Great points on the advantages of the underwater camera! No other way to find the green weed vs. dead weeds. So cool to watch too!
I exclusively use my camera when fishing.. I use my locator to bring the camera to the depth of my jig then all camera.. I catch way more fish with the camera.. it also lets me see what actions turn em on so they bite.. finally it’s interesting to see all that goes on down there.. great video!
Thanks for the needle nose tip with anchors! I’m impressed
Very cool, I like the cam action. Lots better then just watching you pull'em out, nice to see them hit. I was out last week by the RW dam and did pretty good for the Wallys and Saugies. I know all but a few of us are on the hard water but I love the thrill of casting and feeling that "thump". Keep'm coming.
Was up that way this past weekend, that cold front came in and really slowed 'em down..
Love your philosophy on not throwing something away that's broken.love the videos. Thanks for sharing
😁
Thanks for the underwater camera view.......love it!!
I’ve used a camera walleye fishing in depths of 20-30 ft deep. It’s surprising how much light penetrates that deep. Camera fishing is definitely fun. Great video.
I’m looking forward to trying the camera in different bodies of water for different species
I finally got an attachment for my drill to drive in the anchors for my hub shelter. I know it's another thing to take out with you, but man is that nice. Eskimo.
Camera video is pretty cool and informative keep ‘em coming very exciting can’t wait for next outing thanks for doing what you do.
Another great video!
Thanks
Thank you Robert!
Thx for the anchor tip. I too have struggled, just when I think I got it a chunk of ice breaks off. Using a drill this year (way better).
Using a drill is slick. If you don’t have one this method works pretty good.
I’m not a camera guy but you sure make it look interesting!
Enjoyed and learned from this video. Thank you for sharing. With archery and the rut in full swing ice is not that far off. BEST AND PEACE
I'm watching the weather now...it should be too long.
Thanks Lance, I enjoyed the u-w shots! I've found that the u-w camera is really worthwhile when you are going to sit in a shack for a while. If you are hole-hopping, then it is too much to manage. Then I just like the Vexilar. But I do often use the camera to see what is down there (like you described) and to just see if there are any (many) fish around. I agree completely, it is entertaining and makes the fishing interesting. Thanks for sharing!
Oh, I also use a 1/4 inch drill bit to predrill the anchor holes. I like your tip of using the pliers for those days when I forget the bit.
Thanks again, Dave
I agree. For hole hopping the camera is not ideal but while camping over fish it’s a blast!
Fun video, good job!
I will give the anchor tip a go. I bent one over the weekend trying to get it to bite. Half a mind just to throw them down the dang ice hole!
Lol! I’ve been there
I just got a camera this year. It’s the aqua view stealth. I fish the backwaters of the Mississippi in Eastern Iowa so the water clarity leaves a little to be desired but you can still see the fish. I was fishing a slough area yesterday that had seemed to have a slight current flowing through it and it was loaded with just about every species of panfish!
Sounds like a fun spot to fish!
Loved the underwater camera. Looking forward to more of that. Can you give insight into your favorite tungsten jig or any jig for that matter? I find it critical that they hang horizontally. Just bought a new one that doesn't have good balance even though I make sure the line is adjusted on the eyelet to try and get it to hang right. Again, thanks for the video.
I’ve been using the VMC Tungsten Tubby jig. I like the size of the hook for crappie, bluegill and perch
What exactly model of underwater camera you buy?
Aqua Vu HD7i Pro
Are those the same boots you wear when fishing with no shack? What kind are they? Love the videos!
Muck Artic Pro. I use them for all ice fishing.
I might know a place or 5 that you could really put that thing to use! Let me know if you want to get out!
😁I’m in
To much noise
I prefer to fish where its quiet as well.
Stop jigging so much. Winter fish are lazy. Once they see it let it sit.
My brain s programmed to keep jiggling
My FIL uses his camera, and by the time he reacts; the fish has either picked him clean or spit the plastics..🫣😅
That's funny!
