There is a reason why this park don’t have any attraction really high. I learned through a documentary that because of the airport that is nearby, the park isn’t allowed to build anything higher than 50 meters. (Yes, the spike of Toutatis is 51 meters, but they actually dig in the ground in order to « bypass » this rule). Considering this limitation I think they’re doing pretty well ! I was introduced to the Asterix universe in the early 90s in the UK, due to a Sega Master System game that became one of my favourites for a little while. I then went on to read some comics and play other games. So when I first visited Parc Asterix in 2020, I really enjoyed it. It's a great little park, and the quality of the theming really was surprising to me.

Great park. Visited last year because of Toutatis' launch. We rode the train out from downtown Paris and hopped the bus from CDG. It took a bit over an hour. While not as convenient as some other parks to get to, it wasn't horrible. A train station at the park would be a big help. Definitely a park to visit while in Europe.

Glad to see you have discovered who Asterix and Obelix are since your first visit. Probably gave more context to the theming. Have your viewers ever pointed out that the ride is called "tonnerre de Zeus" (the 2 is pronounced "de" for deux, in French)? Thanks for another quality video!
The best park I have been to so far. We had the unlimited Filotomatix. That made it an awesome day. We got to ride Toutatis 10 times, Oziris 6 times. And we still had plenty of time to drink some beers, eat and do all the other attractions in the park. And the theming is on point all over the park. 😄👍
When I visited, the grazing sheep were below Pégase Express. I'm guessing they move them around from ride to ride, they were fun to see from the coaster.
I actually went there on my 30th birthday last year in July and holy moly this park is just amazing. We slept in one of the hotels and it was pretty nice. Especially getting in a little bit earlier. Highly recommend going there 🎉
Im binging all your France vids rn because these parcs are all my childhood! Short story for this one, when i was in primary school, we hosted an exchange with a German school, and when our German penpals came over, we had explicit interdiction of taking them to Disneyland because the price point might be discriminatory to some families (when a two day pass was around 70 euros...that was before 2008!). Me and my penpal ended up spending a very wet day at Asterix, but in the end, maybe we experienced the better park of the two ;)
As far as the sheep are concerned, it's because the park mows all these lawns with them. They regularly change places and are sometimes underneath Pégase Express or la Trace Du Hourra, for example. 😉 And if there isn't a Screaming Swing, Drop Tower, etc it's because the park is limited in height, they can't build more than about 50 m high (that's why Toutatis has a trench).
Great park with flawless theming you can easily enjoy even without knowledge about Asterix. But if you really know a little more about all the characters and their dynamics, it becomes far more enjoyable. Asterix is really popular in Europe, not just France. The 3d cinema is also quite nice and so is the stunt show was fun to watch. They are one of the few offerings that let you sit down for a while. Which brings me to what the park is missing in my eyes, about two major dark rides. I would also replace Gouderix with a modern Vekoma looper (Lech style) and SOS numerobis with a modern kids coaster as well. As for hotels, if you are by car there is an area very near the park with a lot of affordable hotels close to the highway.
I visited the park in 2021 for the first time for 2 days and stayed in one of the hotel areas. Back then Filotomatix was apparently included and exclusive for hotel goers. A pleasent surprise and so many hours of queues skipped with this feature. A shame it's now paid only and no longer included in hotel visits

And if you want me to find some data on how much it inflates the queue lines then I'll try to, believe me from experience, when fast track is over sold it makes the normal queue unbearable, I've experienced it at universal studios and Thorpe park in the UK, ended up letting 2/3 fast track on to 1/3 standard queue and they moved so slowly whilst watching more and more people jump right in front of you makes the whole experience miserable
Your pronunciation of Asterix is wrong . Its not romanized like what yoyr saying it . Its is just Asterix as like “Asterisk”
I used to bounce between astérix and disney when I was younger, but yeah now that they've destroyed Rock n' rollercoaster (among other things) and toutatis opened, I probably won't come back to disney until they open star wars land or something, especially with their ever-increasing pricing...
