Awesome video series thanks for taking us along on the Burstfire Annealing machine. I found this video series to be very interesting and informative!!! Well done!!!
I just got mine yesterday. The manual is not very informative. From what I can tell from the video, the “solid tip” of the flame is right at the case? Is the torch pretty much running parallel to the annealer case body? Is the torch at full max? Or at what percentage?
So the answer is yes to the first part of the question you asked. The second question the way I adjust the Torch is I have the blue tip part of the flame about an inch long and the tip of that blue flame is going to be roughly 3/16 to 1/8 of an inch from were the shoulder and case neck meet. @jackwebb5917 Remember, there's a bit of a learning curve. When you first start anneeling your cases, so do yourself a favor and take 10 pieces of whatever brass/caliber you're using and make it a permanent test brass. That way, you can get your flame set up for the proper anneal of the case and the proper length of the flame. You can reuse those ten pieces of brass every time you set your machine up for that particular caliber. That way you're not wasting good brass if that makes sense. So in other words you're going to sacrifice ten pieces of every caliber brass you have for annealing.
@@JerrBearTactical Makes perfect sense! I’m setting up .223 now, and I’ve already decided that some sacrificial cases will be needed to get the right set up. I don’t know if you have a video on this, but for newbies to annealing like me, it would be awesome for a video that not only sets up the basic machine, but also walks us through how to get the proper setup
@jackwebb5917 There are many videos that are out there. I just sent you that link for the one that Desmond had done for that particular machine. If you do a search on youtube, how to anneel my rifle brass. I recommend you watch as many of those videos as you can because you will learn lots of tips and tricks. This will help you become efficient in the art of anneeling your brass. I wish I had the time to make some more of these like you suggested. I've been very, very busy at work working 7 days a week. It's been tough to put out any new content. But stay tuned. I will have some new content put out here eventually, and I will consider doing what you asked😁😉👍
The reason being is every time you work the brass it work hardens. So I preform them first from a 223/5.56 case with a oal of 1.370 then I anneal them. Then I full length resize to achieve proper neck tension and then do a final trim with my WFT to a case OAL of 1.360. This would be a new piece of brass ready for it's 1st firing. Once fire formed I anneal again and then only bump the shoulder back .003 My accuracy is amazing and the life of the brass lasts 10+ firings. Hope this makes sense 😉😁👍👊🇺🇸
Great video! Just got a Burstfire Annealing machine myself. Where are you focusing the flame on the brass? Burstifre recommends center of the neck in their 300blk video. Your heat affected zone looks really good on the 25 setting.
Tip of the blue flame focused were the shoulder and neck meet. Flame 1/8 from brass to start with and adjust to your liking. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for stopping by and posting a comment Brother... Happy Annealing 😉👍👊🇺🇸
🤔 I believe so, but to be able to answer that I would recommend emailing them personally to help get a better answer. They do have an extra large case wheel for larger Calibers but I don't remember what they're recommend them for. Thanks for stopping by and watching Brother 👊 🇺🇸

Thanks Chris for always watching the channel 😀 I sure do appreciate it Brother 👍 👊🇺🇸
You’ve sold me on this!! Thanks for taking the time to do 6 part series. I looked to see if you had a link but I didn’t see one.
I can't add a link for this annealing machine do to UA-cam policies ... thanks for stopping by and watching Brother 👊 🇺🇸

Enjoyed this!
Good video. I been looking at getting one of these. Thanks for the video. One question though. Why didt you anneal the brass before you formed them?

I like where the torch is located.

Would the Burstfire work for annealing 45-70, 45-90, . S&W 460, .454 Casull, .44 mag, and lastly...S&W 500?

I truly appreciate it the quick reply. Keep up the great work!
@user-gu6nj8lf3w you're very welcome, Brother 😉👊🇺🇸
Did you have a hose attached from a propane tank to the annealer?
Yes, I did. It comes with the kit, including the torch. It's an amazing machine for annealing 😉 ... thanks for stopping by and watching, Brother 👍🇺🇸
@@JerrBearTactical Thank you. Straight shooting.
The price tag is reasonable.
👍🏼🤘🏼🤟🏽♥️👍🏼
Thanks for stopping by and showing your support CW it's much appreciated Brother 😊 👊🇺🇸
