Been riding for many years. Bought my Scout in 2020. I now have 9k miles on it and still puts that shit eating grin on my face. Something special about all the Indians.
For the FTR series i like the screen display but on the scout bobber which i still want I definitely prefer the analog clocks. It fits the design better for me.
Love the direction Indian is going and if I had the money I’d definitely get the Indian Springfield Dark Horse. Love the look of it! Maybe I’ll get to test ride one some day, I haven’t rode an Indian Motorcycle yet, but I really want to.
Great review, just bought my first Indian and my new Rogue is due to arrive in the next few weeks, ride steady and stay safe all.
Glad I got the 22 FTR R Carbon. Came with a better exhaust stock than the 23 model. I do like the look of the new FTR Sport though.

If you like a smoke paint job, to me, i prefer the CVO paint job coming out of Harley. Indian hasn't mastered paint the way Harley has which is why they are doing so many smoke paint jobs, it hides flaws

No joke Kyle! Harley needs to stick to what they’re good at and stop all this nonsense…..imo Harley is scrambling to play catch-up with every move Indian makes but it’s showing and not in a good way. I believe Indian is about to do a couple real pivotal moves that are gonna finally set them waaaaaaaay apart from “the wanna be HD” category some have put them in……I’m working on a vid about my projections about what’s up and coming……here’s a hint…..Polaris specializes in off road right????? I mean seriously they can put together probably arguably one of the BEST Adv bikes imaginable and don’t be surprised to see a line of dirt bikes soon………. And have you watched the most recent vid from Laidlaws Podcast about the NIGHTSTER????…….it feels soooo forced that they are trying so hard to act excited about that bike!!! Yikes……our local HD dealer just opened an Indian dealer right across the parking lot if that tells you anything……My personal opinion is they are trying to make sure they’re eggs aren’t all in the same basket in case Humpty Dumpty Hd takes a great fall if ya catch my drift!… and just so everyone knows I actually like HD a lot so this isn’t coming from a perspective of hating HD 😊

I think you did a great job explaining the line up. I like the Challenger it is simular to the HD Road Glide but there is one thing different I like that Indian did, they put the gages out and brought the infotainment closer to the rider where as HD is opposite and not good for a 5'8" rider such as myself. The Challeger is actually my favorite, no need to do a video. There is a dealer close to me near Myrtle Beach. Have a Great Holiday!

Both the Springfield classic and Road master classic need to be left as is. We older riders appreciate the valanced fenders, leather and chrome amenities all which give a nod to the past.

Nice review, I demo rode the Pursuit and Challenger. Awesome bikes and I liked them better than a 2019 Goldwing I had.
I went back to a Honda Africa twin.
With the ADVENTURE bike market growing so fast why hasn't Indian got into it ? Even HD is building a decent ADV bike.
Beautiful Motorcycle
I’ve been on a 2006 Yamaha Stratoliner S for 9 years. It’s a bagger with the 113 air cooled 5 speed. Slightly under 100 horsepower and 124 ft lbs of torque (I think). It’s Darksided for the past 2 years… I’m starting to daydream about a new Indian… gotta finish paying off an RV loan first though…

Was going to buy a bobber here in nz but Indian couldn’t supply for almost 6 months so I bought a Ducati instead. Best decision I made.

I'm waiting for Indian to drop an ADV. It needs to be lighter and more entry level than the Harley Pan Am.
The aftermarket is where you gotta go to trick out a 2022 Chief. Indian dropped the ball on in-house mods. Yes, it can be made into a touring bike while keeping the new modern look. Besides floorboards and highway guards, my mods are all 3rd party: Dean's Speed, Ends Couio, Corbin seats, numerous places for exhaust (including Dean's), Memphis Shades and other windshield makers (also fork fairings), etc. Indian even discontinued their stage 1 exhaust slip-ons.
Awesome! So do the memphis shades products made for the scout fit the chief as well? I noticed they didn't produce anything specifically for the chief
@Tom Oates As for the upper fork fairings, last I saw, Memphis had some in clear and black for the 2022 Chief. They had at least one kind of windshield that can be swapped out with the Indian-made quick-release brackets. I can't remember the other windshield company (lost ALL my bookmarks when I got a new phone), it's a small operation, but they make a bunch of different-sized windshields for numerous Victory and Indian bikes; including the '22 Chief.
WitchDoctor out of Warren County, Ohio is a great resource as well. If they don't have something in their warehouse, they're pretty good at finding it for you!
What I see with a lot of aftermarket companies is that they are very slow to update their websites. These companies typically stop at 2021 for the model year. But, when you call company X, Y, or Z they will tell you if parts A, B, or C fit the 2022 Chief. It's a bit frustrating that way, but at least these mods are out there.

Hey Ricky, I enjoyed your video. Please encourage Indian to do more development on the Springfield, like a mini crashbar(mustache style), I think it would look better than full size.
Agreed with your thoughts on what is missing on the Scout. I waited to hear what's new and still nothing... will go ahead with a Rebel 1100 instead.

Leave the Springfield gauge cluster alone, you get that touchscreen with plenty of other models.

I like the lineup for sure. I love the looks of the Chief, but didn’t really like the ride for my style (more long distance). I am thinking a Challenger, but cannot find anywhere that has one I can test ride.

Disappointed in no upgraded Scout 69 motor ., no Electronic cruise , no bigger tank, no hard bags!
Will look at Rebel 1100 Touring.
Was hoping for a PowerPlus motor in a Sport power cruiser that handles. Think Yamaha Warrior aluminum frame , Indian styling and the PowerPlus or the FTR motor in a smaller standard.
Was looking to get back into Indian but not the large cruisers again. Been dere Done Dat!

@@RickyNotSoMartin My 74 yo. Brother has a Scout 69 . He started riding motorcycles at the young age of 70 years old he has the stock scout seat and rode with me from South Louisiana to Canada without one complaint.

Currently purchasing an Indian Scout but really disappointed no fuel guage. Chief Darkhorse had everything I wanted but just didn't feel very nice to ride compared to the scout.
I like indian. I hope to get one one day. The FTR maybe. If I could ever get any help at the dealership I mean. I did end end up buying a ZX10R from another dealership because I got some help. I guess you have to have an Australian accent or something to get notice?
Too bad they couldn't have made a 2023 Indian scout bobber 20 rogue... Something with a 19 inch chrome spoke front wheel, 12 in apes and a nice seat to finish it off.
Dumping my Harley after the Budweiser crap and this is an anxious choice.

If the 2022 model comes in the color you’re interested in, I would say go for it! Check if you can land a deal since it’s a previous model year.

Well, not much in changes to this year, except the Polaris painting team is showing their new colors.
I am keen on the brand but they are just off the market edge for me. There was always something just not quite there when I was looking for a bike with the money already in pocket. I was really keen on both the Challenger and the Scout because they have modern engines, but the Challenger carries too much affixed to it and the Scout has no tech in it to match the modern engine. I walked into the showroom 10 times over a year and never put the money down (I threw a leg over the FTR and knew the ergonomics were not for me). I purchased the Sportster S two days after it was announced, two months before it hit the market. I have never owned or been interested in a HD before. It has everything I desire in both the Scout and the Challenger in one bike. If Indian had a Challenger engine and tech package in the Chief Limited, I would be riding the Limited today instead of the Sportster S. Side by side the FTR S and Sportster S are near identical spec in road performance, it is an ergonomic decision.
At 12:51, that’s how you end up walking home.

Indian makes good bikes but, same as current HD line, there's not a stock model I like as factory made that I could afford. Chiefs in europe are too expensive, and i prefer to have a 21 inches front. I like the Spingfield dark horse but i can't afford it. A chief with 21' front and 2-2 exhaust could be, in my opinon, the harley killer.
Indian has HD beat hands down to me but good god are these things getting expensive. I paid $30k for my fully loaded full size pickup. It was low mile used but still. I don't even care if I could afford it, that's just too much

I've owned 2 scouts and a 2019 Chief Darkhorse (now chief classic), they're decent bikes. But I'm switch to a Moto Guzzi V100, tired of dragging pegs on my scout on corners it shouldn't drag pegs and don't really care for 800lb bikes all that much for the rest of the lineup. And the FTR is too ugly, I do not like the flat track look.
Is it just me or are some of the Indian bikes starting to look like the Chevy Avalanche? Some of the changes and the lines just feel plasticky and exaggerated for no reason. Still great bikes of course but 2019/2020 era feel more aggressive where the new ones are starting to give me hints of a kid's toy.

Whats with all the smoke colours? I hate those smoke options, its like Polaris has not mastered paint the way Harley has so they take the smoke look which covers up the Polaris flaws.

Very insensitive of them to make their logo a Native American wearing a headdress. that wouldn't be aloud here in USA! we finally changed the name of a dc football team! nobody could possibly be as ignorant as christopher columbus today an get away with it!
