I did a roll on product 12 years ago that has done well. One suggestion is to remove tailgate and apply after removing access panel in case you need to get to latch system later on (install lock). Good vid.
Good man, most people dont use etch primer, does not matter if rust is present, you need a good surface for the bedliner to soak into. De grease is super important!
Self etch is for bare metal spots not rust. High build is for bodyfiller or larger scratches it's not meant to be placed on bare metal. Self etch has to be primed or sealed. Primer has to be scuff or sanded before top coat.
I just wanna tell ya that I also bought a kit or two and did my entire 2000 Durango. Did myself and was the first time I had ever attempted. I'm pleased with the result. Like your videos thanks
I have a red GMC Sierra with the duramax in it, crew cab long bed. This liner looks so good I am tempted to do it on my truck. Great job great video amigo, thanks for sharing!
Damn that looks pretty good! Im studying doing the same thing on my 2010 Dodge Cummins 2500. I want to wrap it over the bedrails like you did to hide where a topper chafed the paint on the outside edge. Nice video. I subscribed btw! :)
My Rhino Bed Liner was put on by a Professional company that used Rhino Bed Liner. My puck up is 2000 Silverado It had not cracked no peeled nor wear off any where in my bed. Its like concert hard. I have thrown heavy things in there, and it never has cracked. It will out last the pick up truck
Don’t let the haters stop you! You’ll get better at editing and selecting music as you practice more and more! I cringe at some of my earliest videos but I’m proud of my more recent ones! Pick a style you like to watch and try to emulate it! (How’s that for a “poor tip”?) I subbed and rang the bell. Looking forward to seeing your next video! 👍🏼
Rocketvince 13 I have a rust spot on the bottom of the front fender and I intend on making a video on fixing it then raptor lining from that lower body line down 🤙
charredskeleton pretty good! Not as tough as line X obviously as it is much thinner but has a couple chips here and there but overall held up great for how much I've beat up my bed!
Eric Bauer for the frame I recommend you look into "por 15" that stuff is awesome and you will spend less money. You could get the smallest one they sell which I believe is a pint and it goes a LONG ways. That stuff is insane and hardly any prep work if your frame isn't painted. You don't have to sand the rust or anything. Only downside to por 15 is it cannot be exposed to the sun. But on an undercarriage that doesn't matter
if my car is mainly made of plastic and don't want to take apart the car into pieces and sanding might not be ideal in hard to reach places, can I use just the epoxy adhesion promoter before I spray the raptor liner?
Question, had to have tailgate replaced, getting the roll on kit for it; off I have some left over can it be rolled over the older Raptor Liner on the bed, had a few thin spots from when I had it sprayed in.
Raptor liner is decent but not nearly as good as line-x. We spray quick liner and it is way better than raptor liner but line-x is by far the best no comparison.
Tbh I use plastic bed liners it's way easier if you get a super this bed liner your bed will basically almost never see any damage if you ever take the plastic bed liner off there 9 out of 10 times will never be damage
sarutobi191 thank you! And raptor liner is the best looking bed liner I've seen. I plan on making a review video on how it looks and held up so far. It does not look exactly like it does wet. But it is still gloss black and looks great! Highly recommend it! User friendly and durable! Thanks for watching and commenting!
i know you said you didnt use the filler primer, but wouldnt it make sense to use the self etch first to penetrate the metal and then use the filler and sand "smooth" before painting???? you have the order fill>etch>paint. you cant etch the metal if its already covered in filler...
i have the same truck but 01 and the whole truck is done in raptor liner and i have a company called raptorliner bedliners down here in Florida its a great product u gota try the tintable
TheDomain16 you are correct. Line X is by far the best. This is more of a budget alternative. Here line X is 750 for a short box and this cost less than 150
Line X is great, cost me $525 for my 5-1/2" F150 back in 2011. If I had a beater, it's not worth that kind of coin. Planning to do an entire Suzuki Sidekick inside & out with tinted Raptor in the spring.
@@jdub229r Wow the price has really gone up since I had mine done. I had my 1999 GMC done in 2002. Cost was $299. Still looks as good today as when it was first done. Best money ever spent on my truck.
Abraham Rios pretty well! Few chip from just throwing stuff in there like a generator but that's kinda to be expected. I will have an update video out soon to show you and give my honest opinion :)
SuperGonggong no problem man thanks for watching! I will be putting out update videos too on how I like it and any damage done to it. The first update video will be hopefully out within the next week and many more to come
The music didn’t annoy me until it was so loud I could barely hear you talking and had to crank it up. Not sure why so many UA-camrs will talk so quite and then have the music so loud. I realize this is a first video for you, but something to keep in mind. Also agree on a very good presentation!
Joey ONeal yep on the other sections I adjusted the volume of the music down when I put it into my editing software and after researching it while it was already posted I forgot to turn down the volume on the last section of background music. Thanks for watching and for the feedback tho! :)
@@turtle2448thomas a real bedliner is an actual bedliner not spray paint.you can find them on Craigslist offer up let it go facebook market place for about $40 bucks and it would have covered all the dents and damage on wheel wells
@@frankplancarte Those flimsy plastic things? No thanks. Everything slides really easy, they rattle and they'll hid moisture between the plastic bottom and the bed floor eventually leading to rust. I'd much rather have a spray on liner that will prohibit rust, deaden sound, and prevent things from sliding around.
@@turtle2448thomas well I have one on my dodge ram and its not flimsy doesnt have moisture in between causing rust and doesnt rattle.just saying you're goimg to spend 3x the money with this paint. And its going to look crappy
It has turned from a tar black to a dark gray over 23 years! Nice Job 👍 I hope you get the wear out of it, like my is doing ! Happy Holidays

A great job of teaching Sir, I have now seen many bed liner video and believe your the best advice and explained
Thanks for showing,Sir
Great video, pro tip; that music is terrible
Reubs thanks. And ya I need to find some actually good non copyright music...
😥😅😂🤣🤣👍
Thumbs up, I'd like to see how it's endured use and winter. Those bells though (the music).
Winter on it was fine however it did not hold up overly well to sliding heavy objects in the bed

Came out good
How’s the durability on this stuff I’ve been thinking about doing my bed and rocker panels for a while
It's been almost a year how has the bed liner held up?
It american. So it's shit
The liner is still good.
But since it's a Dodge, the truck died. 🤣
Good vid. Sea sick. Tripod man.
good vid dude. earned my subscription
Good Job
How does it look now three years later? I need it for camping in Holland a little bit of wood is this liner tough enough
Question, had to have tailgate replaced, getting the roll on kit for it; off I have some left over can it be rolled over the older Raptor Liner on the bed, had a few thin spots from when I had it sprayed in.
Use wax and grease remover before spraying.
I preferred the one from harbor freight is a lot cheaper and works fine.
How long did you wait between coats and how did you keep your paint gun from gumming up during the time between coats?

Does it stay looking wet like that, or "dry up" to a more flat even look after awhile? Nice job, by the way, very good video

How is the bed liner holding up after 3 years ???
You should do a walk around of your pickup

REDS_GARAGE i cannot remember where in the settings it is but if you verify your account with email, you can do it.
Any update?
Did you ever make an update video how was the liner holding I have a cargo van
Matt Fayette never got around to it. Work too much. It’s an alright Bedliner. Prep is key but nothing beats line x
Can you post a link to the female fitting?
Let's take a ride in that 359.
Sinister.Shelby which one? 😏 Might make a video on the one with a new motor. I believe it's a 440 horse with straight stacks 🤙
Brayden Aurich I like the one outside with 359 stripes. Cummins big cam? 15 speed?
I'm imagining your talking about the purple one. I don't know that much about it but it's a cat 440 horse I believe with an 18 speed
Where is the new video?
Parker Jessen editing it as we speak. Will be up tomorrow! Got caught up in my last year of school and sports
Any updates on the truck?
Sissy socks!
Hi question how well did it hold up thinking of doing the same thing
Someone did a year comparison on UA-cam, it still looked phenomenal
how is the paint holding up?

How thick did it end up being?
gregory9740 been meaning to make a follow-up video. Not very thick. I'd recommend doing 2 full kits if you use your bed Alot like me
Good video but the background music is way to loud and drowns you out. Thanks
Your supposed to spray it like a foot away
Song at 3:50 ?
should i use primer? necessary?
SuperGonggong only on spots of bare metal. If it's going over paint your fine
Brayden Aurich ok, I'm grinding the entire thing down to metal. Sooooo I should prime the whole thing?
SuperGonggong yes sir. Self etching primer on the whole thing
Brayden Aurich aha will do. Thank you!
SuperGonggong no problem man thanks for watching! I will be putting out update videos too on how I like it and any damage done to it. The first update video will be hopefully out within the next week and many more to come

No update video...it must be F$$!# up by now
This isn’t even a little competition to LINE-X.
Is that Cummings a Diesel
OMINDZ fuckin right 😉😂
12 valve?
Its a fuckin Cummins you toilet
I like the 12 valve multi fuel cummins
OMINDZ you ran out of turn signal fluid?
The bed liner had to cost more than the truck is worth.
Great video but that music was horrible and not necessary it made it hard to hear you talk and it's literally in every single you tube video.
Reo White thanks for the feedback. I realise that and will continue to improve as I start making new videos shortly 🤙
awesome presentation!
terrible suck ass annoying music at the end
