artist, but you can recognize a great artist by how their work makes others feel. Art at its core should make you feel something.
Wishing a very Happy World Art Day.”
You have to be sensitive to be an artist.
We all are gifted with some form of art.
We all are gifted with some kind of creativity. We just need to explore it.
When work and love meet, art is born.
Happy World Art Day.”
Its nice just wish i could make the brush size bigger for larger images in 1080p for example
I know this comment is a year old, but just for the sake of it; don’t reduce the maximum size under properties and you should be able to adjust the size using the slider as normal.
Sadly it didnt work for me :( i did all the things right
Thank you!
😭😭😭 THANK YOU SO MICJ MY HERO. I WILL FINALLY LEARN HOW TO DO THIS
THANK YOU!
It looked very nice thank you for the tutorial
My pleasure!
Incredible like always
The combination of the done button and the background... OH GOD
I wanted to do that too!
So cool!!!!!!
there's a lot of pixel brush tuto, can you teach us how to create dithering brushes for pixel art please
Great 👍. I will trying learn
If your brush looks off try to play around with the spacing
Loved your tutorial as always 🥰🤩
I wanted to do is 😀
Thanks for it
Most welcome 😊 Creating pixel art is super fun!
Is there any way to make the pixel brush larger while also maintaining the snap of the pixel so that it doesn’t turn into a stoke line and keeps the jagged edges ? Thank you
hi! did you get your answer already? I resized mine by changing the maximum size (in Properties) and spacing (in Stroke Path). It worked well, even on large canvases 😊
@@red_jeanie Excellent tip! I did as you said and it worked perfectly! ^_^ Thank you!
@@red_jeanieThank you as well! I had the same question
I was having trouble as well, your comment helped me! :) THANK YOU🙏🏾
This is a good idea, but if you are ONLY creating a piece of art with locked pixel grids, just change the size to very small
Best girl
im pretty sure you can do it in a much easier way by literally just making the canvas small and then zooming in.
I love you for this
Excellent💯👍👏
Thank you
Hi Flo, thanks for yet another great tutorial. I’ve tried to follow your instructions but when I get to the stage where we go to the brush studio and click ‘edit’ I am unable to proceed. My Procreate doesn’t show the edit button when you click on shape, any idea how I get around this? I’m using an iPad Pro in case that matters 😊
Perhaps you need to rotate your iPad 🤷♀️
Thanks so much that’s exactly what I needed to do 😂 thanks for responding so quickly too. Have a great day
Just make a like 26x45 canvas or somthing and turn the mono line brush size all the way down
Pov:- You don't even have procreate but still watching
This "done" button reminders me of something else 🤔
Yeah I totally understand that
My savior
Great tutorial, but missing some KEY information - chiefly, the size of the canvas to use once you have this brush created. I had to change the size of my canvas to 100 x 100 pixels for it to have that pixel look, but is that ideal???
I found that 20 by 20 pixels works pretty well! Maybe if you want to use a bigger canvas, then create a slightly bigger brush??
Thanks! this what I was looking for!
@@jovieofisa5378I used 50 by 50, worked really well
great thank you
TYSMMM OMGGGGGGGGG
I actually got upset by the 1% smudge
Thanks
👍
Great video thank you but I’m just wondering if I would have to change my settings back to get normal drawing or was that the settings for the new pen?
That was for a new pen. Aslong as you click the little plus sign like they did in the video.
Thanks @@adianer6445
Best thank you
Too easy!
Bruh I wish we could have some of the procreate features on ibis paint or procreate could just come to android :(
How can i put a grid? Because I like to use it with a grid for counting
Can you please say what canvas u used to make those cherries?
Even though I don’t use procreate and my drawings look like vomit, I still like these vids
I cannot increase the size of the brush, why is that?
Thank you so much, short and useful
Glad it helped!
Twss
FINALLY I did it…
Hey this doesn’t work for me I followed the steps but it’s just a normal small brush with a square like shape
Same
@K.K. Crossing thanks it helped
@K.K. Crossing even though I’ve figured it out and even switched to traditional art.. I’m still glad you replied, the thought counts 😊
If it doesnt work, just use mono line, go to the lowest size and just tap the pixels individually
hii can u pls do a #shorts of how to make brushes like the freebies ones !! , that would be great .
mine still spreads out extra pixels, it will place 4 pixels when directly trying to do one with those exact settings
Same
Yeah me too
Mine just fills the entire canvas. Even if the canvas size is 100 pixel X 100 pixel lol and I followed along with the video 😳
Same
@@katcoe1079try doing 64x64
Good ❤️
Is procreate an app to download or does it come with the tablet?
It’s an app
Vlw thank you
When I click paste in the shape settings, the brush stays round instead of pasting the square pixel. What do I do?
SAME WHAT DID YOU DO?
Very pog
What tablet are u using?
What th...? How did you discover how to make this cool brush, especially after tweaking all those settings?? No wonder you're my idol
Which ipad do you use
I don't have the paste option I only have import
Rotate your iPad and then do it.
Click import then click paste
Do I need like a 32 x 32 canvas?
When using this brush sometimes it does the pixel a shade or two lighter randomly, is there a way to stop this? Did I miss a setting?
if you go onto the “properties” menu while editing the brush, scroll down to minimum opacity and set it to max, it should fix it !
@@Jack_Dawlia that did nothing you liar
Is it supposed to come out really tiny?
Just a quick question are brushes in procreate free or some are free and some need to be bought?
All the brushes that come with Procreate are free, but you can buy extra brushes from creators but you can also find a whole bunch of free brushes online. Like mine at freefromflo.com
Using which tab
What version of ipad is it?
Which software is this
0:20
Omg thank u so much! I watched another tutorial and it flopped but this was short and simple. Thank u!!
Me with my ibis paint: oh nice to know
There should be a special course for teaching about procreat😂
What the name of the app?
Love it ❤️ now I can make my own pixelart 😊
Thanks! Have fun 😃
What's the name of this app
Can you do it without an Apple Pencil and with a phone.
I’m pretty sure it works on all devices
