Thanks for all the support on this video! If you want to know why #1 on this list ranked where it did, here’s a recent video where I explain exactly what makes the park so great: ua-cam.com/video/Hel4HPqSfwg/v-deo.htmlsi=gACel9YlU6jV7xVD
EuropaPark is also my favourite park in Europe and Arthur and Voletarium are my favourite rides ever. I have also got a video about it and you can always hear me say "WOW". I was speechless on every ride, the theming was great.
@@LucasBoss6354 Definitely in my top 5, but Arthur left me speechless and my heart belong to that ride, but I think it is also because I love the movie!
@LucasBoss6354 EuroSat has always been my favorite ride since I was a child, and I didn't know they overhauled it because it'd been a while since I was there. When I got to experience the new ride, I literally cried a few happy tears when it was over. Love both the old and new version, but the new theming is so densely packed and lovely, and the Eiffel tower that's now inside the ball where there used to be emptiness absolutely blew me away. It also runs so much smoother now with the retracking. It's tied with Arthur as my favorite overall experience. Blue Fire comes a close second because it allowed me to finally get over my fear of non-family roller coasters.
Port Aventura, Europa Park, and Phantasialand are my favorite 3 in Europe. Efteling and Plopsaland were both surprising. I am thinking that if Plopsaland expands into the field to the north with a couple more top tier coasters, it could become one of the best parks in Europe. I had fun at Hansa Park, and Energylandia. I actually liked Walibi Belgium and was blown away by the theming (as well as the Belgium waffles they serve there).
I visited Efteling in circa 2011 - 2012 with no real idea what it would be like. I was absolutely amazed by the theming and overall vibe. Still to this day one of my favourite theme park experiences.
@@shahaf6191 I think that shows in this video as well, theming and landscaping are basically perfect in the Efteling, the only thing holding it back from a true top spot for basically anyone who visits is the ride line up that could/should be a bit mroe thrilling and challenging.
Vliegende Hollander is my personal favorite but the Droomvlucht is the most populair darkride of the Efteling. Visiting on a day on which both are closed is terrible.
1. Europa-park (best all rounder) , 2. Phantasialand (F.L.Y. is actually my favourite ride), 3. Energylandia (Zadra + Hyperion is all I need). 4. Port Aventura (decent in all), 5. Disney (just childhood nostalgia + I really, really love the hotel ride) is my list
Wait, an American who did not go to Disneyland Paris? I am shocked. I am also surprised you ranked the Efteling so high when you are a coaster fan. Usually coaster fans do not care about the Efteling that much. But i am glad that "my" park is at number 4 even though i think it is better than Phantasia. Europapark is my nr 2 and i am so sad it is so far away..Love that park, so i get why that is your nr 1.
Great video! Europa Park is also my favorite in Europe! I made a video about this, and what's interesting is that we both mentioned different reasons - despite this it still ranked 1st for both of us!
I agree with your list! It's crazy to see how European parks have evolved the past 10-15 years, making it the themepark hub in the world for me. After visiting US&A I realised how lucky we are in Europe, with good quality coasters in amazing settings and not just put on a parking lot.
Totally agree with Europapark being no.1 though I have to admit, I'm probably a little biased because I grew up in the area and we used to go there at least twice a year as a kid, sometimes even one or two weekends a month when we had seasonal tickets. I connect so many of my best and most valuable childhood memories to this park that no matter what other places I visited through the years and and how amazing they all were, they could never live up to the feeling I had and still have every time I go through these gates. It's definitely an amazing place that's worth a visit, especially when you have young children because there will be something there for all of you.
as a dutch teenager who doesnt vape, yes walibi holland is very full of those types of people. last time i visited was this summer, and like everyone was vaping while being in an indoor queue
De Efteling is just a park on its own. Everything about it just shows massive charm and love by the owners. For children it's easily the best one in europe. Fully agree on Phantasialand, since Covid it has never been the same again with huge queues and they clearly let in more people than before too resulting in crowded vibe everywhere.
Great video! Europa Park seems like the most well rounded park in the world to me. I'm kind of surprised you haven't been to a Six Flags park yet. I've only been to SFA and SFGADV. People hate on Six Flags, but I like both of those parks. Great Adventure has my favorite coaster lineup of any park I've been to. The ops at Great Adventure, especially Nitro, are the best overall of any coaster park I've been to. Ops at certain rides will literally run down the platform. It's crazy. The ops at SFA have been solid as well overall. They seen to run one train often, but that's not the ops fault. The food has been solid at both parks too.
Six flaggs parks aren't that bad there opration is lets say not good except for the one in New Jersey. They just don't compaire with European parks in charm but i would say i liked all 7 i ve done so far.
Went Alton Towers the other day Wicker Man is the best wooden coaster I have ever been on. For its pretty small size it delivers such a rush very well structured and made and surprisingly smooth Smiler was my fav ride I always regard it as a mashup between Nemesis and Oblivion because it has that vertical climb which was terrifying because we were on it during a rain storm. I agree though Alton Towers has the potential to be the GOAT if it wanted to be they are always adding new rides and another new ride is coming next year I have heard.
Thanks for the list, added them all to my Google maps destinations. FlamingoLand and Blackpool Pleasure Beach would also have made it onto this list if you ever visit the UK again!
I agree. I don't visit Europa Park very often anymore, because it's been my homepark and I know all the coasters too well. It's so good that with Voltron we finally have a new top coaster, because that's exactly my only critique as well: Coaster lineup. And that says a lot, because it means that everything else - e-v-e-r-y-t--h-i-n-g - is absolutely immaculate. I am still in awe whenever I consciously pay attention to the ride operations! Like, look at what they are doing! Eurosat and Silver Star are probably the two most fascinating operations to look at, it just flows so satisfyingly. And the capacity, the line moves and moves. Since it has been my homepark, I took it for granted, but now I know that Europa Park probably just has the best operations worldwide, and if not certainly among the very top. Add to that the theming and love put into everything. Like season-specific decoration with thousands of pumpkins or christmas trees, flowing seamlessly into each other between Halloween and Christmas, getting more and more christmasy every day. What a great idea! In the summer, they place chairs and deckchairs around in open places and green spots, where people can relax. They use the great weather and scenery to provide a free-diving show, then in Portugal it really feels like summer near the sea, it's deceivingly tricky, the scenery is just that good. In winter they provide places with those logs that burn from the inside for a long time, where guests can warm themselves. That just speaks of consideration and care and thought in the wellness and comfort of the park guests. To be honest, I can't talk about all of Europa Park's service qualities, the list is just too long. Now they just had to provide some pull factors again, some more coasters, and they're just in the game. I know their family manufacturer Mack Rides got it in them, certainly when I tried DC Rivals, and now they put out Ride to Happiness as well. And now Voltron. I see a bright future if Europa Park just continues to bring the good Mack Rides producsts in, which they haven't for a decade, but maybe now that is about to change.
Watching this the night before we go to Alton Towers tomorrow. I havent been in about 6-7 years as I moved to Australia, but i'm really looking forward to the revamped Nemesis, Nemesis: Sub Terra (omg, I cant believe this got re-opened) and Wickerman (which I haven't ridden yet). I hadn't heard of a number of the other parks in this list so i've taken note and i'll hopefully make it to some of them in the future! They look incredible 😃 Great video, and imo your voice was totally fine. I don't know what that other commenter was popping off about 🙂
Hyped to see PortAventura so high, totally deserves it. Also... Angry to see PortAventura so high, totally does not deserve it. There's rumors Universal may buy it back. Don't know how good or bad it could be, just sure worst operations than that is impossible.
Awesome Vid, also i think ep is the best, but phantasialand is also awesome. I am so hyped about Voltron and Redone Alpenexpress! Btw when did you visit Energylandia ( Month )?
Great video and I thought the voiceover was fine. Far better than I could do. Having recently visited Thorpe Park I thought it could be a little higher. Although thats probably largely due to Hyperia which wasnt open when you visited. I totally agree regarding the theming though. I really like Swarm, I think its underrated and quite well themed for Thorpe Park. I guess it's all subjective though.
People may disagree, but in my opinion Balder is the scariest coaster at Liseberg if you sit in the rear seat, it has a great drop which is very unexpected, and also very good airtime hills. Valkyria has a better drop, but other than that Valkyria isn't that thrilling and is also really short. I think you would have liked it. 😊
explanations for some weaknesses of alton towers rides oblivion was the first dive coaster in the world so its going to be the weakest the smiler was built mostly for record breaking and they didnt focus on smoothness too much its still my favourite as it looks amazing and the world record it has makes it even more amazing rita is really rough and is a weak launch and nemesis might be the best invert in europe due to its landscape use and centerpiece which is nemesis you just couldnt experience it the flat rides do ruin it i agree on that alton towers is mostly a park of worlds firsts and a great atmosphere and history they arent allowed to build above the trees so they are highly limited in their building
Yep the world firsts thing does sometimes hold it back in hindsight. Oblivion and Galactica are really tame but were essentially rushed out to be the first in Europe of their respective kinds. Smiler is so rattly it's almost becoming painful to ride. The two best rollercoasters there IMO were the ones where they weren't trying to really be a first - Nemesis and Wickerman. I hope they can get back to that. I really wouldn't mind seeing some of the older stuff replaced if necessary.
Something negative about Walibi Holland is that besides the rollercoasters they don´t have much other rides. That´s why it mainly attracts vaping teenagers
YAY 6th place, Nice video. there is 2 parks that is not here that you may visit next time in europe and those is Legoland Denmark and Skara Sommarland Sweden.
I definitely would wanna visit Mirabilandia for Katun & see how it compares to Alpengeist (considering they’re the two closest inverts in terms of scale [Montu as well & Banshee doesn’t count]) Same for Energylandia just for Hyperion (my beloved Titan of Light) (Also, you are forgiven for audio discrepancies [Read the description, you plebs 🧚🏻♀️✨🫵])
From #26 up to #3 I enjoyed this ranking very much. I strongly agree with the vaping teenagers, your view on Toutatis and the missing dark ride at Phantasialand. Despite this, I have to protest. The operations at Phantasialand are outstanding, FLY is not overrated, Parc Astérix deserves better and Europa Park can’t be #1 for anyone who loves coasters. I guess you need to come back to go on a redemption tour. Btw your voice-over is just fine.
I am experiencing a second youth with my brother (I just turned 35 yesterday) and are touring Europe for theme parks. Last year we did a road trip (I live in Belgium) to Denmark. We did both Sommerland parks and on the way back did Hansa-park. It was second half of august and apparenlty in Denmark schools were already back running. So there were hardly any crowds! I must say Piraten and Juvelen and Phoenix weren't too special in our opinion. Both good parks and we had a blast as both parks had their own free on site small water parks as well! We didnt know much about Hansa Park so hadnt have much expectations about it, but oh my Kärnan absolutely one of the best in whole Europe! I agree with a lot you say. I too find FLY the most overrated coaster in Europe, didnt enjoy it actually. Also did 3 days of Portaventura half september thinking it would be quiet. Oh boy were we wrong, lazy Spain so they have massive summer hollidays and school only starts end op september, so it was 2 days of queing, against our personal beliefs day 1 we bought crazy expensive fast passes as otherwise we would barely be able to ride anything, and doing the trip from Belgium is quite an investment. Shambhala is my 2nd fave coaster in Europe so far and also loved Furious Bahco so we did have a good time in the end, but like you it left us with a sour after taste as this park could be absolute elite under different management. I hear rumors about Universal wanting to buy it back? Would be amazing news... Also enjoyed Plopsaland recently (40% discount through our Bobbejaanland season passes!), Bellewaerde with its new Amazonia unique water ride and yesterday Walibi Belgium. We were fortunate there were hardly any crowds (crowd calendar put it at 2% capacity) and basicly everything was walk-on or max 10 minutes of queing. Managed 5 rides of Kondaa and its truly one of the best in Europe as well! Regards theming Walibi Belgium did improve a lot and more investments are being done every year. Pulsar is a very unique launching water coaster, Flash back is a very fun log flume, Dalton Terror an older but intense drop tower... We had an amazing day. I'm sure you would have had a much better experience with less crowds. If you ever come to Belgium or the neighborhood, make sure to give Bobbejaanland and Bellewaerde a try! Smaller parks but Bobbejaanland has a very good triple launch coaster with fury and Bellewaerde has its unique new water ride, unique Huss topple tower (which breaks down more than it runs) and is also partly a zoo. The park itself is beautuful and charming. Couple of weeks ago did the combo Parque Warner / Parque de Attractiones Madrid. Glad I could add the unique extended skyloop Abysmo in PDA and Escape from Gotham City in Warner. Both are good parks, but typical spanish horrible operating and unfriendly staff who dont speak a word of English. Next on the list: Walibi Holland, Efteling, Heide-Park, Energylandia + Legendia, Thorpe, Chessington, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Alton Towers, Parc Asterix, Toverland... So we wont be bored next 2 years! Oh yes, we also did Movie Park in Germany, which was also a free entry through our Bobbejaanland season pass (all PDR parks). While not an elite park, its still fun to do!
Going to EuropaPark in a week and a half and I’m really excited, but it’ll be my first time in Europe, I’m going alone and I don’t speak German. What kind of extra prep do I need to do?
Almost everyone there speaks English, so you should be fine. As for other things, there’s a few cultural differences but overall as long as you’re nice, people will be more than happy to help
legendia was opened in 1959, it has a lot of old attractions, it was originally there "śląskie wesołe miasteczko" and in 2017 it changed the owner who built the lech coaster, for example, this rollercoaster with 2 loops was built in 1980 and initially stood in England, in 2006 it was transported to legendia then "śląskie wesołe miasteczko" when they transported it, there was communism in Poland and the difficult times of Russian rule. At that time, this park was like an energyland But I have to agree with you, unfortunately it deserves last place. I'm writing this to make you aware
FYI: Efteling is NOT family owned, but has a commercial business structure with one shareholder being a non profit foundation. This structure can be seen with many organizations and companies in the Netherlands.
I watched this while leaving Efteling at almost 11 in the evening and man Efteling is my childhood described in a place it is so good and im dutch so its like the theme park to go to and today i first time tried going in the Python! Amazing park 10/5
Do you recommend going to europapark if you are a thrill seeker? Im probably going to europapark in a few weeks with my parents and brother, but we both like thrill rides and don’t care a lot about theming and slow dark rides etc.
23:02 Take into account that, since Universal left the park, the owners have only been investor funds, not a single park operator or at least a company with some previous experience; so yeah, the operations are definitely bad on purpose.
Nice ranking, I'd love to see these parks gets a new coasters shown here: Legendia - Vekoma Family Boomerang (this park lacks family coaster and really needed one) Holiday Park - Mack Xtreme Spinner (obviously.) Walibi Belgium - B&M Surf Coaster (this popped up in my mind) Thorpe Park - Gravity Group Wooden Coaster (this park needs a wooden coaster) Linnanmaki - RMC Raptor (I know this park has Taiga which is a perfect coaster but a 1-2 punch would be nice.) Tivoli Gardens - None, because I don't want Rutchebanen to get overshadowed. Nigloland - Mack Stryker Coaster (this is just a mini-playground for Mack so why not) Grona Lund - New New-gen Vekoma model (you know the drill) Gardaland - Intamin Blitz (please give them a true standout coaster) Tripsdrill - Intamin Hot Racer Plopsaland de Panne - B&M Hyper (even though that'd be too much for, say, family park) Mirabilandia - GCI Wooden Coaster Walibi Holland - Custom RMC Raptor (you know they got one and still under construction) Hansa Park - Vekoma Super Shockwave Djurs Sommerland - Mack Multi-launch Farup Sommerland - B&M Surf Coaster Heide Park - New-gen Vekoma models Parc Asterix - Gerstlauer Hyper Infinity Coaster (seriously, this park gets so stacked, and please retrack Goudurix) Alton Towers - Intamin Blitz (I want it below the tree lines and packs the intensity and airtime) Toverland - Mack Stryker Coaster with 5 inversions Liseberg - B&M Hyper (please fill the rails with sand) PortAventura World- Intamin Blitz Efteling - Mack Xtreme Spinner (below the tree lines with some intensity thrown in) Phantasialand - GCI Wooden/Hybrid Coaster that goes through theming and trenches Energylandia - Mack Xtreme Spinner (this park has so many Vekomas already, it needs more from other companies) Europa Park - Mack Xtreme Spinner (this park is literally a playground for Mack so why not give them the model in the park that they were missing?)
Nice list i got some minor deviations in my personal list except for one i really really dislike Port avontura because of things you mentioned its arounf my 20 th spot and thats just because like you said the park looks great and the coasters are ok. I'm not going back there until the owner is changed. Also Walibi Belgium is way higher on my list but since i live about 2 hours away i usually pick a day when its not to busy.
as someone who "frequents" Djurs sommerland ill say i agree with you on the staff thing. i recently rode theyre "new" t-rex family coaster and the staff gaave me and my 3 freinds who were sitting all the way in the back alone a plastic bone for the ride pic and we bought a donut for a opertator at piraten.
I've Been To 8 Parks 8 Parque De Attractions 7 Warner Bros Movie World 6 Thorpe Park 5 Walibi Holland 4 Alton Towers 3 Port Aventura 2 Europa Park 1 Phantasialand
In 2024 opened the Voltron nevera in Europa park. Absolutely shaking ride. It launches straight into a loop followed with a crap ton of tight turns. You should go there again, if not just watch the pov to get a better idea. Loved the video keep up the good work.
@@literally.connor.kenway ah right ok, just a lot of people say about certain roller coasters being uncomfortable and shake you about a lot. I’d never expect to hear shaking to describe something especially a roller coaster in a good way 😂
11:30 putting mirabilandia above gardaland?? Crazy 😂 gardaland is so beautiful especially in its environment at Lago di Garda! As a whole I felt you've been quite harsh. I don't know if it's the audience you're hearing towards too but e.g. saying a park is not worth visiting for the whole day seems crazy to me as you're paying full price... I get you're having to Sum up every park in a few seconds so it's really hard. I don't want this comment to sound so mean, I liked how you explained your placing for every park and I do agree with a lot of points. E.g. Djurs Sommerland is such a humble park and just great. My favourite park as a child was always Heide Park which every German always bashes so it's really uplifting to see you put it in the top 10😄 I liked your video as it made me look forward to experience all of these parks myself! I think my problem was mostly because I'm sugarcoating everything and your directness kinda hit me hahaha
Seems like you hit one of the crowded days in Phantasialand. If you go there while schools are running, there is a pretty high chance that the longest wait on taron is 15 min. Then, its definitely no. 1
I haven’t been to many theme parks in my life, having grown up with Toverland and Efteling. While I don’t see Toverland as particularly extraordinary, I have fond memories of it from my childhood, especially with my grandmother who has sadly passed away. It always felt so safe and comforting, like my own little world. Efteling, however, remains the best theme park I’ve ever visited, despite finding it less enjoyable in recent years due to long wait times relative to the duration of the attractions. The exceptional theming is impressive, but it often means the rides are shorter. Unfortunately, it has also lost some of its childhood enchantment because I'm older now. Other notable parks I’ve enjoyed include Disneyland Paris and Phantasialand.
You went to Walibi Holland in October during Halloween Fright Nights haha thats the busiest time of the year and average age is 16. The park is normally NOT filled with vaping teenagers.
In the Efteling you have the Flying Dutchman. De Vliegende Hollander. Our Baron 1898. Always a theme. You already when you wait because the story looking forward.
You have to pay a fast pass to experience tourne 2 zeus backwards. Atleast on my day at the park. Though it made the ride so much better. A crazy experience.
I thought it’d be enjoyable like the other European wing coasters, but I found it to lack in any significant forces while having a pretty nasty rattle (and those awful vest restraints hurt it as well).
@@Coaster_Critic yh the vest restraints always put me off riding it when i go there. when you enter the final brakes it feels like you have a restraint jacket on
Visited Europa park last year and it was a blast such a great atmosphere and ride collection only wish it was open longer as on the day I went it was super busy.
Although I agree Europa-Park has some fun dark rides and the collection of rides in general is great, the dark rides are definitly not on par with Efteling. Pirates in Batavia is awesome, and maybe one of the best dark rides, but the rest of the dark rides in Europa-Park are quite bad(in a funny way)
Some of EP’s lesser dark rides definitely aren’t on par with Efteling’s more impressive ones, but I think Europa Park has the better collection overall
RITA IS AWFUL AND HEADBANGY AND RATTLEY AND ROUGH AND IT HAS BAD THEMING AND IT HAS A REPETITVE LAYOUT AND IT IS BORING AND GAVE ME A HEADACHE IT IS THE WORST COASTER AT TOWERS MY FAVE IS NEMESIS REBORN BUT IT WAS CLOSED WHEN YOU WENT MY SECOND IS WICKERMAN AND OBLIVION IS INCREDIBLY GOOD!
It’s fun, what you dislike about phantasialand density is what others love about it. The detailed theming is only possible to the degree PH has perfected it because it’s smaller and denser. And would an industrial themed area really feel accurate if it wasn’t dense. You don’t exactly imagine big spaces and green fields in a industrial area
Phantasialand has 6 areas: Klugheim is part of Mystery & Rookburgh is part of Old Berlin. That there isn‘t more space is not the park’s fault + I have never seen bad operations there (during countless visits). 🤷🏼♂️ Also, the food there is by far the best I ever had in any theme park.
@@Meme-Masterthebest Higher price for a much higher quality (even though there are alternatives that have also become much better as of this season). Also, compared to other parks (especially in France/Belgium), the price isn‘t even really much higher.
I cant agree more on your list about Port Aventura, Phantasialand, Europa Park and some others. And i cant believe someone shares the exact same opinion on phantasialand as me. The problem i see with phantasialand is a) the small space. It might be very immersive but bcs of the small space, it doesnt give room to breath, deliver its theme and to really unfold its full potential (except rookburg which looks amazing). And b) even if Taron, Black Mamba and Colorado Adventure are great rides and i also like winjas fear and force, it doesnt have a good dark ride. Not a Single one. Mouse o chocolate is ok, but i dont like shooting darkrides with glasses. FLY is so uncomfortable for me as tall guy which doesnt let enjoy me this ride and overall it doesnt have much rides. But ppl seem to prefer 3/ 4 really good coasters rather than the whole package of ride collection, where you can spent more than one day and not be bored and find each single time new Details. If u have more space, you have more to explore on theming. Universal, Disney and Europa Park does it better bcs they have more space. Phantasialand isnt a bad Park. Its a grear Park, but it doesnt catch me as much as Europa park or some other parks. By that: yes, Europa Park is the no 1 in Europe. The coaster arent boring and the amount of visitors per year proof that. If coaster enthusiast speak about the coaster line up, i understand that the coasters might feel a bit boring, bcs they chase the thrill. But non of the coaster is boring in EP. And the theming and dark rides tops it all. They have europes best dark rides and theming, best food and Operation. I mean Europa park has THE best Operation System. They are so damn fast, like no other park does reach this level. The amount of Land, attractions and theming and shows is insane and you can spent trully 2-3 days there and find more to ride and see. There are even smaller hidden attractions most ppl dont even know they excist. Voltron will be a great addition and most likely finally something for thrill seekers (even its not the fastest or highest coaster) There are also rumors that they gonna install their rockint boats in the future and russia should get reworked and Euro Mir too. I still hope they gonna replace Euro Mir with their Xtreme Spinner. Fingers crossed 🤞 If u ever visit EP again, make sure you spent a night in one of the hotels and visit Rulantica, the huge and well themed waterpark right next to EP.
You missed out big time with nemesis. I have to say personally I love the Smiler it is my favourite coaster in the UK. Heading to Walibi Holland, Efteling and Plopsaland next week though!
i live in belgium and u don't wanna go in christmas time, newyear time, halfway february, Begin April, somedays in may, July and August, Halloween week, 11 november
Toverland is only a 15 minut drive for me and i also got a year-pass for the park. Seeing it on number 7 on your list makes me appreciate the park so much more, specifically cos i like Efteling more but since its an hour drive i stick with Toverland^^ I have also bin to Europa park + Rulantica (waterpark), and what can i say... for me personally Toverland and Efteling cant compare to Europa park, for me that park is on the same level as Disneyland when i went there as a kid. Europa park on its own is great but with the added waterpark (Rulantica) i totaly fell in love with this place, i am going for a second time very soon, cant wait! :)
Good news. If you return to Alton Towers the retrosquad is completely gone so the park is back to being completely beautiful again. Also Nemesis has returned better than ever so double yay!
If Rita was longer, I think it would have potential to be a top 5 in Europe. The designers could’ve added inversions and maybe more height (build underground) to make it even better
I haven't visited many parks, but tho I love Europapark (since it's my home theme park and relatively close to where I live), I personally was blown away completely the first time I viseted Phantasialand. The theming and overall feeling of this park is just stunning and I think it will stay my personal number 1. Especially with F.L.Y. and Rookburgh. Maybe it's because I know Europapark since I was a little child, so it doesn't have this feeling of unknown wonder and exploration, but Phantasialand feels like being in another world. The rollercoasters are great as well! Taron might be overrated, but I don't care. It's great. The concept of overrated roller coasters is a bit weird to me, tbh.
@@Coaster_Critic Yeah I think it has a lot to do with personal preference. Europapark is definitely more open and less cramped on a normal day but the narrow pathways of Phantasialand give up a special vibe to me that I really like (The two times I visited the park, it wasn't too crowded.) I'm just so glad that both parks exist! Heidepark was a bit disappointing to me, but it's been almost 10 years since I was there. But like I said, I grew up with Europapark. I figured most parks won't be on the same level as that.
Europa Park also builds some of its rollercoasters by it self (by the sister company Mack)
EuropaPark is also my favourite park in Europe and Arthur and Voletarium are my favourite rides ever.
I have also got a video about it and you can always hear me say "WOW".
I was speechless on every ride, the theming was great.
My favorite ride in Europa Park is the Moulin Rouge Can-Can. It was amazing
WTF? Favorite Arthur? Sorry But Voltron>>>>
Me to but in 2024
Same! one of my firsts Theme parks ever and until today didn't saw any better looking park
@@shahaf6191 I think that shows in this video as well, theming and landscaping are basically perfect in the Efteling, the only thing holding it back from a true top spot for basically anyone who visits is the ride line up that could/should be a bit mroe thrilling and challenging.
Fantastic video. Extremely high quality. I love hearing about European parks.
Thanks so much!
Great ranking! Efteling is not family owned, it is actually owned by a foundation. Glad to see you had a great time there!
Thanks for the info!
Damn, droomvlucht and de vliegende hollander are 2 of the best rides if not the best in the Efteling. Hope you visit again soon.
They would instantly elevate Efteling from 4 to 2.
Vliegende Hollander is my personal favorite but the Droomvlucht is the most populair darkride of the Efteling. Visiting on a day on which both are closed is terrible.
I love Vliegender hollanders queueline, loading station and lift hill theming, but it's a bt crappy after that! Drromvilucht's amazeballs though!
He was so unlucky those are the most beautiful rides of the park
Do you have any full videos on Efteling? If not can you make one!? I’m so interested in that park and want to see more!
I knew my ranking was controversial, but this is a new, much higher level.
I am happy tripsdrill is my second closest homepark. The park is so underrated.
i love Hohenflug because you can decide how intense it is!
Europa Park is a deserving number 1 and it has got even better since this video with Voltron.
Absolutely, check out the pinned comment for an updated in depth review!
Great video! Europa Park is also my favorite in Europe! I made a video about this, and what's interesting is that we both mentioned different reasons - despite this it still ranked 1st for both of us!
Nice! I'll make sure to check it out.
Thanks! Wasn't expecting that 😅@@Coaster_Critic
I agree with your list! It's crazy to see how European parks have evolved the past 10-15 years, making it the themepark hub in the world for me. After visiting US&A I realised how lucky we are in Europe, with good quality coasters in amazing settings and not just put on a parking lot.
The new Voltron coaster in Europa-Park is amazing it’s easily the parks best ride Europapark stays on top
It looks amazing, I’m excited to ride it!

Great to hear!
as a dutch teenager who doesnt vape, yes walibi holland is very full of those types of people. last time i visited was this summer, and like everyone was vaping while being in an indoor queue
@@arturobianco848 Nice!
I dont get why people like europa parkt that much, its a very good park for families, but the lack of thrill rides ist just too big. Very strange

Ive never fully watched a yt video of this size;Probably one of the best rollercoaster videos ive watched. great quality.
Thanks so much!
I completely agree and I'd love to visit during Halloween or Christmas sometime!
They look incredible 😃
Great video, and imo your voice was totally fine. I don't know what that other commenter was popping off about 🙂

Great vid. I’d rank the parks differently - but not radically differently - but I agree with almost all of your park descriptions.
Thank you, I visited Thorpe a couple days ago and thought the same thing! Now I’d have it a few spots higher

I feel the same about Swarm. I think it's a really cool ride (not that I've been on loads) and was surprised to hear it thought of so poorly
The dark rides at Tivoli had a charm that actually did raise my opinion of the park, even if the main attraction for me was Rutschebanen.

I think so too, it looks to have some nice airtime
explanations for some weaknesses of alton towers rides
oblivion was the first dive coaster in the world so its going to be the weakest
the smiler was built mostly for record breaking and they didnt focus on smoothness too much its still my favourite as it looks amazing and the world record it has makes it even more amazing
rita is really rough and is a weak launch
and nemesis might be the best invert in europe due to its landscape use and centerpiece which is nemesis you just couldnt experience it
the flat rides do ruin it i agree on that
alton towers is mostly a park of worlds firsts and a great atmosphere and history
they arent allowed to build above the trees so they are highly limited in their building
@@jackcrosby448 i agree they do better when not trying to break world records but the smilers restraints are padded so i dont see why its a problem

Here after visiting Energylandia and can 10000% you are correct! also the Sweet valley looks amazing. The Tilt coaster... yeah will never been open :(
Something negative about Walibi Holland is that besides the rollercoasters they don´t have much other rides. That´s why it mainly attracts vaping teenagers
YAY 6th place, Nice video. there is 2 parks that is not here that you may visit next time in europe and those is Legoland Denmark and Skara Sommarland Sweden.
I definitely would wanna visit Mirabilandia for Katun & see how it compares to Alpengeist (considering they’re the two closest inverts in terms of scale [Montu as well & Banshee doesn’t count])
Same for Energylandia just for Hyperion (my beloved Titan of Light)
(Also, you are forgiven for audio discrepancies [Read the description, you plebs 🧚🏻♀️✨🫵])

For me the standout element on Katun is its first drop, which is the best on any invert. Also, iSpeed was far more fun than I thought it would be.

I can see where you're coming from
I am experiencing a second youth with my brother (I just turned 35 yesterday) and are touring Europe for theme parks.
This was a great read! Awesome to see that you’re having a lot of fun :)
Hope you had a great time!
legendia was opened in 1959, it has a lot of old attractions, it was originally there "śląskie wesołe miasteczko" and in 2017 it changed the owner who built the lech coaster, for example, this rollercoaster with 2 loops was built in 1980 and initially stood in England, in 2006 it was transported to legendia then "śląskie wesołe miasteczko" when they transported it, there was communism in Poland and the difficult times of Russian rule. At that time, this park was like an energyland But I have to agree with you, unfortunately it deserves last place. I'm writing this to make you aware
Walibi Holland used to be a Six Flags park so was Walibi Belgium I’ve been to both when they where Six flags parks and more recently as Walibi parks
I love it too!
Do you recommend going to europapark if you are a thrill seeker? Im probably going to europapark in a few weeks with my parents and brother, but we both like thrill rides and don’t care a lot about theming and slow dark rides etc.
I’d say it’s definitely still worth a visit just for the coasters, make sure to try out their dark rides anyway though
You should visit Europa Park again, Voltron is the best Coaster in the Park by a mile
I did and will upload a video about it!
23:02 Take into account that, since Universal left the park, the owners have only been investor funds, not a single park operator or at least a company with some previous experience; so yeah, the operations are definitely bad on purpose.
Nice ranking, I'd love to see these parks gets a new coasters shown here:
Legendia - Vekoma Family Boomerang (this park lacks family coaster and really needed one)
Holiday Park - Mack Xtreme Spinner (obviously.)
Walibi Belgium - B&M Surf Coaster (this popped up in my mind)

Hansa Park - Vekoma Super Shockwave
Djurs Sommerland - Mack Multi-launch
Farup Sommerland - B&M Surf Coaster
Heide Park - New-gen Vekoma models
Parc Asterix - Gerstlauer Hyper Infinity Coaster (seriously, this park gets so stacked, and please retrack Goudurix)
Alton Towers - Intamin Blitz (I want it below the tree lines and packs the intensity and airtime)
Toverland - Mack Stryker Coaster with 5 inversions
Liseberg - B&M Hyper (please fill the rails with sand)
PortAventura World- Intamin Blitz
Efteling - Mack Xtreme Spinner (below the tree lines with some intensity thrown in)
Phantasialand - GCI Wooden/Hybrid Coaster that goes through theming and trenches
Energylandia - Mack Xtreme Spinner (this park has so many Vekomas already, it needs more from other companies)
Europa Park - Mack Xtreme Spinner (this park is literally a playground for Mack so why not give them the model in the park that they were missing?)

I live an hour from europapark, my friends and me go there like twice a year and it never gets boring. Best Park in Europe no doubt
My favourite park as a child was always Heide Park which every German always bashes so it's really uplifting to see you put it in the top 10😄
I liked your video as it made me look forward to experience all of these parks myself! I think my problem was mostly because I'm sugarcoating everything and your directness kinda hit me hahaha
I was surprised too that I preferred Mirabilandia to Gardaland; as for the bluntness, my name is Coaster CRITIC for a reason haha
Seems like you hit one of the crowded days in Phantasialand. If you go there while schools are running, there is a pretty high chance that the longest wait on taron is 15 min. Then, its definitely no. 1
Even if it weren't as crowded, I still don't think it would place first for me
I haven’t been to many theme parks in my life, having grown up with Toverland and Efteling.
Thanks for sharing, I also love the charm of Toverland and Efteling!
Another shaky shaky 😊🎉

In the Efteling you have the Flying Dutchman. De Vliegende Hollander. Our Baron 1898. Always a theme. You already when you wait because the story looking forward.
Europapark is really good! I can imagine it is amazing for kids to. The theming is everywhere and it so massive.

WoW that’s unfortunate that Zeus disappointed you. Back row and backwards on that ride was my favorite in the park.
Yeah, I found it to be great. Except for the long, slow line.
What didn't you like about The Swarm? It's not the best ride ever but I find it hard to believe that you didn't at least enjoy it.
I definitelly did NOT expect Energylandia in 2nd.
Europa Park also builds some of its rollercoasters by it self (by the sister company Mack)
I realize that Phantasialand’s small size is what gives it some of its charm, but there’s negative aspects to it as well like I mentioned
EP on 1 i can agree. I love that place
I go to phantasialand in early november and its empty every time
Oh yeah about the sixflags and walibi holland walibi holland used to be a six flags park
The Food is really amazing. My problem with the Food is how expensive it is.
Voltron will be a great addition and most likely finally something for thrill seekers (even its not the fastest or highest coaster)
There are also rumors that they gonna install their rockint boats in the future and russia should get reworked and Euro Mir too. I still hope they gonna replace Euro Mir with their Xtreme Spinner. Fingers crossed 🤞
If u ever visit EP again, make sure you spent a night in one of the hotels and visit Rulantica, the huge and well themed waterpark right next to EP.
I completely agree!
You missed out big time with nemesis. I have to say personally I love the Smiler it is my favourite coaster in the UK. Heading to Walibi Holland, Efteling and Plopsaland next week though!
I visited this past summer and was able to ride the new version, it’s very good
i live in belgium and u don't wanna go in christmas time, newyear time, halfway february, Begin April, somedays in may, July and August, Halloween week, 11 november
That's like half the year lol
Toverland is only a 15 minut drive for me and i also got a year-pass for the park.
Seeing it on number 7 on your list makes me appreciate the park so much more, specifically cos i like Efteling more but since its an hour drive i stick with Toverland^^
I have also bin to Europa park + Rulantica (waterpark), and what can i say... for me personally Toverland and Efteling cant compare to Europa park, for me that park is on the same level as Disneyland when i went there as a kid.
Europa park on its own is great but with the added waterpark (Rulantica) i totaly fell in love with this place, i am going for a second time very soon, cant wait! :)
I agree!
If they had extended it to a multilaunch, I definitely think that could have been the case
Park Asterix is insane, i loved my time there
I definitely agree, it's a great park!
Tonnere 2 zeus is terribly shaky still after the retrack, sad… But i really appreciate the tunnel moment ! 🙂
To my experience the Kondaa operations were OK. Were on a busier day there too. An ot was never more than 70 mins
I've heard good things from others, but I unfortunately didn't have a very positive experience there
you have to go now, voltron is the fucking best coaster i ever drove. So fucking Good. Thumbs up for this video and the work you put into! Subscribed!
I visited last month and my newest video is an in-depth review of the park (I talk about Voltron a lot), go check it out!
I think it’s definitely a toss-up between those two as to which people prefer
@@Coaster_Critic Yeah I think it has a lot to do with personal preference. Europapark is definitely more open and less cramped on a normal day but the narrow pathways of Phantasialand give up a special vibe to me that I really like (The two times I visited the park, it wasn't too crowded.) I'm just so glad that both parks exist! Heidepark was a bit disappointing to me, but it's been almost 10 years since I was there. But like I said, I grew up with Europapark. I figured most parks won't be on the same level as that.
