    Ive just bought one service history states track rod ends done about every 2 years since 2008

    nice job ,like it.. just adding to remove stuck ball joint lock nut there's a hex-key space on the top of the bolt used to stop the bolt from spinning while untying the nut

    Hi. Good video. When you ‘loosened’ the nut on the inner tie rod, the actual nut didn’t move - the inner tie rod moved with the nut. I did mine yesterday - hence I noticed the same happening to you. I did loosen my nut eventually by having a spanner on the inner tie rod and I jacked up my adjustable wrench on the actual nut to release it. Just adding this for information. But a great video.

      Aye yes it only cracks loose and when you tighten it back it goes back to where it was before but you are 100% correct it winds in the inner rack a touch, on most steering racks there is a hex on the inside that you can grab and move the nut as required. I didnt explain that properly so I'm glad you left a comment thanks a lot! 😁

    Hi brill video. Iv tried to change outer tie rods in the past that jam nut is a nightmare. Definitly going to invest in them crow feet
