“how can somebody call themselves a coaster enthusiast when all they do is complain about anything that’s not ye greatest thing in the world.” - RubenLikesRides 2024 *Precedes to trash on Galactica*
Pretty much if steel vengeance is not your favorite coaster of all time a coaster enthusiast will yap at you showing that steel vengeance is better in every way
Wel it ain't mine its a very good one but it ain't in my top 3 even and then there are 2 or 3 i haven't done yet that potentially will drop it even 2 more places so then it wouldn't even be in my top 5. I'm pretty sure not all 3 of them will be better. Now the trim break has always been on when i ride it. If that wasn't slowing it down it might get a higher ranking but its a bit crowded on the top. My current top 3 is: Zadra, I305 and ride to happiness.
To me its the most overrated thing whats talked about in the community. I do like airtime but if its only an airtime machine i ussualy find it a pretty boring coaster. Nitro or Orion are 2 coasters that are really overrated in my opnion. Lots of the "good" woody's i couldn't really care if they burned to the ground cause they mostly do only airtime well. Not sure if he really doesn't like airtime wich is a bit weird for someone who does coasters or is like me and think its overrated.
I brought this up once in my Instagram and someone responded with a quite accurate statement: Most coaster enthusiasts fail to realize, it's okay for a coaster to be "mid" or even "boring and forceless". They don't realize that, them with their 300+ credits is not the target audience for a family or kiddie coaster. Most coasters are not designed to be the worlds best rollercoasters, it's just purely a device for providing a fun experience for a broad vareity of people. Coasters are built for the masses, they barely care about coaster enthusiasts which is only a small precentage. Anyways I am done talking.
Literally every thoosie ever understands that. It's why I don't blame parks for installing another B&M dive even though those models are beyond boring. You can both understand the park's decision to go for a mid coaster from a business perspective while also personally disliking it. These things do not contradict each other.
as one with 900+ creds i can honestly say i still like a good family coaster but they must at least pull some forces. Lots of the vekoma more family oriented coasters are still nice enough that i have fun on them. I still like well maintained SLC and old style Boomerang. The gerstlauer bobsled models are also always fun. Yeah do i enjoy rides like Zadra, I305 and ride to happiness more. Sure but if i'm in a small park that only has a couple of mild coasters i can still enjoy those to. If you can't enjoy a normale mid tier or good low tier coaster anymore. You just should get another hobby. I Ride coasters for the fun of it and yes i can bitch with the best of them whats wrong with what but thats enthousiast just doing shop talk. Most of them that aren't making you tube content and just enjoy themselves still like most coasters even the ones they bitch about.
agreed i get fed up hearing the same thing over and over again from people who only like the top 25 rollercoasters in the world. especially when they over react about roughness, not every rollercoaster has to be the smoothest ride ever! as long as it doesn't give me bruises (steeplechase) i enjoy the ride
Well some who do give me bruises i still love. Trie doing Eary force one 20 times in 2 hours. Those ejector runs at the end will kill your legs at the end.
@@rubenlikesrides_ I think he is right never really thought much about that one but its such a weird experience i have on that coaster its either bad for what it suppose to do or a really nice coaster. Could be the trimm brakes next time when it rides bad i'll have to keep in mind if thats it.
I've ridden Silver Star this summer and I found out that people saying it's bad and boring are just people who don't know the history of coasters well. It's a B&M Hyper from 2002, by the time these were the best coaster type in terms of quality, the point wasn't to have extreme sensations. Silver Star is smooth, fun, comfortable, has nice drops and air times, the only default might be the trim brakes on the 3rd camelback wich slows the train uselessly but it's still a tiny loss of speed. Shambhala is way better imo but it was built 10 years later.
I have been Europa park a couple of times and i have to say there is something weird with that one. The first time i went there it wasridding so bad that i couldn't be bother to trie it again. It was sluggisch and had no forces at all. the thirth time i went to park it didn't have much of a que so i gave it another trie and it was a damm fine coaster for its age. After that i had good and bad rides on it. If you only visited the park once and you get a bad day on it you are really going to bitch about it as an enthousiast. ow for a GP memeber it might still be exciting enough on a bad but an enthousiast knows how it should feel and will be dissapointed.
@@rubenlikesrides_ And other people have their own reasons for disliking Silver Star. Why is your criticism of Galactica more valid than their criticism of Silver Star?
There is an innate beauty to a plain rollercoaster. I love theming, don’t get me wrong, but there’s an awe inspiring elegance to a big B&M coaster that’s incredibly hard to improve on.
Man i still like a well maintained Boomerang after 900+ credits. Silverstar is great apart from the theming which is a bit meh. Part of me hopes that they do something else with the theming now that Lewis is leaving Mercedes (what is with that tiny random Ferrari merch store tucked inside the Mercedes PR building btw?) but knowing Europa Park they probably won't do anything. It is a bit difficult to do much with it anyway as it is a bit of a car park coaster. Maybe one day in 15-20 years' time when it is at the end of its life it might get replaced by something Mack but I highly doubt it is a priority for the park. But in terms of the coaster, I think it is great. The seats and restraints are super comfortable, it is smooth (no idea why people say that it has a rattle) and the 2nd half has a couple of surprisingly strong ejector airtime moments. If you want to get amazing airtime the whole way around the trick is to shuffle a bit forwards in the seat when loading and do your best to not get stapled and then push up on the restraint at the bottom of every valley to stop the restraint closing further. You can literally be floating for half the ride duration if you do it right.

How do you not like airtime?. Also ive ridden silver star 7 times over 4 visits and honeslty id say even though its europa park the theming in the queue and station is underwhelmin for even europe standards, also id like to say Silver star is like a really 50/50 ride i remeber my visit in 2021 and 2023 it ran amazingly but 2022 and 2024 werent so great. but the ride is also like rattly imo. but it gives some very awesome floater when it runs good but when it doesnt its just like a really meh ride. not saying its bad but not saying its amazing either, but i do agree with you thats its really fun if u get a inside row where its less rattly

Hahaha thats what we love to do the most except ofcourse riding coasters. Nah to be honest its more like nitpicking over details we do sometimes loose the sight of the fact that we all love coasters for riding them and not for discussing them. At least that with the normale enthousiasts we speak to in real life. Internet is just the naturale place to bitch about things i guess.
Well, it's certainly longer.
How do you not like airtime?. Also ive ridden silver star 7 times over 4 visits and honeslty id say even though its europa park the theming in the queue and station is underwhelmin for even europe standards, also id like to say Silver star is like a really 50/50 ride i remeber my visit in 2021 and 2023 it ran amazingly but 2022 and 2024 werent so great. but the ride is also like rattly imo. but it gives some very awesome floater when it runs good but when it doesnt its just like a really meh ride. not saying its bad but not saying its amazing either, but i do agree with you thats its really fun if u get a inside row where its less rattly
airtime is just kinda overrated. i dont mind it but thoosies hype it up WAYYYY to much
no way its amazing. i also need to know which airtime coasters uve ridden then
I don't like airtime? Do you hate fun?
its fun but it aint allat
Europa Park is the best in Germany and why would you call the tallest coster in germany bad :( *I liked the ride good airtime :)*
Maybe it sucks

I personally think it's way better than Shambhala. Silver Star is constant crazy ejector airtime. I'd rate it as my number 3 coaster in the world.
obviously silverstar is better than hyperia, even a vekoma slc is. obviously. duhh.
