I had been playing another tank warfare game and about a 3 year gap when I started playing this less than a month ago. I discovered I have the same problem here that I had when I picked up the other game in 2014.I'm sure you al have heard the term repetition, repetition, repetition. I spent 15b years in the armored cavalry hunting these beast's and as TC of an M-151 Sheridan Air droppable light tank w/153 mm snub cannon.What has and still tends to dog me is with the exception of a large assault formation, every movement to contact in a 7-10 vehicle platoon once the objective was a couple of miles out and assuming that no one had detected your presence, half of the platoon would take a position of cover spread out in a staggered line , in the best concealed position available, but maintaining a visual to the crew on you left and right and a clear view in the direction of objective. What is called camping, in the profession of armored combat is called over watch, which was Sop when ever an open space had to be traversed. That other half sprints across the open space in staggered line with left and right vehicles covering the flank, the 3 in between with guns to the direction of travel and the second group in back watching over the top of the sprinting pigs. once the sprinters hit the wood line or other sources of concealment and set up so that the front flanks and the rear looking back at in the direction from which the other half of the platoon is now racing. That group will ass through the over watch positions and the leap frogging will continue or be executed differently if terrain dictates or contact is made. I know, do F--king what, but it is funny how method of tactical movement drilled into you years ago can years later still compel me in a lousy game to behave that way, Obviously in the computer generated world, nobody does that and it tends to screw me up at times and the others. It has even pissed some people off enough to leave 6 or 7 really vitriolic messages (one individual) Some of the words he used to describe what he thought I was made me wonder if he didn't know my ex.
22k battles 60% avg 1550 dmg game , since 2014 . Always looking to improve . Still get called a noob about every 15 games or so , nearly all are 40%rs.. my advice ignore any player raging . But in saying that I’ve raged myself when lost 15 out of 20
Knocked out players should really be excluded from chat. That would cut out a lot of idiotic commentary from people who don’t understand what each type of tanks are actually meant for. TD drivers being called “camper” because they’re playing their tank correctly, and not just galloping in a straight line towards base, or red spawn, for example. Also, players should have to complete a set number of games before progressing to the next tier, or raise the amount of XP required to buy the next tank. It would improve the game, imo
Over half of the players don't care about learning the game. That's why you see players with a Tier 9 tank and 500 battles with a 40%WR. They pick one line and haul ass to tier X. I wish WG would put XVM in the game so I know who to help and who NOT to waste my time helping. Also knowing what days and times to play helps as well, it reduces your chances of getting team after team of mouthbreathers. AND DON'T always follow directions from others in chat....you will end up following the moron with 35%WR in his KV-1 and 85 total battles. Beware of Premium noobs too, the ones in an IS-6 and 10 games. BUT YOU'LL NEVER KNOW UNTIL AFTER THE GAME.
That reminds me of when a kv-1 started talking trash about every other guy on my team and then when he was the only one left on the team, he got recked by an M3 Lee
MiloTheSwift winrate means nothing. You can be a great player and have a terrible winrate. You need to look at average damage before you judge players. I do thousands of damage per battle but still have a 43% winrate.
will boeez you can probably earn lots of damage per battle just by sniping where you are not suppose to according to the tanks and without helping your team, winrate is also important cause it shows how you help you team win together

I think the 5k to 7k battle range is the "awakening". At first you think that you better rush to tier 10 because they must be magical tanks. But the reality is that these tanks are all fairly evenly balanced and that it has very little to do with the tank but a lot more to do with how you play the tank. I believe that video is over a year old. but some very good ideas to help get better. probably could use an update. Please send me as many subs as you can. lol. My new goal is to get contributor content status with WG so that I can test some of these tanks before they make it into the game.
I wish I had some of this knowledge when I started playing about a month ago. Now, at a little more than 1200 games played. Everything you talked about I learned the hard way. A couple of the biggest things I learned was to never jump to higher tiers that are beyond your ability. And definitely join a good clan.Had I known this. Maybe I wouldn't have a 42% win rate. A five minute FAM course and then you get thrown into Tier one. I know they need players but damn. You do a hundred games getting blown up hung out in the open before you learn how to turn well enough to get in any kind of decent position.
I agree with most of what you said, but am having trouble swallowing the whole "Follow the instruction at the beginning of the game, even if you don't like it. If it doesn't match your type of tank, drive a different tank.' Just can't get behind that. Somebody who DOES suck calls out a stupid initial direction that will drag the entire team, regardless of its composition into their favorite spot, and the rest of the team should just go along? No -- you have a voice. If you disagree with the call, propose something else. Call out why. (We have 4 TDs, so let's not attack their spawn.)

Carry harder, dude. You are correct, you can’t control the six other teammates. But for starters you can always improve your game play. WR is a huge indicator of your ability to carry games that you might have otherwise lost because of bad teamates.

There are plenty of good youtube channels to get top tier tank reviews. My take is that not enough players are mastering the early skills required to be good at all tiers. Thus, I am focusing on the newer, less experienced players who typically don't have upper tier tanks. If you notice, my reviews are slowly going up from Tier 1 to where I'm at now, which is Tier 5.
People say i camp because im using a VK 30.01 H and its a big hunk of metal with a gun but i snipe with it because you cant turn with it, cant go that fast and when i say i need help my team runs away from me even when they are right there :(

i think im always ready for a higher tier tank bc i was on a new account a few weeks ago and got a vk something h tier vi heavy tank in 3 days i was just bouncing side scrapping and did 1k dmg although i was defeated it was a great play for a rushed tank that was also stock the next one i won doing almost the same thing

I hate all td's... Not fun that These often pen my IS-8 top turret with AP, 640 dmg, makes you losing the Motivation.
