  • !!Disclaimer!! I am aware that the bare metal should be covered with etching primer I understand that was my mistake but on your personal vehicles make sure you cover any bare metal surfaces with primer before applying the liner. This truck probably will not be out doors much so I’m not worried about the bonding and metal rusting. Anything that will be outside in the elements I highly suggest to prime any metal surfaces.
How to spray on U-POL Raptor bedliner without a problem, quick how-to. I show you some tips and tricks to get the perfect look.

You just keep going after each bottle, but don’t add the hardener to all bottles at once because by the time you get to the third and fourth bottle they might be hard. So do each one at a time.

As a retired shipyard painter, the proper PSI would be between 40- 60 psi depending on the viscosity of the substrate...many high build products use as high as 70 psi , depending on applications.....And wear a respirator...even outdoors, the fumes can be dangerous to your lungs....

80 grit!?!? You didn't need to literally "grind" the paint down to bare metal, just a good scuffing with 220 grit or a course scotchbrite pad would of been all that's needed. Spots that were ground down to bare metal should of had a coat of etching primer applied before the liner was sprayed on.
You shoulda brought the bedliner up over and onto the top of the bedrail so that was protected also. I guess that's personal preference though. :)

Please don’t mislead people when you clearly have no idea of what you’re doing. Didn’t have to take it down to bare metal, and DEFINIETLY shouldn’t have sprayed raptor directly on bare metal. If you for some reason like rust or bad previous paint have to take it down to bare metal, use a good primer like some 2k epoxy first. Also sprayed at way too close of a distance
